  1. I think the new changes are just great. Thanks Lee.
  2. Ducman, A set of V-Force reeds will take that "top endy" feeliing right out and smooth the powerband out quite abit broader. I couldn't believe the difference they made on a couple of shees that I rode after they had been ported. They went from real peaky to real smooth without losing any power after we switched out the boyseen reeds for V-Force.
  3. Here is the weather forecast for you. Waynoka Weather

I just sent you a new PM. Please read.
  5. Happy 13th birthday dude.
  6. sredish, from what I have learned from playing with the dyno, it is safer to leave a couple hp on the table to be on the safe side of jetting. You will get the most hp from running right on the very edge of being too lean which is Ok for someone setting their bike up just for a few passes down the dragstrip. But I think this is a little to lean for someone that wants to go out riding for the day. So my answer to your question-- "Like, if I lean my main 1 size or even 2 and gain hp over the base reading, does the more power tell me it's right on or will I then have to double check that I don't have it too lean? Would be yes you do need to make sure you aren't too lean. I have heard alot of guys say their bike ran the fastest right before it blew up. I'm certainly not a know it all in the jetting department, just my .02 hope it helps you out.
  7. I like it alot. You have to understand I gave up an 80hp banshee for it so I don't do alot of talking about how fast it is because to me it really isn't a drag bike by any means. BUT, I new that going into it and wasn't looking for a drag bike or I would have kept what I had. For a 4 stroke this thing really rocks. I love how it handles and the power down low is just awesome. I have it piped with an EHS racing lid and the Cam mod done to it. I took it over to NMotion in Wichita and had Kevin jet it on his dyno and ended up getting about 47hp out of it. Stock it put out 38hp on the same dyno. I must say I am very happy with it and wouldn't trade it for anything else. Led, The river is somewhat of a GNCC style riding area without an MX portion. When I go down there it is usually early A.M. where I have it to myself so I can practice racing as fast as possible through the woods. The bad part is when people start showing up you get bikes and quads running through the trails in no particular order. it gets real easy to come out of a tight turn and go head on with someone on the same trail from the other direction. It is pretty whooped out in most areas. Makes it kind of hard to really open it up. It does beat sitting at home in the garage staring at the quad and wishing I were riding.
  8. I see your labotomy went successful. Why don't you sell both & buy a yfz. because i can't seem to sell someone in hell a glass of ice water I know what you mean. I had a hell of a time selling my Banshee and I had $1000's in that thing. I finally sold it to a buddy for less than half of what I had in it. At least I still get it to ride it from time to time. I get down to the river about once a month or so to ride.
  9. Hey Dave, I am from Hutch. Do you ride at the river much?
  10. I left it at the stock position. I believe at 1.5 turns out. This was at about 1400' elevation and around 70-80 degress F.

I have one I'll sell. $24 shipped. Let me know. ah hell, make me a good offer.
  12. Lid off and S/A out, you should be right at - 45 pilot, 168 main, and the stock needle with the clip on #5 or #6. I ran mine there before I got a pipe and it ran perfect. No backfiring or stalling out.
  13. Leta's has shut the doors and closed their website down. They still are trying to sell stuff on E-Bay under another name. LMS or something like that. Good luck on getting your parts you paid for. Sounds like there is alot of people waiting for parts from them and not getting any answers.
  14. 99% of the dyno readings I have seen of banshees have that same dip. I too was told it had to do with the stock ignition. Although the dip looks drastic I really never felt it when riding mine.
  15. Used to back when I was a youngin. We would go out late at night, release the dogs and wait until you start to hear them barking. Seemed like they were miles away so off we would go tramping through the fields to the sound of their whaling. Finally come up on them and they would have some huge ass coon treed. We even found a small one left after the dogs killed a female so we took it home and raised it as a pet. Kept it for a year or so but it caught and killed our cat. Damn, that was a long time ago. Back in the mid 70's.
  16. Awesome power for a stock stroke motor. Did Lonnie out of Oklahoma do the dyno tuning for you?
  17. Look on the bright side. By the time you get to the carb to jet it you can send in your frame to have it powdercoated.
  18. What do you mean by a strane curve.
  19. He posts over at Planetsand as DILL. I remember QUICK. I was going to mention Meat, but I see he posted above. Doesn't seem like BenBB posts as much either.
  20. Not sure on a banshee, but for your 450 it is right at A/F = 13.0 :1 I had mine tuned on a dyno and we left it a tad rich at 12.5 :1 it runs perfectly with no backfiring or stalling like you here from alot of other people.
  21. Good post Ducman. I learned alot from the Dogriders' website when I first got my 450.
  22. Don't use that cheap ass velcro that will just come unstuck. Here is the best way to go IMO for an aftermarket lid with the outerwear filter built in. I run one of these on the 450 and they are top notch quality. EHS Racing Lids
  23. I read in another thread the trade didn't happen.
  24. I have kept a 20 gallon drum of race fuel in my garage for the last 2 years. I just get it refilled when emptied. Haven't had any trouble yet. Just lucky I guess.
  25. The cut fender bike by a nose.
