Well, that's simple, because I SERVICE all types of shocks. That was an easy one.

I dunno, it might be a crazy idea, but I know if someone called me to determine thread/pitch on some ball joints for arms that I didn't even make, I'd be a little upset. Especially when Lonestar has a phone number, too. Sure, he sells ball joints, but in order for the OP to know whether or not stellar sells his particular ball joints, he should probably know which ones he needs, rather than calling with such a vague question. Once the OP establishes which ball joints he needs, I suppose he could call stellar and order them, but I think it's pretty rude to call Tim and waste his time trying to determine which ball joints go onto arms he didn't even build, when Lonestar would have the answer in approximately 1.67 seconds.

Money order's aren't out of the question, but often times I quote a worst case scenario on jobs, and they end up being cheaper. Also, Dave, until I know for a fact that the people who's cards I ran were indeed the ones who received the shocks, I won't be posting any info on them. The way it stands right now, the "card holders" had no idea of the transactions. I think it's a total crock of shit, but until I know for sure, I'm not going to do that. I think all 3 transactions were the same person, possibly using a friend/relatives credit card. I think they thought it through. One of the orders was picked up at the post office using one of those orange cards they put on the door. Well, according to USPS policy, they are supposed to check ID when someone comes to pick up a package. Supposedly to stop people from driving neighborhoods, stealing those orange cards, and going to the P.O. and swiping packages. I know for a fact, I've picked up several packages, and not been carded, but the USPS claims that it was indeed signed. Since everything has to be done in writing, I'm waiting for those government hacks to get off their lazy asses and actually do something. Additionally, all 3 packages were shipped from UPS stores. UPS SHOULD have record of transactions, but again, everything has to be in writing. UPS tried telling me that I would need a court subpoena to get them, but I sent a demand letter anyways, so we'll see what happens. -

Showers, toilets and water on site at glamis. It's called don't be a broke ass and bring one. Also, I can confirm on the toothless bitches. I saw 8 female teeth the entire 5 days I was there. -
Um, I wouldn't call stellar and waste his time with questions about lonestar arms. I would call lonestar, and ask them the thread/pitch of the ball joints. Then, you can either get the heims with studs from ASR, or you can buy new ball joints directly from lonestar.

Credit card fraud is not something new. I also don't run my businesses in the ice age. I don't use traditional POS systems and 90% of my processing is done online. MY credit card processing company has very little to do with the reasons the money hasn't been returned. It's something you agree to when you sign the papers. You accept visa, mastercard, discover, and AmEx's terms... Their terms state that every transaction must have a signature. That's pretty tough to do when it's over the phone. I won 3 very successful businesses, and I'm pretty well versed on how to run credit cards. I use Authorize.net. I'll be damned if I'll use anything that is related to Intuit. I have many reasons, but none of them pertain to this incident. Of course, if you shipped to the billing address with signature required it would be tough to dispute, however, not all orders get shipped to the billing address. In this case, as well as for MANY MANY MANY other customers, their shipping address is different than their billing address. For example, not ONE of my credit cards "bill" to my house. They are all billed to a P.O. Box. It'd be pretty difficult to get UPS or FedEx to ship to a P.O. Box. Also, it's not uncommon for customers to use a different billing address than their shipping address, so simply saying "Only ship to their billing address" is out of the question. ALL (Every one of the 3) "ship to:" zip codes matched the billing address. The customers ALSO had the entire billing address, and it was input into my interface at the time the card was run. This was a pretty well thought out scheme, and no matter how smart one might think they are, criminals will ALWAYS find a way around it. At this point it's best to just limit transactions to face to face, cash only transactions for the time being. I am in the process of dealing with the UPS stores that the shocks were originally shipped out from, but everything has to be in writing, which takes a while. I'll spend 10x as much as I lost, just to see it through. -

Well the carbs should be dead on Get them perfect, then start chasing other problems. Build a leak down tester and see if there's an air leak. Have you switched your plug wires from side to side to see if it changes sides? -

Did you make sure you put gas in the left side gas tank? Sync your carbs and try again. Check for air leaks on the left side, especially since you just did a rebuild. -
Wait... So there's a reason they're still putting them under superduty's right? Silly kids.

I'm not so sure the "something" about Michigan is a good thing. That's why I was asking.

Is this motor in Michigan?
-
Wait... so you mean to say that generic hydraulic seals from Tractor Supply aren't the proper ones for Works shocks? You don't say.

Sand Toy* Capital of the World. Yes.

You could probably dune one in Michigan or Oklahoma... Neither of the places are big enough to get out of second gear.

Well, the good news is, that likely the piston pieces aren't in your gears since that is a separate "compartment". It probably locked up because either a rod is broken on the crank, or the piston is seized in the cylinders. Don't try to remove the flywheel without the right tool. You'll just screw it up and there is a serious shortage of flywheels. Seriously, they're like gold around here. You can remove the cylinder studs and pull the whole cylinder off of the piston and get a pretty good view of everything, without removing the flywheel. http://bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=140912 Use that link to give you an idea of what you'll be getting into. -
Suspending ALL new work until further notice

I've been asked that several times now. It's simple. It breaks down to a "Well, I've been a member for X years, you know who I am!" Once everything gets settled, and I have an opportunity to talk to a few other people in the business and see if they do things differently than I do, I may change my mind. I don't simply have the time to evaluate every scenario, and every person to determine whether or not they are trustworthy. 90% of my customers are great, and I love doing business with them. This is simply a suspension [pun] of work at this time. It's not a set-in-stone determination of So Cal Suspension's future ATV business, but for the time being, face-to-face transactions is all that I will be doing... for now. -

I have signed work orders sent with each job. They are on my website under the "services" tab. Still means nothing, apparently... These people know what they are doing. They are doing their own signatures different... All 3 orders, looking back on it now, were shipped from UPS stores... I'm going to try to contact UPS stores in the area and see if they keep a record of payments on each shipments, say, if they used a debit card to pay, or something. It's just really frustrating that people knowingly take advantage of someone who does this essentially as a hobby. I don't make hardly any money doing this. Call a big company and fuck them out of their money. People are doing it maliciously. I started out because people were asking me to help them out. In three short years, I turned it into something that now pays all my bills, and allows me to stay involved in this industry. I've branched out into the Off Road Racing scene, which oddly enough, is where my suspension work started back in 2001. -
Effective immediately, and until further notice, So Cal Suspension Systems is suspending any and all new orders/work. In the last two months I have had 3 Banshee customers file chargebacks with their credit card companies, citing stolen credit cards, totaling nearly $2,300. All three of these customers called me several times, discussed work, and paid over the phone with credit cards. I am unsure if these people are BansheeHQ members, but I would assume they are. Two of the phone numbers have since been canceled, and the third one just rings and rings. Two customers from Michigan and one customer from Canada. My credit card processing company has done essentially nothing for me because phone orders do not contain a signature -- No shit. I am still fighting all of these with shipping receipts/statements and luckily I kinda sorta know how to dig up shit on people and ruin their lives. PayPal is no safer. Disputes on PayPal usually end up in the seller (me) losing because all someone has to do is say their shit was stolen or hacked into. People know what they are doing, and frankly, I don't make enough doing this to justify continuing losing money. Point blank -- Unless you are standing in front of me with an ID and credit card, or cash, I am not accepting work from you. That being said, I will still be doing work in Utah the end of May for the ride there. All of the work that I currently have will be finished and shipped out as we have originally agreed upon.
