My last 3 passes of the night I backed it to 7* not different in times or mph then also the the end of tge night I let 2 other people run it one person ran a 6.5 at 92mph who weigh 40lbs more then me and another ran 6.3 at 94mph weigh about 100 lbs less then me. Then I went to take it for a run for shits and giggles and the clutch was smoked. It wont even move what is your thought on this issue?
Here is the up to date plug check. I consistently ran 6.1s any 94-96mph. I changed my timing from 10* to 8* felt much better. Also i went from 2.4 at the beginning of the night then switch to 2.375 gearing didn't go any faster. Do u think my clutch maybe slipping now? Any ideas on what to do now? I still beat every one to just pass half track then they go around me. They ran from 99-103mph
I was running 90-94mph I need to be in the 98-101 range thats about what everyone else runs. If I turn back the timing will I need to regear it. Which the gearing and timing I run now it comes out awesome just the big end I need to figure out.
2.375 gear ratio with 2.81 primary just quits pulling a shorter and I think I have 1.8 float valve. 39pwk with 48p 178m 1.5-2 on the air screw and with dgh needle. I have shearer supercub pipes
I got a 521 running 500ft. Gas motor, 39 pwks +10 timing what for timing are guys running on motors? Tring to compare 300ft motors to 1/8mile motors. My motors fells like it quits pulling when I hit 5th. Could I have too much timing?
I was running consistently 6.1s @95-97mph anther guy I run has the same motor with stock ignition and slingshot (but idk what they are set at ) and same tire and his gearing is 16-38 amd another 465cub run pvl and no lockup both and same gearing as above will run 5.8-6.0 @ 110-104 mph
My motor is a 521 supercub. The first race I had a pvl on with no lockup timing at 80-85 thousands and I had 15-37 on for gearing I was running out of gearing before the finished. This race I was told to put my stock ignition back on and run 3stock and 3hd springs with all the balls in the lockup ( it the gigot sytle)my timing was 7-8 ish and 15-37 and now it wont even rev out the hole way in 5th. Need some advice Could I have to much weight and holding the motor from revving or does the stock ignition have a rev limiter in it? Idk any advice will b helpful.
Im use to running a pvl on my drag b anshees. I bought a stock ignition to try i was told it helps to get a little more grunt. If I spin tge crank with my hand it turns hard with the flywheel on and if I take it off it spins like butter. As if the magnets are really strong. Is tgis normal? It doesn't rattle. Tgey are all one parts
