if you were running the lid before and then put the filter on then yes you would need too. you still might need too anyways. i took my lid off and ported my stock reed cages and had too go from a 210 too a 250 main and im going too trya 260 and see what it does. good luck man

finally got it shaved and was wondering if i could run my old head gasket? i put a new one on when i rebuilt the motor. it has maybe 8 gallons of gas ran threw it. thanks for the help.

my dad did it years ago lol i think he just took the chamfer out of the top and bottom and cleaned everything up. i put new plugs in it and it is a little lean im going too go up too a 220 or 230 too start out with. i just got too pay that high price for the dang things lol

i am 1200'-1300' above sea leval, right now our days can go from 60* in the morning too 85*. they have been cleaned up and had just a little taken out of the exausht port. my plugs are black and wet lol.

took them off and it did alot better. it running rich now since i ported the reed cages. i have stock pipes, stock carbs with 210 mains,+7 timing,air box with no lid, and slightly ported jugs.i though after i di this it would be lean but it not lol. any help?

hey guys i know this is an old post but i got a few questions. when you change the port timing dont you take metal out of the bottom of the port right? and those numbers are how long the port stays open? if i decide too put put small boost ports in what size would you recomend? i want too get a set of stock jugs when i get ahead on bills and stuff like that lol,if that ever happenes and do a full drag port too them.
