The previous owner of my shee had removed the lid and then used screws in the top to hold the filter skeleton in place. Kinda looks hillbilly but serves the purpose. I will end up doing something to it but it works for now.

Just part of my sleeve that I have been working on. I do plan on actually gettin suspension on the shee too but this will do. Whatcha think? I know some people hate tattoos and some people love them so to each their own.

I just got some cheap tires for my shee on the back. I got nanco tires and they were under half the price of the major name brand tires and have held up great. Also get good traction in all conditions I have thrown at them so far. I think they are holeshots or razr knockoffs but they hold up great.

Another little trick that I plan on doing when I finally stop riding the shee is to use aircraft stripper to strip the black paint off the radiator and maybe polish it for looks but stripping it and shrouding it should definitely help lower temps.

I mostly ride trails and fire access roads and woods so I dont really know what setup I actually should look to run.

I am in the same boat. I am looking for cheap used elkas but I know elkas are never cheap. 450's sound great for what I want but I also dont probably have the budget for arms.

I just had this happen to me two nights ago. Was out riding in the snow and was actually racing a nice track on the side of a big snow hill. I parked the quads and came out half hour later to ride again and when I kicked the shee over it revved wide open so I hit the kill switch and tried again and same thing did this three times total and got pissed and loaded the quads up and went home. Checked the carbs out last night after it sat in my heated garage and it looked fine and it started right up and ran fine. I am hoping it was just some sort of grit or some snow/ice crystals that caused the slides to stick open. Is there some sort of lubricant for the inside of the carb or would that not be good? Also is the throttle cable supposed to be able to to come out of the top of the carbs?

Would you be interested in any turbos or turbo related parts? I have two turbos and pretty much all things turbo related. Just thought you might be interested in turbo stuff.

Sounds like 3psi would be a good starting point and it is what I am currently running on my rears. I had originally put like 15 in it and went out to ride and just spun every where I went. I hadn't ever had to air up my quad tires before so it was my first time setting it up.

Definitely Klotz evryone always comments on my shees exhaust smell. does the golden spectro smell good too. I have friends that are telling me that golden spectro is the only thing I should be running but I already bought a gallon of Klotz.

I have searched all over ebay and all I can find are the over priced moose kit that I already have. That is what I am looking for though just need the jets from like 210 to 390

Where is a good place to get jets? jetsrus.com? or ebay. Also do I want Genuine Mikuni or OEM style? or does it matter? I know I will never buy a Moose racing jet kit again after seeing the prices on jetsrus. what range is good to get I was thinking from 190-360.

Airbox no lid and I think I am like 1100 ft and it was around 40-45. Dont think it is ported. I am looking for a wide open field to do the plug chop. So you think that 280 is lean?

Ok I put on the FMF Gnarlys and K&N and changed the jets to some 280s and needle on third clip and air mixture screws 2 turns out. I had them 1.5 turns out and it seemed to hesitate when I nailed the throttle so I turned it out the extra half of a turn. I was out riding on saturday and it ran decent but was popping an snapping from time to time. Granted it was warmer than when I jetted for so I probably need to rejet down to ? I have 210s that were on it and some 270's and the three that came in the jet kit I got raped on. I think it is like 190 280 and 340. I plan on getting every jet imaginable. Well all that are needed anyway.

I was just getting ready to ask the same question I am probably going to get one just to help it shift better and for peace of mind. Sure I could take mine off and grind it my self but who is to say that I would take off enough material or take off too much... I love doing things myself but would also like the idea of the longer dowels. My shee defnitely doesnt like to shift when under pressure. Case in point I was racing a 450 across a sandbar/rocky area and I couldnt get it out of third while racing but under normal loads it shifted out fine.

I tried type f and toasted my already weak clutches. So I switched to belray gear saver and havent had a problem yet. With the new hd tusk clutch and belray this quad is amazing now. Never realized how bad the clutches were slipping.

I also run 32 to 1. And I run Klotz. It smells good and only smokes a little when it is cold at startup. I dont run more than 40:1. I have some Golden Spectra pre mix that actually says to run it at 64:1 which I think is way too lean but I know people that swear by it. So to each their own.

I have been researching it and it is definitely going to be a bigger PITA than its worth plus I have two friends that joined the local police and I will just talk to the cops and see what they say. I have already talked to two of them one said just keep it reasonable and dont ride late and the other said keep it off the road or else... but SHE is strict as shit.

I live in Jamestown Ohio and have a ton of places to ride somewhat close to home and family also live by me. I love riding everywhere and want to maybe try to legalize my shee for the street. Pics of what you had to do would be great. I have a feeling that it needs brake light and turn signals and maybe mirrors. I would love to roll by the cops on it and see the look on their faces. Even though the jamestown police are cool with me. Let me know whatcha got.
