  1. On a side note I see we have a few people from Alabama in here. I'm from Birmingham myself. Where do you guys ride mostly?
  2. When you say its bored .100 over is there any other significant supporting mods or just the enormous overbore for nothing? I currently have PTR mids with fatboy2 silencer and am very please with the punch they pack. But I think for the price I would rather have CPI or Shearer in-frames.
  3. Is there a significant temperature difference between today and the last night you rode? More that say 10-15 degrees? Are you sure both air screws are set equally? Possibly trash stuck in the needle and seat or maybe a dead hole?
  4. 27.5 pilots and 1 1/2 turns on the air screws. The larger pilot will help cold start. You may have to lean the clip out one notch.
  5. That was throttle open. So we need to kick it more.
  6. Compression test results in Cold engine 6 kicks per cylinder 75psi left 85psi right! What do you guys think? It ran great last sunday!
  7. Sounds good I am currently looking at JT sprockets 13 & 42, and a DID 520ATV X-ring chain. My banshee has Paul Tuner Mids w/ fatboy 2 silencers, K&N 2into1 with no box, 320 mains 25 pilots, .020 over wiseco's, VF 3's . How do you think the gear selection will work out for me
  8. I think it is time to change out my sprockets and chain. I was wanting to get some input on gearing. It is stock as of now. I mostly ride power line trails and do some occasional drag. It has the stock sprockets now. I'm going to replace both sprockets and do a new chain, so I was wondering if 13/41 would be a good choice. Also I would like to know which chain would be best for my application (Non-Oring, Oring, Xring) and which sprocket would be better aluminum or steel. Is there any performance gains between the different types of chains and material of sprockets?
  9. How much has the temp changed? The jetting is probably a more than a little off Try probably 6-8 step off.
  10. The 320's seem to do the trick quite well!!! Man this thing is awesome. I'm super stoked right now. I still have a little tuning to do on the pilot and I need to remove my TORS. But shee feels great.
  11. Alright I got some 310's and 320's I'll try those tonight. On the clip which way is more lean and which way is more rich? Also the idle air mixture screws clockwise is richer right? I was watching the sync video on you tube, but my carb's aren't setup like that. They don't have the adjustment screw on the side. There is a large adjustment on the back of the carb's facing towards the air filter. Its about the size of a nickel with a flat blade slot in it. Is this the sync screws? Also my left carb is open more at idle than my right, is that correct?
  12. I found a set-up in the jet thread a little further down, guy is running pretty much the same setup as me. accept he is at sea level. He's running 320 mains and 50 pilots. Once I calculate that down to my elevation would that be a good starting point?
  13. A little run down of the quad. 98 banshee, mods include .020 over fresh cylinders and bottom end, V-Force 3's, Moose boost bottle, K&N 2into1 pod and Paul Turner mids w/ fatboy silencers, stock box with lid/snorkel. I actually purchased it last night, overall I am very pleased with the performance of it. Now for the problem, i got it home last night, it was about 55 degrees outside and it rode great. It had excellent throttle response, and great pull in the band. I couldn't really stretch it out b/c it was 11:30 at night and the headlight wouldn't work. So this evening after work ( 42 degrees) I decided to poke around with it a little, I converted the 2into1 pod to an open element system (No air box), drained the fuel and put in some fresh leaded 111 mixed 52:1 with golden spectro. Well I kicked it off and it was bogging real bad and idled like crap when it was dead cold. A couple of backfires, and no power at all past about 35% throttle. Obviously its sounds like it leaned out quite a bit. I don't have a clue what size pilot's/mains are in it or even where the clip is set. So my question to you all is where should I start with the jetting pilot/main sizes? It also appears that the carb's are out of sync a little, the left one moves before the right one. The right side doesn't start to open until about 10-15% throttle.
