As I recall the mod quad uses a true 3/8 key stock and the jj&a is machined down a touch and the wheel hub keys have machined marks on them so you can easily adjust you hub spacing equally.<br /><br />Now with that said. I have an EARLY JJ&A and it does use the full size key ways. But its OLD, like one if the first ones old. Im not sure when they made the switch but Id be amazed if your axle does not have the cut keys on it.<br />

Get it started and turn the fuel off. See if it cleans out as the level in the bowls drop. You said the one time you started in immediately after turning the fuel on and it was clean. Leads me to believe the floats are too high.

I have never used one, but I have held one. Im sure at the end of the day they work just as well as some other, however as I remember they have their own dome design so you will be forced to use just their domes. Where with say the PD, MQ, Charriot, etc. you can use all the same domes. This might not be an issue when you first order it, but I can assure you D&Ds big concern is not sending out domes for a banshee so you might be waiting a bit before you were to get new domes, and I can assure they are more spendy than the other domes around.
