  1. I was watching the carb sync videos on you tube and was. Wondering what that bottle is in front of the carbs. It sits horizontal.
  2. I had te same problem. Put two new to me used carbs from e bay now mine purrs like a kitten at idle. Look at your throttle cable and make sure it is in it's keepers at the y. I put some quiksteel on mine to hold them in there. Think that was 1/2 my problem pulling the carbs out of sync. I am new to banshees too and my first one was also a rebuild. The one thing i learned is the carbs have to be the exact F*in same or it wont run worth a shit.
  3. My current motor has lot of stripped holes etc. A spare would be nice just don't want to get a bad deal.
  4. adjust it at the thumb throttle now
  5. so can you not just run some 12v lights like what you get for trucks and stuff? Will less work?
  6. I already traded for one project banshee. I know where another one is for 450. Is that a good price with the motor in a box? I don,t really trust my motor because it is kinda shotty I think I need a backup
  7. Got my new to me carbs on and the right one is leaking fuel out the back drain. what causes that? and also the kill switch on the h-bar doesnt work. it is the factory one.
  8. Looks like something got on top of your piston
  9. Depends if it is the engine side or tranny side. Engine no jb weld tranny yes
  10. Sounds like the right carb slide is open allowing thw brake clean in the motor
  11. North Alabama. I will sell it. That is why I got it.
  12. Does a 240 main jet sound about right for 480 sea level and toomey t3 exhaust, k&n no airlid?? I think it has a 230 in it now.
  13. I will be trail riding. So I guess these are a good fit for me. That is good to know because if this engine blows on me I am parting the whole thing out on ebay. What is this bike worth? 1994 model. I traded a beat up 1994 kawasaki jet ski even for it so i don't really have anything in it.
  14. Are the carbs synced? Might only be on one cylinder.
  15. Is that good?? I am new to the banshee two stroke world. Will any silencer match up to them? Are they for top end or low end?
  16. No clue what exhaust i have, came with the bike completely in pieces. I think it turned out nice though for my first banshee, and the fact that i put every bolt in it from nothing. I just want to know what the hell kind of exhaust i have and what is it good for?? I don't know what it is ported, but it has wisecos, and no airlid with a k&n.
  17. If the new cars don't fix it I will have to. The guy I bought it from bought a bunch of parts a guy had off of several bikes. I'm thinking these carbs were somebody junk. They have leaked gas from day 1. If this fixes me I will let you know havoc
  18. I just bought two more off. Of ebay. Mine look like they have had hard life so I bought better looking ones.I have no idea how they had them set either.mine is blowing fuel out the exhaust too!
  19. Fiddled with the carbs and now the left cyl is glowing red on the header pipe
  20. Why is it overloading with fuel? And sometimes it will start revving on its own. The clymers doesn't explain well.
  21. I got both of the dots in the windows. What else is there to it?
  22. I bought a banshee a month or so ago torn completely apart and rebuilt it. This is my first banshee or any twin 2 stroke for that matter. It fired off the first kick and was running fine on the right cylinder and the left wasn't running. It needed a new throttle cable so i put one on and figured out i had the wrong carb cap and needle assembly on the wrong carb. So i swapped it and the cable and fired it back up and now the left cylinder runs and not the right. If i pull the choke on the left carb the right cylinder starts running. If i let off the choke the left cylinder starts leaking fuel out of the vent on the bottom of the bowl. Please help so i don't have to go to a dealership!! It is like the one with that cap starts hogging all the fuel.
