  1. I wanted to change over from pump gas to alcohol & had a few guys tell me that all I had to do is switch the carbs over to alky carbs bolt on a fuel pump & GO! Then I had a couple of people tell me I had to change my 21cc gas domes over to alky domes with the switch of alky carbs. & fuel pump. I just wanted some safe suggestions on how to go about the switch. Thanks BHQ for all help.
  2. How much HP should this set-up have with +4mil/115 rods? How much more on the swingarm? & do you mean just new clutches or the basket & clutches?
  3. Just blew my banshee up & looking for new set-up. I wanted sum opinions on this set-up: 1st set-up: stock crank +4 timing CPI inframes Cheetah Cub/stock porting 68mm wiseco pro lite VF 2 reeds Boss Racing intake w/ built in crossover tube 34mm PJ Keihin carbs 2nd set-up: Same thing except im installing +4mil/110 rods How much HP should the stock crank set-up produce? How much HP should the +4mil/110rods produce? How well do the CPI inframe pipes worked with the stock Cheetah Cub? Do the CPI inframes bolt up to Cheetah Cub without bumping the cylinders? Thanks for all opinions?
  4. Im about to get my cylinders ported (MX Hardcore) soon by Kevin @ HJR & wanted to get a fresh top end rebuild while im at it. I wanted some opinions on what forged piston should I get installed for best overall performance & reliability. Im choosing one of the three: Vito's super stock, Wiseco pro-lite, or WSM forged piston. I was told that Vito's super stock was the same as Wiseco pro-lites, but not for sure. Which piston is the lightest? All opinion's are appreciated.....Thanks
  5. I appreicate all the help......I recently emailed Kevin @ Herrs Jugs Racing & he recommended his MX Hardcore porting for my set-up. He also said that it worked perfectly with my FMF Gnarly's.
  6. Im about to put a +4mil in my banshee & get the cylinders ported. First of all, the kind of riding I do is high speed trail riding. After we trail ride we cut up on the street drag racing. I need some opinions on which +4mil to get for more speed/HP.(115 rods or 110mm rods) Which +4mil would give the better HP with the same porting & my set-up? How many cc/s would I have with my piston size around 64.50 with either +4mil? How much HP will either +4mil estimate be with my set-up? My current set-up is: FMF Gnarly Pipes with Power Core 2 silencers Stock head milled (.025 installed) / also have a coolhead with 21cc domes Boss Racing intake with built in crossover 34mm Keihin PJ carbs Dual K&N filter pods +4 advance timing 16T & 40T All advice/answers is highly appreicated>>>>.
  7. I got a blown head gasket & coolant is leaking into the right cylinder, causing it to not fire when it gets hot. So im looking to buy 3 head gaskets, so I can try out this shaved stock head (.025). Then I wanna try my coolhead with the 21cc domes to see which one has the highest compression. I only need the head gaskets, Im not trying to buy 3 top end gasket kits.
  8. Im looking for a 4mil crank & I had a guy that I new from my area, tell me that he had a used one with low hours on it. Ok, I understand a 4 mil is better but what should I look for on the crank to know that it is really a 4 mil? Do it have some type of code on it or sumthing? Im most likely gonna get a new one anyway, but just wanted to know what a real 4mil look like.

  10. I called RM Stator back & spoke with the tech. (Mike). He told me straight up he know what it mite be & that I still have a 1yr. warranty on the POS CDI box. Then he tells me to switch the white/green with the white/red wire location. He said sumtimes that be a mistake on there behalf & get the wires crossed up from producing so many. so I change the location of the wires like he said & it ran even worse. So im gonna send the POS back.
  11. What is the difference in the three stock CDI boxes other than the plugs? Why did Yamaha change the CDI boxes? Which CDI box is the best?
  12. Its been more than 45 days to report the bad CDI box to ebay or they still can do sumthing about it. It started my banshee with the POS CDI box but it ran like s--t. Making me think it was sumthing else.
  13. AKheathen.....You say the newer models (square plugs) have a guessimate of 10k rpms on the stock CDI box......How much do the 95-96 model stock CDI box have? Just wondering cause I just ordered one after being f--ked by RM Stator....LOL..... U know any body that need a CDI box to install on there banshee so there KIDS can ride it? Its safe, the RM Stator CDI box is perfect for kids, wont let them go too fast.....& make them feel like there doing sumthing big.....LOL
  14. I always run NGK-R plugs(BR8ES).......I also tried the regular NGK plugs(B8ES) & the same thing. I posted a couple of times up here for help thinking it was my jetting. & the hole damn time it was a P.O.S CDI box from RM Stator. They can't get me to even look near there web page ever again!
  15. Im just posting this to let all members up here know to be aware of RM STATOR parts, if you have not been F---KED already like they did me. I brought a stator from them that was suppose to been new. When I recieve the stator, it looked refurbished. So I installed it anyway & it didnt work. I had to send it back & get it exchanged for a so called new one that worked. I got that one back & it appears to be refurbished also, but I wanted to ride bad so I install it anyway. I called the company back & spoke with there tech. name (MIKE). My stock CDI box failed, so I wanted a CDI box better than stock & he recommended I get there CDI box with adjustable timing curves + extra 1000 rpm's on it. I paid $99 for the CDI box & it makes your banshee runs like S--T. I could only give it 1/4 throttle & it revs out. It starts to break up badly like your carbs are all jacked up......It cost me alot of money trying to figure out the problem because of this 50cc imatation CDI box timing curve with extra lower rpms LOL........Its perfect to install on your banshee if your 8yr old wants to ride it......LOL......Please be cautious when dealing with RM STATOR>>>PLEASE.
  16. Good thread.......Im having that same problem right now......At first I didnt have that problem until I reused the same head gasket, so that could be the problem. I reuse the same head gasket because one of my orings on the coolhead was leaking antifreeze into the right cylinder. So I reused the head gasket & installed my stock head & thats when this BS started happening. I ordered a new head gasket & installed my stock head & the antifreeze is still flowing out my overflow hose + making a boiling noise.
  17. Can anybody give me any suggestion to what causes antifreeze to flow out my overflow hoses under hard acceleration. When I stop, my radiator make this boiling noise when I shut off my engine. I removed my coolhead & install new head gasket with stock head & the samething happen. All help is highly accepted!

  20. Can any body give me any ideas, why coolant keep flowing out of the overflow hoses under hard acceleration? I had a friend tell me, its the signs of a blown o ring on my coolhead. It keep running my reservior bottle low & my acceleration is very weak.
  21. I have always used Bel Ray H1R in my banshee, but my local dealership doesn't keep it in stock that often. I heard through a couple of friends that Klotz is a really good oil & sell at half the cost of Bel Ray. Where im from you get what you pay for, so can anybody give me any heads up on these Klotz oils. Is Bel Ray H1R better than Klotz or im just paying for Bel Ray's name?

  23. Can anybody tell me, what causes oil to leak on top of my domes on coolhead around spark plugs? Its on both sides.
  24. The coil & stator checked out fine. I switched them with my cousins banshee & worked perfectly. I noticed oil around the top of the domes on both sides where the spark plug are. What could that be? looks like an air leak!
