im havin the same problem. i have the vm 28 round slde mikuni carbs and the bottom is awesome all the way up too about 3/4 throttla then it sucks. i have put every jet from 310 too 390 and moved the clip too every spot and it still does it. whats up guys. mods are in my sig

you can put the yfz 450 shocks on a j arm frame. i installed mine and they work great and there are no clearence issues.

well i got the 28s put on this past weekend and they rock!!! i had too go up from a 310 too a 340 or 330 when it gets a little warmer. i also have 60 pilots in them and the needle in the middle clip. they opened my porting up alot. my throttle respons was also greatly improved. i reckomend upgrading from stock as soon as you can aford it. thanks for all the help guys.

lol ill be ok grew up on dirt bikes. i own a motocross track and its about 1.2 miles long. when i start riding i can go a whole lap and then my thumb is killing me. after that i can go half a lap before it starts hurting again. but i can jump on a bike and im fine.

i usually run penziole 10w-40 in mine but i didnt have none the other day when i took my clutch coer off so i put mobile one in it. works fine yamaha shop told me too run 10w-40 in it.

My threads on my left carb are stripped so i need a left card boby. it can be with the bowls and floats and everything but all i realy need is the body.if you want too sell both carbs i will consider that but with the tors removal kit on them. also want too upgrade too some 28mms. just send me pm,s or text me 256-605-6482. looking for a twist throttle too. thanks guys.

i have a shaved head on mine because i dont ave the money for a cool head right now. its shaved .30 and i run 93 octane with +4 on the timing. i have went all the way too +7 on 93 and its was fine. so your running way too much octane

lol im going too completly take the everything off the frame next winter and paint it and fix the welds add some stuff too the frame and then ill be happy

ya i bent my j arm so bent it back with a porta power then i welded a plate on it where it bent and i noticed there welds suck.

im going too wait till my tax returns get here and just buy yfz 450 shocks and control arms and do it all then

thanks Meat i didnt know if yamaha moved the shock or not thare is not alot of room too put a bar in on the motor side of the shock because the pipes are right there and the tie rods are also. but i didnt think about angleing the bar so it clears all that. i cant sell this frame because my dad bought this bike new in 88 and we have had it ever since. i got pics of me in dipers setting on it. i can mod it however i want but cant and will never sell it. thanks for the pics and help guys.

i would really like too get the ball rolling on this soon while its still cold that way i can ride when it gets nice outside.

um if i could see some pics of an a arm frame from the side looking at the tire i could tell you which ones i want. probaly from the the bolt holes that the front bumper bolts too, too the top a arm mounts on each side.

sweet man maybe someone will. i was looking at it saturday and i think im going too need too put another bar in the frame behind the shock so the upper a arm can be put in but i have the tie rods right there and so are are my pipes. i thhink im going too have too move the shocks forward. come on guys please help us out if some someone will get me some pics and stuff ill take pics of the whole process and post them up.
