  1. The state owned spots are all first come first serve. Little Sahara Sand Sports has reservations online http://www.lspsonline.com/cgi-bin/campsite_select.cgi. Deuces Wild does too, but you have to call or email them. To make a reservation, contact us by phone or email: Phone: (580)824-0085 Phone:(913)972-2209 Phone:(913)972-2201 deuceswildcampground@live.com
  2. I have a Regina X-Ring. No good pics of it, but it looks pretty decent. btw. those shades were made by Oakley several years ago. I have no idea what they're called but I know I saw them in a Oakley store in Chicago or DC or somewhere when I was in highschool
  3. new pipes will help with your power for sure. if you're wanting to ride in any sort of mud or water you best leave your airbox on. I always run 91 (the highest we can get here) in my shee, a lot of guys mix 50:1 just be sure your're using a good oil (AMS Oil, Klotz, etc). I personally mix 40:1 just because it works out perfect 1 bottle to 10 gallons...its more or less a personal preference thing though. good luck with her though, 'shee's a good looking quad. O, and welcome to BHQ.
  4. ya you need it. there is kind of a half moon cut out of the shaft where it goes, if its not there look inside your flywheel (its magnetic) its probably stuck in there. if you can't find it you'll need to find a new woodruff key to replace it. when you put it all back together make sure you set your pickup distance away from the NUB on the flywheel, not the body. had a friend get in a hurry a while back and set it up wrong and ruin his brand new pickup on his RS stator. just take your time and rotate it by hand before covering it back up and you'll be fine.
  5. I definitely don't want to get into 110 octane, it's just too damn expensive and annoying to get. But I will most likely upgrade the carbs and all when I do it. this bike is going to get done all at once, not this piece by piece take it apart15 times game that i've been playing.
  6. my current setup has the shift pro kit and modded star and it's still pretty awful at shifting. I've all but given up on finding neutral and I often find myself finding extra neutrals between gears.
  7. ight...so 28 or larger carbs. what do you guys think about getting an override or straight cut gears?
  8. I only live 45 min away from F.A.S.T. so I'm going to have Jeff do all my portwork and whatnot. I a little worried about getting "too much power" (if there is such a thing). I don't want to run longer than a +2 arm b/c of the trails at little sahara OK where I mostly ride. Correct me if I'm wrong but the long rod motor is 115mm and the stock is 110mm right? What more can you tell me about override trannys? prices?
  9. I've got most of the stuff built up to put together my '05 roller which I am building to be a dune bike. As of right now here's what I have planned for the motor: +4 mil crank CPI In-Frames Dune Port Cylinders V-Force 3 Reeds Coolhead w/ cut domes shifter mods, timing plate, tors removal and all that good stuff. A few questions for you guys. What mods do I need for my bottom end? What carbs to run? I don't know much about long rod motors but is it worth getting? Any other input you guys have I'm more than willing to listen.
  10. 320ish I'd guess. I Run 300's at 1200ft.
  11. Just buy a steel shifter such as Moose and just weld a piece in.
  12. that's a possibility. it sounds rougher than that though....like metal slapping on metal kinda of rough.
  13. So my last trip to the dunes I was having a heck of a time hearing a loud clack. It only shows if i was in powerband come out and then get back in, it will clack. I thought it was my chain adjusters so I made my own and it didn't help at all. it's coming from inside the case i'm pretty positive. It sounds almost like there is too much slop in the gears...if that's a possibility. Anybody have any idea what it could be?
  14. that's trike-rampage weekend so expect it to be pretty packed. i got a big crew going of 20-25 guys with trikes and quads.
  15. it's true. Putting YFZ arms on a Shee is just like buying +2 arms for it.
  16. A guy I know bought a set of these "no namers" for his WR250 and they work pretty well. They look EXACTLY like the fluidynes my buddy has on his ATC450R
  17. we'll be there sat-tuesday. 2 YFZs, 2 Banshees, 250r, 450r, ATC450R, 250EX, WR350, XR200
  18. I'll trade you 2 sets of FMF Fattys and silencers. lol.
  19. Bel-Ray Gear Saver Hypoid Gear Oil 80W. Buddy of mines dad has run ATF forever and never had an issue.
  20. I for sure got 7 guys going. Taking my YFZ and Banshee, along with a TRX250R, ATC450R, TRX450R, TRX250EX, WR250, and another YFZ and Banshee
  21. I have a buddy that's real big into vintage mopeds and he will just set them on the charcoal grill overnight. Seams to work pretty well for him, I've never personally tried it though.
