YEah that sounds like a decent deal just for the fronts alone. Not sure if the rear will fit but you vould probably sell it if not and make a decent amount of your money back. I'd buy em for that price all day.

Alright guys i am looking to trade my 1996 banshee for either a Honda 450R, Honda 250R, KFX 450, 450 quadracer, Quadzilla, or YFZ 450. I would really prefer an MX or trail 250r but would be interested in 450's also. Nothing wrong with the banshee i just found one for rediculously cheap here local that i can build how i want and then have a separate trail ride also. I have removed the graphics from the gas tank since they were starting to peel. All mods in signature below also just added Razr MX's to the rear pretty much new. Will come with a couple boxes of stock parts and a set of Kenda Gnarly's for the rear with average tread, some random front and rear tires with average to below average tread (good spares) and a full set of studded razr's on rims. Also have an extra set of 22cc domes for the cool head. For a larger pic e-mail me as i cant figure out how to include it here. I've got a 96 banshee. Great trail quad, modded but not overly so. See mods below and pic. It has brand new Razr MX's on it now. Also would come with quite a few stock parts and a full set of studded tires and rims, also 2 rear kenda gnarlys decent shape, set of 4 old razrs that would be good for spares but not great tread by any means, set of hand guards not installed. Let me know what you think. Might be able to add a few $100's to the deal if needed but would prefer not to. Runs great and quick as hell.

Hey i was wondering if you guys could make any suggestions for setting up a 400ex for hare scrambles. My buddy is going to be getting into it. Our local shop is telling him to put a lowering kit on it but to me that sounds completely wrong. He has a pretty good sponsor lined up so budget shouldnt be a problem. Let me know what you suggest. I am thinking about getting into it next year with my shee but all it's going to need is a woods port and suspension since it is pretty much already set up for low end power. Appreciate the help.

1.6 quarts. I use motul trans oil and haven't had any problems. Everybody uses something different so you will get a ton of opinions on this.

THats a great idea on drilling the shaft. Let us know if it works. I went ahead and had the gear welded on the shaft for now. When the season is over i'm going to completely rebuild the bottom end. Just hope it holds that long. THanks Guys. I will have it back for a ride this weekend and will let you know how it holds up.

Hey this is kind of a shot in the dark but was wanting to go riding this weekend and was putting the shee back tohether, when i went to put in the shaft and ball that goes in the shaft that the clutch basket goes on i ralized that i didn't have the ball anymore. (Thanks to my son throwing it out in the yard come to find out) So long story short the local shop cant get me one until next monday and we had a ride planned for this saturday. If anyone has one they would sell that would be great. I will even pay extra shipping to have it overnighted. If you have one reply to the post with an e-mail and i will get back to you ASAP. Not implying that you are wrong because you have been around here and in the banshee world for a lot longer than i have, but why stay away from the 2 to 1? Like i said not implying that you are wrong because i really dont know but if it is something that i should sell and replace it would be good to know. Thanks

I'm fairly new to banshees but the one i bought has a good setup for trails minus suspension which is stock. The biggest problem with trail riding banshees is the lack of bottom end power. So depending on what the one you buy has on it for pipes i would get a set of FMF Gnarly pipes, smaller sprockets, shorter rear tires. (Don't go too short or you wont have shit for clearance) Trinity 2 into one intake and carb setup. plus the suspension upgrades everybody else suggested. I have priced all the suspension parts used and you should be able to do that and also the mods for low end power. Especially if the one you buy has a good set of aftermarket pipes that you could sell on here or trade for some gnarlys. I went from a KFX 400 to my banshee and have been very pleased with its trail rideability. All my buddies told me i was stupid to get a banshee but have received nothing but compliments any time one of them rode mine so tell you buddies to F-off and laugh you ass off evertime you pass them like they are standing still. O.K. i had some problems shifting the banshee recently and when i pulled the cov er i found the washer and circlip which holds on the idler gear sitting in the bottom of the cover. I bought a new one and also a new shift shaft just because i was already in there and figured why not make sure it is good too. When i went to re-install the idler gear i realized that the groove that the circlip sits in was damaged pretty bad and had bbroken off a little bit towards the outside of the shaft. The circlip will not seat properly and therefore wont stay on under pressure. My question is can the shaft that the idler gear sits on be replaced without splitting the cases? If not could i take it to the local welder who does amazing work and have him spot weld the circlip and washer to the shaft so my idler gear cant come off? I am going to replace the bushing in the idler gear but dont want to tear the whole motor apart right now. I figure if i can either replace the shaft without splitting the cases or have it welded on and it will last me through the summer i will be happy. I realize that welding the washer and circlip on are not the correct way of fixing this but cant afford to have the cases split right now and will probably rebuild the bottom end over the winter months anyway so am not to worried about haveing to replace that shaft that the idler gear sits on at a later date. Let me know what you think and any other possible solutions which are better than welding them on. Thanks!!!!
