  1. I don't like going below 20psi. But there has been times that 14-12 psi is the only thing that is going to get me unstuck. Thats with a chevy 1/2 ton towing a 7 by 16 enclosed trailer. I went between 20 to 25 on the trailer. I start at 20 and when they start to spin I just stop and air them way down. There is nothing worse then getting stuck on a busy weekend with no one helping and your wife flapping her lips on a hot day while your trying to get unstuck.
  2. I like haulers. A 21 or 22" would be best. The taller tire keeps the back end from dragging in the sand when you get into the really chewed up or deep ruts.
  3. Quad its a good price almost too good... Almost thinking of driving out to see if it is legit. If its not I would only be out gas money.
  4. I am wanting to buy a bike online and got shipping worked out. My question is what can I do to not get screwed. I need to pay pal the guy and everything looks legit but I want to make sure I get the bike. I am going to use paypal and I thought there was a way to put the money in an account and then release the money when I get the bike. What have you guys done to make sure you get the bike? Thanks

My question was how much more hp will it take a 2 stroke to be equal to a 4 stroke in a race, all other thing being equal. riders, tires, weight ect.

  9. I know that a 2 stroke will show bigger numbers on a dyno. If you were to line them up and race how much more hp would the 2 stroke have to make to be equal with a 4 stroke. I know that it takes alot more $ for a 4 stroke to make good #'s, and thats fine because I will let the other guy spend the money on the 4 stroke.

  12. So is there a correction factor? Ported 450 say low 50hp vs a ported banshee 60hp, who wins?

On another website that I was reading a 4 stroke making the same hp as a 2 stroke will beat a 2 stroke, and that the 2 stroke will need to make more hp because of the way the 4 stroke makes its power. I believe it has to do with the torque is made so much earlier. Just wanting to know if that is true? And all other things being equal.
  14. your to lean or a fuel problem. Try going up a couple of sizes in jetting. Also make sure the fuel is getting to the carbs. Pull the gas line off at the carb and turn the gas valve to on and see if gas flows out to see if there is any blockage.

  16. went to sand lakes saturday and it was dead. I wasn't expecting a lot of people but there were maybe 10 cars in the hole parking lot. Did anyone else go to any other Oregon dunes over new years and were they as dead?

  19. I would like to stay pump gas, 180lb, dune/drag. How much gains would I see from porting the cases, and cpi's and are carbs worth the investment?
  20. I currently have a 99 shee with fmf pipes ported jugs no air box milled head and + 4 timing. I noticed my crank has some play in it. So I need to split the cases and get the crank rebuilt. I also just put in a new top end. My questions is what else should I do to it while I have it apart. I was thinking about a 4 mil cub but thats more then I want to spend right now, plus I wanted to pc the frame and get an + 4 to 6 swingarm and still need paddles for it and I have heard you can get a 350 to run pretty good. I wanting to know the best use of my funds. I can't do it all but I was thinking porting the cases, cpi pipes, 35mm carbs, or other? and what gains would I see out of it. I was hoping to get in the 65-70hp range but that could be just a pipe dream. let me know your thoughts.

  22. I can't remember were those spots are I do know that most of those roads that don't seem to bad, there are some at hauser that are easy to get to. Its not to far away form horsfall.
  23. what is the thickness of the rim? How much tread is left on the tire?
