fyi it doesnt matter if the parking brake was removed. the wires have to be shorted together to disenguage the parking break rev limiter,sometimes this wiring can mess up

How far will it rev?      If it starts up easy but wont rev it could be something as simple as your parking brake switch. Trouble shooting by buying parts is never a good way to go.

Ive built/repaired more banshees than i can remember,and I watched someone port my 88lt250r cylinder from start to finish,And what i saw was nothing your ever going to learn from a template.     He said endless trial and error was how he learned.

 

Learning how to port from a template,is about like learning to paint a portrait with a stencil.

 

 

He was the same guy i took some ported banshee cylinders to,to check them out. The porting looked fine to me,but after he measured and pointed stuff out,he came to the conclusion that it wasnt even safe to run.

In my circle of friends we have had a vito's hemi head,vito's stroker kit/cylinders,vitos big bore kit,stock style crank.

Never had any problems with any of it.  The big bore kit was slow,but never broke.  Now this is not to say they havent made bad stuff,im sure they have,but   nothing i have personally seen or used was bad.

 

Of course if your patient i have seen hot rods go as low as 310.

Why is it that almost everytime someone has an engine built,and it blows up in the first couple months,they always blame the builder.    I see threads all the time where people are saying "im going to call out the builder if he dont make it right." It seems like noone even considers that they might have just done something stupid.
