Watch out for those outlander 800's. There is a slightly modded one that hangs around our local spot and flat out hauls ass
-
You can run up to 4mil stroke without case work. Your going to want 2 carbs for a cub
-
Pull the caliper off and make sure nothing is frozen up.

The pwk and pwk AS are awesome carbs, far better than the old pj's. I have always found the pilot jet is a little tricky to dial in but they are great carbs,.
I also absolutely SWEAR by the single carb kit on the banshee. Easier to tune, easier to jet,way easier on the thumb, more power in the low rpm,and snappier

get pink ones
-
If you are going to run them at is,be sure to have the ports chamfered like wildcard is saying,or your headed for a big problem
-
Went to change my lower ball joints, and both of them broke off inside the a arms, one broke off when it was almost out,and the other never budged.Maybe a machine shop could do it?
-
I would run the two into one,but i would not buy it new from trinity, used ones can be had for half the price.
-
you need to use the trinity acorn nuts it centers the head.

I had a problem with a pro flow style adapter not sealing with the airbox. So i just jb welded the adapter in lol,no more leaks.
They are talking about using air filter oil btw, your supposed to oil your filters.

I wanna see a loaded run with a briggs and stratton pipe

alright, im new to two strokes. actually been out of the atv world for a while. Got the itch to get back on the trails, so i found a man selling a 03 shee asking 2500(paid 2300). Saw the bike and instantly loved it.
it was tastefully put together from what i can see
wiseco 65.25 mill
fmf sst exhaust
fmf pipes not sure what kind, that are red, any idea?
kN in stock air box
tors edit
vforce 2 reeds
new clutch
nkg plugs idk if they are the best...
but the bike has orginal plastics and they are FLAWLESS and the seat just as nice.
heres my thing, now it runs like a top starts first or 2nd kick everytime. but these guys i run with are all on yfz 450s and they moded. and i can hang with em for the most part but they are still faster and it pisses me off. now ive seen where every talk as the shee is the king of drag but why are the 450s out running me? what do i need to smoke em? my buddy told me to just get yfz and ive already got an offer on the shee for more than i paid. should i keep the shee and build it? and if so, what would be the best route to go? and no, im not made of MONEY. so try to economical. or should i sell and get a yfz?
It is a very common misconception that 450's are slow and automaticaly should lose to banshees. Not to knock banshees whatsoever

Before you ever fire it up,before it even goes into the frame, pressure test it.

I think it just detonated. Piston skirt is fine and rings still in place and there are zero pits in the head
Detonation would cause pitting, pitting and missing metal are the #1 signs of detonation
looks to me like something got in there

gncc and xcr are both great fronts

I just meant,28mm is a good size,but i always like a single 33mm

Hello all, first post........I'm guessing this question may have been beat to death but I'd like some fresh ideas on my current situation. I have a 99, mods are cool head with 18cc domes(I believe), stage one port(prolly go to a stage two next year), bored .90 over, FMF Gold Series Fatty pipes and I believe power core silencers, blaster reeds, boost bottle,K&N s with outerwears, no box, mikuni 28 mm round slides( they were killing my thumb so I just put on a twisty), with I believe 270 main, not sure on pilot, advanced timing of about 5-7 degrees, call it six because I'm not 100% on that, Teflon coated pistons and not sure by who, I ride half and half trails and dunes and want some sort of bottom end, I run bel ray gearsaver, engine ice, and I mix 1 gallon of vp110 with 4 gallons chevron supreme and use Klotz r50 to make a 40:1 ratio. I have been pretty set on getting mikuni flat side 28mm, however someone has suggest Keihins, I'm still researching them but it appears that they are a bit more expensive, I ll spend the money but I want good value, reliability, and something that a relatively noobie individual can work on himself in terms of jetting. Any constructive comments and concepts of what brand and size of carbs i should do are greatly appreciated.
Bob
P.S. I will likely go to Toomey T5's when I go to the stage 2 port as well, unless someone wants to talk me out of it...... And i mainly ride in Utah and Nevada from elevation anywhere from 3000' to 6500'.........thanks again to all who help me out.
Sounds like your on the right track

I mean when you had your cylinders ported, they raised the port roofs,if you use a spacer it will raise them even higher. If you throw the kit together with no additional porting,it will run,but it may not be optimal. Sometimes port jobs can be changed to work with 4mill cranks to make it right, sometimes they cant. Before i spent 700,have your cylinders looked at and find out exactly where your height and durations are, then someone who knows about porting can tell you exactly the right way
-
Wait your at 64.5 and you want to jump to 66? Why would you throw away 1 and a half mm of bore.
See if they can give you the kit with a smaller bore piston. I have ran 4mils with spacers and cut domes, cut domes are the preffered method, but spacer plates will work. If your cylinders are ported though, and you throw a spacer in there it could throw your durations way off and make it not run very well

Should've ordered the Ohtsu. They are a hard hooking tire.
I really wanted to try them based on your opinion that ive seen on here, but im about broke and rmatv had free shipping. The ohstus cost about the same, but i couldnt find free shipping. Im just trying to get ready to play ride this season, lol
-
I figured 9s would have better protection from rocks,I wanted to try ohtsu's but i ended up ordering standard rzr's The rzr's dont hook as well as some tires but they last me for freaking ever
-
Just wandering the better rim and tire size is for trails and why?

If you fill your radiator all the way up to the top,it will push some out,at least from my experience. I would start it up with the cap off and rev it real good. If you have an engine leak like a head gasket coolant will spray out sometimes,It should move and slosh around, but not spray out hard

A single 33-35mm carb pushes more hp/tourque in the low/mid range on a mildly built bike than a dual setup, there are dyno charts to back this up.
