  1. I have the roller detent. How would you say i need a new trans and all that were you being honest or sarcastic?
  2. I was thinking about it and it was the clutch adjustment screw not the eccentric. lol. But I am going to try and clean the grooves off the clutch basket and see if that will help. I plan on going through the motor and trans soon though just so I know whats there and address any issues. Also I did the easy spring roller modded shift shaft and shift star.
  3. Mine has been doing it from when I put the tusk clutches in and I have adjusted them several times and it doesnt seem to help. It only does it if I dont warm it up and it doesnt do it every time. Also I am running Belray gear saver for the trans oil. Some peple swear by typeF atf but when i put it in mine it worked for about 15 feet and slipped like crazy changed it out with belray and no problems since.
  4. When I got the shee the clutch lever was inoperable because the previous owner had lost the nut on the eccentric screw and was running it that way for who knows how long. So if it is shift forks how would I know without tearing into it. I hate having the shee down for any amount of time... lol. I can do all the work myself usually. I will probably be changing out the clutch basket too because I noticed the "ears" have some grooves.
  5. My shee does the same thing occasionally. I just start it up and run the clutch in and out a few times to get it to work.

  8. I have noticed that sometimes when under hard acceleration I cannot shift easily unless I reach down and pull the shifter up by hand. Or I can let off the gas and slow down and granny shift it. I have the tusk hd clutch modded shift shaft and star. Also have k&n no lid and fmfs properly jetted. I run belray gear saver and klotz r50. I think that is about it. any help is greatly appreciated.

  10. I am going to try to get everyone to go this year. Last year I had around 15 guys lined up to go and every last one backed out the night before... talk about pissed I have my own trailer now so at least two quads if they are still running by then.

  13. I know it is a dumb question but I am dumb to lockups but could I use this on a stock setup and be able to access clutch adjustment without having to pull whole side cover? I think I am on the right track and if so how are they about leaking?
  14. Me and the wife might try to make it over there I have my own trailer so i am the only one who can back out now... I will bring the shee and the lt-z400 its all up to the weather though hate make a long ass trip and be miserable.
  15. I just had the same exact problem the left pipe wouldnt even get hot at all and ran like crap. I tested the cap and got a reading of 12k ohms resistance so I bought 2 NGK caps for 3.99 and put in new plugs and the shee is screaming again. I am so glad it is running full strength again
  16. yeah I didnt adjust it at all so it might need fixed. Hopefully that is all that it is...
  17. Ok I have a 98 banshee fmf gnarly pipes K&N no lid jetted right and just modded shift star and shift shaft and added a shift-pro roller. Went out riding and shifted great until third gear. I was racing a trx450r and a new kawasaki 700 and was smokin em up to third and it wouldnt shift into 4th unless I let off the gas and shift it or if I shift it by hand it seems to shift out. What could this be? I know it is aggravating the piss out of me.
  18. I just had the same thing happen and it eventually cleared up. Just got some dirt or grit in the carbs and caused them to stick wide open. Gonna clean em out today and look into an airbox lid or outerwears...
  19. I tried atf type-f and had issues granted it probably just exposed my weak clutch but I put Belray Gear Saver 80W in with the new clutch and have never looked back... A little more expensive but it will last longer and works great.
  20. We will likely have around 15 in our group I might be the only banshee though... Oh well I hope to smack around a couple of the 450's in my group. I know it shouldnt happen but I was close before when I couldnt shift on the throttle...
  21. I have a 92 si stock z6 aem cold air and aem high flow rail ground control coilovers gsr fat fives centerforce dual friction clutch 53900 cam cf hood and cf duckbill and a bunch of other stuff. Unfortunately I am in ohio and you said no single cams just throwing it out there though
