  1. k so i did a little messin around today. got a digital caliper out and at TDC i got34mm. at BDC i got around 88mm... i put the head back on as suggested and put the caliper in the hole. maybe im slightly retarted cause i feel like im not doin it right at all. you said rotate it a 1/2 turn. am i rotating the flywheel? fml
  2. k so put the top end back together temperary, put the digital caliper in the spark plug hole, and turn the crank 1/2 turn and it should read 58 mm. if it does read 58mm it has a 4 mill crank.?
  3. k so if i put the piston on temperary and jug and head. i take the spark plug out. do i put the piston at BDC and stick a digital caliper in the hole and see if its reads 118 mm?
  4. no its not together its just a complete bottom end. so no jug or head
  5. thanks t shee. i bought some lime green ppg epoxy paint, the same shit i put on airplanes.. seems pretty strong. we will see, i got it all etchprimered and now just need to green it, and clear it
  6. whats the best way of meausring the stroke/? with a micrometer. and do i measure from the bottom of the crank to the top of the rod. or do i need to just measre the rod, like take the crank apart so i can just get a bare rod to measure? i confuised
  7. k i want to paint my frame. no i dont want to powercoat it, i did it to my 660 and once it started chippin it was all over. i just neeed to know what kind of primer if any are recomened and paint to use. and how many coats to use. il prob start primering it tomrrow. i was thinkin lime green or bright orange. for the final color. on top of a tad bit of clear. thanks for any feedback
  8. k soi just bought a 4 mill botttom end. how do i know for a fact its a 4 mill. they said its a hotrod4 mill. also what else do i need besides pistons, jetting, porting, and a plate/ or cut domes to make it run. thanks
  9. no it comes with both cases. i just took it apart to show that the tranny is still good in it. does not include piston jugs or head. everything else is included
  10. no it doesnt comewith the top end. just the whole complete bottom end minus a clutch basket

  15. sellin a bottom end, my buddy made me a hell of a deal on 4 mill motor. so parting out my old. its a stock bottom end, crank seems good. it has a rm stator. i tore it apart, but comes with all hardware that is labeled in zip lock baggies. all in pics is what you get. pm me wtih your email and i will send pics. right now photobucket isn lettin me upload thanks andrew

  17. k i appreicaite that. but im also wondering what else i will have to do? like will i have to get my cases trenched if so what is taht?
  18. k so i got a 98 shee. i basically ride tight fast trails and open fields. i been wanting a 4 mill set up. what all do i need to do to my motor- and buy for it . and average cost. also is a 4 mill good for trails, or should i just build my motor up with the stock stroke. if so .. what would you use
  19. my primary gear looks fine. its only the gear that goes all the way around the clutch basket and dircectly behind the basket is messed up. when kicking the motor, the small gear to the left that binds with rear gear on the basket is a little messed up. if that makes since.
  20. i think i do have a bent shaft. i took it apart today and i had to put a 2 jaw puller on the basket to get it off. i then had to take the gear to the very right of the basket off which i belive is to the coolant impeller? i then had to mesh the 2 gears together perfectly to get them both on. it was NEVER this hard to take it apart. are the shafts expensive and im guesssing i obviously have to split the cases correct?
  21. should i jsut by a new gear that goes to the kick start? thats where the 2 touch. if that makes sence>>

  23. yes the gear on the back of the clutch basket keeps gernading. its the second time its happend i say in 2 months. sorry no pic. stuck in class all night
