Stock with pipes no airlid kn filter. Wiseco pistons. I am going to run 310 mains with 27.5 pilots. The pipes are toomey t3s ele is 400

My next one will be built right. I threw this motor together with old parts while the good one is down. Use the right stuff on your good motor. I scraped orange rtv off of this one so I just threw it back together with blue.

A few months. I wouldn't think it would get much over 200 to 275 deg.

I used blue rtv gasket maker. No problems yet.

Where is the best place to get a mikuni jet kit? I see one on ebay for 30 with all the mains and pilots. I don't want needles just jets.

You hit it dead on with the throttle, plus this thing is geared 15-40, so that doesnt help takeoff either. Elevation is around 400-500 ft. Im in north Alabama. I have no idea on my pilots, but I do have another set of carbs with 280's in them off of a parts bike I bought for $400. The motor from that bike is better than the one I have now (pistons, reeds, etc.). I bought it for with the juggs off and and found the kickstart spring against the clutch. Guess they thought the bottom end was gone. Anyway I bet the Pilots are bigger in those carbs too. I will pull them out before I swap them and see what they are and clean the carbs real good. I think i am going to run the airbox off the other bike. It has a lid on it with holes and a Twin air foam filter. I dont think i have enough mods for no airlid. Does in or out richen it up?? My jetting looks dead on by the plugs (a nice medium brown color), but I loaded it in the back of the truck and bogged it on the ramps and died. Drove home and it wouldn't start. Spark was good so I gave it a shot of starting fluid and cranked right up. Now it cranks again first kick. Any ideas of why it was not getting fuel?? Are my air fuel screws out of adjustment?? Currently 2 turns out. Mods 240 mains with toomey t-3 pipes, stock silencers, k&n no airlid, bored over a hair W/ Wiseco's.

Cheked the pickup coil gap to the flywheel?? Fixed my spark prob.

If gears don't affect bottom end, then i guess you start out in 6th gear all the time. I have a set of 14-41 gears also. What would be the best tight trail gear?? 13-41 or are you saying put a 13 with my 40 rear?? It feels like I start in 2nd gear all the time now heavy throttle to get going or it boggs. I have no reason to go 80mph.

My shee is geared 15-40, is that why I have a weak bottom end?? I also have a 41 rear sproket, that should help the bottom end. The front is welded on from the prev. idiot owner. Havent really heard people talk about gears on here. I need input. What are stock gears??

Well it isnt a dog on the bottom end, just doesnt pull like it does on the top.Where do you start on the air screw?? It idled good so i left it there. That is my question, will the air fuel affect bottom end and which way to adjust (out i Guess). I checked compression and it seemed good. I have an extra motor though as you can see in the pics so if i blow this one sky high i dont care!

will these give me more bottom end than the t-3's???

how do you get bu the 50 kb crap?? I was trying to attach it but posted before i got it done.

Tried out my banshee today and man will this thing run!! Only thing is the bottom end seems sluggish and then it screams after it gets revved. I think it is my pipes.I currently have toomey t-3 installed and also have these others that i dont have a clue what they are. Would they help even out the power band?? The darn thing died while idleing and wont start back now. I think the coil went out cause it wont start with starting fluid either. It usally starts and i dont have tors. anyway. Would the air fuel screws help the bottom end?? I am currently 1/2 turn out on them. Does in or out richen it up?

Is there anything wrong with running the top vent tube on the overflow tank straight down to the ground and cutting it short??? Will it cause any problems?

I put a new thumb throttle on it and adjusted the top screws on the tors individually and guess what? IT RUNS ON 2 NOW!!!!!

Yep. the air fuel is the screw on the side, right?? What is a good starting point there?? It is running, cause the exh. is hot so i know it has to be just something small. Can anyone tell me why the choke makes it run???

so what is the advantage of one, i have both.

Got my banshee running good enough to ride it around a little, it idles on one cylinder though. IF I pull the choke one notch out, both cylinders idle. I turned on the screws on the side and nothing really happened. THe right side was running, just not lke the right. Adjusted on the right side cable and it never picked up. Took it down the road wide open and it ran about 25 ft on one cylinder then the right side fires and it pulls both wheels off the ground. This thing is freakin scary fast on both cylinders. Where should i start??

Man did i get a freakin' deal!!! The bike had Vitos .50 over power pistons which look like they have never been ran, Hinson billet clutch basket, Itp wheels, 2 sets of plastic, Performance reeds and cages, Boost bottle, Toomey pipes, and EVERYTHING to put it back together. I just want the pieces, so if anybody needs anything i have some extra parts. will probably sell one set of pipes.
