  1. I personally dont have a problem drilling into my frame, I just know that some others do. I like the current design. Killer work as always!
  2. Thanks man! These were originally made specifically for drag racing, so I adapted them to be used on a stock chassis as well. They are $225 shipped for a standard front or $300 with a grille. Rears are also $225 shipped, but if you order a set of front and rear they are $400 for the standard front and you choice of rear or $475 for the standard front with grille and your choice of rear.
  3. I was actually going to ask you if you made anything like this. I had one like this on my old bike, it used existing mounts.
  4. Here is a picture of the standard front hood, and a standard hood with stainless grille. The Grilles are custom made for these fenders by JDS customs.
  5. Just go to my website at www.fast-fibers.com. I am working on updating my product list. I can do custom cut fenders, carbon fiber inlays. I have several chopper fender molds that can be done in both fiberglass and carbon, and several other items in the works.
  6. I'm glad you like them and thanks for the props!!!!! My goal was to make a quality product that everyone could afford. Thanks again! Brad Fast-Fibers JD you will have your fenders tomorrow!
  7. My kill switch is a ground switch and the other wire goes to the Black/White wire on the CDI.
  8. yea thats who i got it from, he said he had done by somebody but I couldn't remember who he said it was.
  9. I'm not sure if raptor covers will fit, but banshee shock covers are readily available.
  10. Im talking about the one on the right side. I have one identical to that one. I picked up on an off brand chassis from a guy in oklahoma.
  11. I make fiberglass fenders myself and if you hear it cracking you've gone too far. Post a picture of the mounting points and maybe I can give you a hint on how to fix it. Thanks, Brad Fast-Fibers
  12. Looks like you've done a seat for me. I picked up that last gator seat with a chassis. Beautiful work.
  13. The discoloration is called "stress whitening" and heating it up can take some of it out but it will never truly go away and that point will continue to be a weak point in the plastic and eventually the discoloration will return.
  14. The price of the fender includes a stainless grille made to fit the fender and JD will soon be set up for custom grilles If you do not like the generic grille that is included.
  15. Again although these are modeled after a stock fender a plain stock grille just simply won't work. The mounting points and the overall shape of the grille area is completely different.
  16. I use a hot wire bow to cut mine but you can use a serrated or electric knife. You want to take your time though so you don't get a choppy seat.
  17. Thanks JD I am very pleased with the way that they turned out. I think what we can do is once I get a few things worked out and some more in stock, I will just send you one to work with and if you decide you would like to use one we can go from there. Sound good to you?
  18. Surely there are some talented painters down in california. What area are you in.
  19. The grilles I had made are not long enough to make the cut outs larger so if you want to try it you will need a larger grille. I actually cut one larger before I had the grilles made and was not happy with the way they fit. Because the grille is not flat it wasn't able to make the bottom follow the radius properly without making in the grille two pieces at the bottom, and then it just rattled. Here is a picture of the grille. http://i993.photobucket.com/albums/af53/Fast-Fibers/samis131.jpg http://i993.photobucket.com/albums/af53/Fast-Fibers/samis133.jpg http://i993.photobucket.com/albums/af53/Fast-Fibers/fenders022-1.jpg The opening is plenty large enough for cooling purposes, and in my opinion will look killer with a good paint job, and without the dumbo lights haha. I personally don't own a stock frame bike and had to borrow this one for the pictures.
  20. www.clearrad.com ebay and I believe www.rockymountainatv.com carries them from woco engineering Hope this helps
  21. The grilles actually aren't flat they are are bent down the center length wise. Also they would need to be rolled not bent because the fender itself has a radius at the bottom. So you run into a pretty complex shape.
  22. Yes quaddad is fortunate enough to get the first one ever made. haha Rubberneck JD isn't set up for custom grilles for these just yet. I had him make a generic one to include with the fenders. I just need to send him a set so that he can get exact measurements, but you can buy them with out the grille for $225.
  23. www.fast-fibers.com Here is a link to the website. Unfortunately like all other one piece fenders they do have to be removed to access the radiator cap. I have considered doing carbon fiber, but they are expensive to do and demand for full carbon fenders is just not high enough to produce them full time, also due to the complex shape there would have to be exposed seems. I however can do carbon inlays such as a carbon strip down the sides or the middle to incorporate into a paint scheme. As far as a gauge pod goes I could probably work that out if I had the gauge and an idea how you wanted to mount it.
  24. I actually have 5 different styles or rear fenders, However because these started as drag only fenders the mid evil style is the only one that covers the fender mounts on the factory grab bar. The cut your own style will cover them as well and allows you to create your own unique fender. Rear fenders are $225 shipped however if you order both front and rear they are $400 with a closed front or $475 with an open front and stainless grille. I personally would have like the grille to be larger than it is, but because of the radius at the bottom of the face, they are as large as the can be without creating a gap between the grille and fiberglass. The openings are approximately 4"x 8" which is plenty for cooling purposes. The grilles are custom made for these fenders by JDS customs, and are mounted with all stainless hardware and include o-rings to prevent vibration and rattling.
  25. They are very similar to the stock weight. I could do them lighter but you run into problems with them vibrating apart if they are too thin.
