  1. What is a banshee pvl ignition? and are there any benefits, also is it more reliable?

  3. Well i ride a lot of tight trails and open fields so i figure faster shifting but will the shorter shifter perform better there?

  8. So yesterday i took the clutch cover off to look at the shift star and whatnot. After i took the basket off i was amazed to see the previous owner already put in a modded shift star and the shift good kit. My shee still isn't shifting like it should its still tough. Is there a adjustment for the shift shaft or some other adjustment I'm missing. I already adjusted the clutch from inside and at the lever.. So any help would be nice. Thanks!
  9. I'm thinking of buying one for myself and was wondering the same thing. Mine broke today and i was wondering if there was any noticeable difference between the stoker and the shortie.
  10. Thanks after swapping the coil and cdi out i realized there was a broken wire for the pickup coil! I appreciate all the help! She started right up first kick after i fixed the wire.
  11. It is a 98 shee with oem stator and new oem coil... Just installed new stator and it wont start. The bike has been witting for about 3 weeks. Before that it ran great but then the stator went out. Got a new stator and coil! Need some direction on where to begin. Any help is much appreciated i miss my baby!
  12. yea ive had problems with them.. there are sending me out my 3rd stator haha as long as they keep sending the ups postage ill keep sending it back for another one! Im looking into a oem stator or im even willing to try a rm stator
  13. I don't know what the advantage over duals are but i have the 2-1 setup on my shee and it rips! I have the 35mm with fmf knarly pipes and v-force 2 and from what ive seen over other modded bikes its the way to go!

  15. eh Ricky stator is junk! but o well check the green and red wire on ohms. Your ohmmeter should read between 13.7 and 20.5 Ohms. I just recently sent back my 3rd rickystator... If its still under its year warranty send it back and get another... its free just make sure u mention that u want them to pay the shipping and they will send a ups label! But if i were u id find a oem one or go with rick's stators but always good to have a spare!
  16. i had a bad stator and the headlight fluttered but other than that no spark... Check the green and red wire on the stator! Good Luck Also what kind of stator is it?

  21. Set your ohmmeter to test resistance (and the correct range if you need to), and touch one test lead to the terminal on the red wire, and the other test lead on the terminal on the green wire. Your ohmmeter should read between 13.7 and 20.5 Ohms, so if it reads 15 Ohms your stator ignition coil is OK, if it reads
  22. First id check to see if your flywheel is tight... I had this problem a few days ago and ripped the clutch cover off to find nothing wrong it was just the flywheel being thrown out of balance on the crank.
  23. I just wanted to thank everyone from the HQ for helping me trouble shoot my bike for the past 2 months... I figured it out and it was a faulty Ricky stator ha! Who would've thought? But thank you everybody for the tips and the post you all have done! THANK YOU HQ
  24. i have close to the same setup... v force 2 reeds, with knarly pipes and a trinity 2-1 intake and i run a 35mm carb. For a little bit of work i havent been touched by anyone around here... 700 raptor or even banshee's with dual carbs with pipes and reeds. Plus the timing advanced adds a little extra pop.
