  1. Adjust your floats to stop the leak, make sure the carbs are clean. Make sure your choke tube is intact.   Make sure the carbs have the same settings. How does it run?       If the right one smokes more it doesn’t mean it’s a crank seal,it could, but I find most of the time something else is out of whack.          Tuning isn’t going to help you very much until you fix your float/leaking issue

  2. This crank welding business is weird. Ive built a ton of banshees, several variations of 4mil hi compression and lower compression. Stock stroke everything etc.   Not one time have i had one crank welded and  not one time have i had a crank problem.  In fact in my garage i have a 4mil drag port with cpi inframes,33pwk's,+4 timing, noss head runs on 1/2 93 1/2 race fuel, and a normal old 4mil hot rods.  Had it together for 3+ years and no crank problem.   But not to knock anyone who swears on it,to each his own. Guess im just lucky.

  3. Rear brakes are for wheelies...and if youve ever come down a 500 foot coal pile you will want that brake there!

Whenever i try to use the rear brakes on a loose soil downhill the rear just locks up and goes crazy,i just use compression braking.

The only time i use back brakes on downhills is when i have to almost stop.

The only other 2 times i have found them useful is on emergency stops, and then when trying to loosen the axle nut lol!
