And you would also have to re-title your bike because the VIN numbers are on the frame tubes.

No spark after rebuild from reeds back
Jereme6655 replied to Nik's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Well.....you just hacked your harness and paid the money for the eliminator kit just to basically REACTIVATE your TORS. What everybody is saying is UNPLUG THE BLOCK BOX.....it's under your gas tank on the left side. It is the TORS brain box. All you have to do is unplug it and you disable the entire TORS system. What you did was just put the system into a loop again. And if that shorts your gonna be mad all over again. -
Ok.....servals are different port cub blocks. The porting allows them to give a lot of torque while in the low revs. Some of our sponsors have been able to get very high hp numbers without the common previous need for race fuel. They are mono-block cylinders that already come with the lower port timings however you can still have them ported for a little bit more power The wampum is a mono-block design that is more for racing. What sets it apart is it gives the look of being 2 seperate jugs....like stock. It was more designed to help out the down n dirty more in your face racing.....try and fake people out with what you really have.

What mods does the bike have......any chance there is deto happening? -
The advantages of getting cut domes is that you will be running a cool head......so you can change your domes out to either raise or lower compression. Let's say your going duning and you want your bike to run with a little more ass in the low/mid range........pull your head and throw in some smaller domes (to raise your compression) and run some race gas (if required). Then the next weekend......go trail riding and pull the smaller domes out and replace em with larger domes and have the ability to run pump fuels... Also with cut domes you can have the dome custom cut to your motor and our squish band......as every single one of these motors has variances over the others.

Nick....I'd be upset too. And since he said he would take it down this morning and still has not I would send eBay an email explaining that the photo is yours and you did NOT give permission. I think your lady should definitely get into modeling. She is absolutely beautiful. I would also ask the guy to own up to his word and send a letter to YOUR address with an apology that you can give to your girl.....don't let him swindle her address out of you. But on a serious note....I think she definitely has the looks to go and try to be a model.....she is very beautiful and your damn lucky buddy. Dont let that one run away. Jereme

Need recommendations on big bore kits, cranks, & heads.
Jereme6655 replied to k9ama's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Seeing as how the resleeving of banshee cylinders is pretty expensive......I bet if you look around on here and talk to some people you could track down a set of ported stock stroke jugs for the same price. M Id call a builder from our site sponsors here and shoot them a few questions......they will have all the parts you need to get your bike running again except for the used jugs. Also talk to a member called NYUK.....he deals with used parts for us on here and he is a hell of a guy. -
Seals, gaskets etc. for bottom-end replacement?
Jereme6655 replied to 94BANSHEE's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Most of our site sponsors carry all the parts/tools required to disassemble and reassemble the entire motor. My choices would be either Jeff at FAST Racing (farmandsandtoys.com) Kevin from HJR (herrjugsracing.com or Andy from m&m---> now no limit powers ports (m&matvonline.com All of these guys are to notch guys that can build banshee motors in their sleep..... Also don't forget the tools that are needed....like the flywheel puller... DO NOT use a jaw style puller as it will result in a bent flywheel needing replacement.. Also the motion pro clutch holding tool makes thing a breeze. Jereme -
Go to the store.....find the magazine rack (bigger store with bigger rack is better) Rip out all the subscription cards.....fill in his name....on all of them. Then check the "bill me later" box....

What is your compression at? Normally you do not need to rejet with just the addition of a head/smaller domes......however it can/will change your compression and fuel requirements. To be honest....I wouldn't think of running anything over stock compression on anything less than 93 -
So say shipping is $150 and let's say the weld job is $65......makes it $215 total. New crank is $400 for a stock crank........ Not to mention If it were to fail in a very bad way it could damage more than your crank....

Maxis rzr2's ......meaty enough to get you through when you need em to and just enough that with a whole lotta throttle and a little body English you can get em to cut free

You do a leakdown test after you rebuilt the top end?
-
mods? elevation? current jetting? TORS still connected? also do you have the choke tube in place between the two carbs? i've seen this before.....happened to my buddies bike. pulled his carbs and cleaned the hell out of them.....then tried jetting and everything else.......nothing changed it. Finally he ordered a used set of stock carbs. Threw those on and it solved the problem.....so somewhere internally in his old carbs there was something wrong.
-
correct me if im wrong here guys.....but i was pretty sure you didn't have to rejet when you change out for more compression. I get that its always good to ceck your jetting whenever you cange something.....even if its just to make sure..... however to go up 6 sizes on mains and to go up 2 on the pilot.....makes me think there was an air leak.

how to look for a leaking crank seal
Jereme6655 replied to jthemmer's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
also the one that alot of people tend to forget is to spray the spark plugs with soapy water.....ive seen multiple times when a set of plugs "seem" to be tight......then you spray em and realize thats where your losing your pressure from... -
Well....if ydo need to rebuild your carbs (if they're stock mikunis) then Jeff from FAST (farmandsandtoys.com) will have them in stock.
-
What mods are done to it right now? What jetting is it running currently? Is the choke tube back in place for starting?
-
I find someone with the sync tool as I had an issue like this after I rebuilt my carbs. Grabbed my FAST sync tool and checked and it was the idle was turned down too low on the left carb....turned it and synced both carbs and it straightened everything out...

banshee missing on right side, need some help
Jereme6655 replied to Sandworks's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
How about the choke tube? -
Because that is how you test automobile radiators and the banshee also has a sized radiator cap that is the same as a few import cars
