  1. i have the same thing, 19cc domes in a pro design head. i have 180psi in each cylinder. i run at sea level and i have been running VP c12 rase gas. its around 108 octane.
  2. seems like it would be a little rich but i had nearly no smoke when i started it up and it was running great except for the response issue. i also forgot to mention that i just repacked my silencers although im not sure how that would cause it but it cant hurt to mention it. didnt have it up to WOT 6th gear but i will wring it out tomorrow, do a plug chop and report back tomorrow.
  3. heres another jetting question for you guys. when i hit the throttle quick from idle it kinda bogs before it picks up. when i ease into it, it is really crisp and clean. im wondering which way i should go with my jetting to help this. right now i have 280 mains and stock 25 pilots, all my other mods are in my sig. any help is appreciated guys. thanks -Ryan
  4. happened to me twice when i first got my bike running. i put a lock-washer before the nut and had a friend help me hold the flywheel tight while i cranked down on it with everything i got. hasnt come off since. i do have a question though. is it possible to shear the key without the nut backing off? would the flywheel spinning alone have enough torque to break a key? -Ryan
  5. i have a small handheld metal engraving tool. would it be recommended that i go over my vin to make it more visible or would that be a bad idea because it would look like i tampered with it?

    WTB pickup coil

what year is it from and what kind of condition? thanks -Ryan
  7. i just found mine. right under the shifter on the frame. i think its like 5" from the middle of the first peg bolt. on some frames they are stamped very lightly so use a wire wheel as opposed to anything else to get the paint off, dont grind. -Ryan
  8. damn the only a-arm i need is the bottom left one.

    WTB pickup coil

    TTT
  13. only ones i can find are the ricky stator ones on ebay for $40.
  14. alright tested everything yesterday. the stator is good but the pickup coil is shot. -Ryan
  15. i have an ignition coil and a CDI. i will test them tomorrow to make sure they are good. let me know. -Ryan
  16. get a clymers manual. it tells you how to test everything. i wish i had mine right now i would quote it but if you have a resistance tester, test for resistance in the red wire and the green wire i think. they are the ones that go to the stator. not the red/white and the green/white (they go to the pickup coil). if its good there should be between (dont quote me on this trying to remember) 80-130 ohms? if its bad there will be infinite resistance. if im wrong (and im pretty sure i am) maybe someone else can chime in. -Ryan

    WTB pickup coil

i need a pickup coil separate from a stator for a 2000. if anyone has one lying around i need a good working one asap. -Ryan
  18. will you sell just the lower riders-left side a-arm? pm me please. thanks -Ryan
  19. alright guys, i replaced the CDI and the coil. also removed everything unneeded from the harness like lights, tors, voltage reg. etc. according to the clymers manual and what guys have posted on here. still have no spark. only other things that it could be are a bad connector on my harness or a broken wire somewhere that isnt visible. i am going to get a resistance tester monday and go through every individual wire. but i also havent ruled out a fried stator. i dont know how a stator would go bad after riding for like 3 hours over a period of 3 days. any input from you wiring experts out there? -Ryan
  20. thanks guys -Ryan
  21. once again, super easy communication and transaction. one of the best and most reliable sellers on here. A+++++ Thank you very much Tony. -Ryan
  22. also, do the insert tubes go from the headpipes all the way through to the tips of the silencers or do they only go part of the way through?
  23. i pulled my silencers apart yesterday to drill and install some sheet-metal screws because the rivets on my P.C. 2's were wearing off. i pulled the cap off of one and it was completely empty. no packing, no insert tube, nothing. the thing is, my bike ran great when it was running a few weeks ago. is it okay for the motor to run it with no packing? i am definitely going to buy some packing and make some tubes for them but is it okay for me to run it for now until i do that? also when i put the packing in will i have to change my jetting? thanks guys. -Ryan

    happy halloween

a little late but happy halloween guys. A cabbie picks up a Nun in San Francisco. She gets into the cab, and notices that the VERY handsome cab driver won't stop staring at her. She asks him why he is staring. He replies: 'I have a question to ask, but I don't want to offend you.' She answers, 'My son, you cannot offend me. When you're as old as I am and have been a nun as long as I have, you get a chance to see and hear just about everything. I'm sure that there's nothing you could say or ask that I would find offensive.' 'Well, I've always had a fantasy to have a nun kiss me.' She responds, 'Well, let's see what we can do about that: #1, you have to be single and #2, you must be Catholic.' The cab driver is very excited and says, 'Yes, I'm single and Catholic!' 'OK' the nun says. 'Pull into the next alley.' The nun fulfills his fantasy with a kiss that would make a hooker blush. But when they get back on the road, the cab driver starts crying. 'My dear child,' said the nun, 'Why are you crying?' 'Forgive me but I've sinned. I lied and I must confess; I'm married and I'm Jewish.' The nun says, 'That's OK. My name is Kevin and I'm going to a Halloween party.'
  25. alright thanks -Ryan
