I guess since you voted you were able to sleep at night knowing that the leaders were doing all they could. But in reality we were both doing the same thing... waiting for the monkey in office to do what he said he would do. Rape, murder, and other crimes are horrible and are not to be discounted. But rape in Iraq was a capital offense. In fact even what we here would call flirting would often times be a capital offense. Granted there is no doubt that Saddams sons and other officials did rape and murder. As it turns out, there were 247,730 sexual assaults in this country in 2002 and every 2 minutes another person is raped in THIS country and over 18,000 murders. Even with Saddams perversions, this would be impossible. Crime as a whole was punishable by death and aside from Saddams perversions of justice, crime was a minute fraction of what it is here. The reality is that Americans rape and murder Americans each day too and they aren't even the rulers. If rape and murder are what this war is about, then let's fight it here. The killing of the Kurds was during what the CIA website calls... These people were innocent but because they were in what could be called "the wrong place at the wrong time" they died. As it turns out Americans and pretty much every other nation bombs people that they are at war with and they do what is called collateral damage to "innocents" or the average guy just trying to live. What about those people? Many feel that they should be happy to die because in some way they paid the ultimate price to get rid of a tyrant leader. I suspect that if you asked them before they were killed if they would like to be blown up at random to get rid of the leader, they'd probably say "no". And when you blow up a guys wife or kids because they happen to be coming home from school or the market when some guy is driving down the same street, you really are starting a problem. The one that loses his family may have hated the government and the guy that you were after but there was always some hope that he could stay away from being victimized by them. You just erased this guys whole family along with his hope and you made a life long enemy. But what can you do about it? You didn't drop the bomb, you didn't target his wife and kids. You just put your ballot in the box so you could sleep knowing that the guy you elected was going to make the whole world a better place. And every day you get up, go to work and live. Unless you live in New York and work at the World Trade Center on September 11. Then you die for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. And your boyfriend or girlfriend gets mad and signs up for the military and joins the surgical strike team to get them back for taking your innocent life. Too bad there was some collateral damage when he/she got him. Well it was only a mother and her daughter coming home from the market. Probably saved them from being raped or murdered anyway. Heck they should be happy knowing that one of the bad guys was killed too. There needs to be a way of STOPPING the violence. Life is the ultimate gift and violence never preserves life.

Let me get this out in front here... I have no doubts that Saddam is/was a crazy, violent, dictator. That being said, according to the provided link, those people were killed in 1988 during the Reagan presidency {who I did not vote for}. Did Reagan not know what happened? Then came big Bush {who I did not vote for} who also apparently didn't know what was going on. He was followed by Clinton {who I did not vote for} who also, apparently, didn't know what happened. Yet 16 years ago you knew? Why didn't you talk to the person you voted for and get them to correct the problem? Because the elected leader didn't give a crap about you, your vote {hey it got him into office what more should you expect from him} and worst of all the thousands of dead people on the other side of the world. If you didn't know about it 16 years ago when it happened when did you find out? Why did it take YOU so long to find out? Was it perhaps the elected leaders didn't want you to know? Perhaps they wanted to passify you with some other issue at the time. Now you think lil Bush gives a crap about those people? Is he now making things right? By most accounts Bin Laden is the mastermind behind the attacks on the WTC yet he remains free. Like I said before politicians are nothing but salesmen with power. I suspect that Bush had a grudge to settle with Saddam and since the whole country {really the world} was already in high panic, let's kick some butt mode, Bush stuck Saddam on the list. And since he's easier to find, we'll start with him. The salesman just slipped the undercoating into the deal and you think that means something. The fact is that in spite of what ever chemical weapons Saddam may or may not have, the attacks on this country were carried out with a little bit of planning and our own planes. I don't think the terrorists are any smarter than the average 16 year old, they just had a reason to act it out. Kind of like the killing at Columbine. What is this country doing to prevent another Columbine? Looking all over the country for every weird kid and them slapping him around, threatening him or locking him up? That was what they were doing in the weeks and months after the attacks. Then some sense of reasoning set in and instead of looking all over for crazy people {who are everywhere} that may have a grudge against someone, they screen the schools for weapons and monitor the extra strange ones while they're at school and people communicate when an issue seems to be developing. On a global level people all over the world have cultural biases based on their upbringing. Those biases are natural and in almost all cases are not destructive. But people become very passionate about "their own way" of acting and because of that, everyone else needs to change. There's an old saying... When in Rome do as the Romans do. The point being that the Romans act a certain way and it is not your place as a foreigner to try to change that. People in the middle east have a patiarchal way of ruling {which is not really so far from ideal this countries system is based on}. I will give the definition... 3. (Ethnol.) Having an organization of society and government in which the head of the family exercises authority over all its generations. This means the man of the house is the king of his castle and he is free to make the rules of that houshold as he sees fit and the members are obligated to follow those rules or face the punishment layed out by the head of the house. Most of these rules that these patriarchs imposed were religiously based {again there is no major religion in the WORLD that promotes hatred} so there are certain rules that are usually held in common with other families. These patriarchs are highly defensive of their property {which often includes the women} and their religious beliefs. These patriarchs are also very proud. So to offend a patriarch {like any other ruler} is highly offensive and to steal is severely punishable. The families morals are also heavily defended since this is the foundation the entire community is based on. This is the way it has been for thousands of years and it works for them. There are several things that can upset this balance. Too much power in one family, moral degredation and theft of their commodities. If you do enough research, you will no doubt find that Saddam and Bin Laden had been brought up under the "perfect storm" conditions just mentioned. In addition to that, as much as these patriarchal societies hate the violence put upon them by their own leaders, they hate even more the influence of outside nations who in principle probably lead to the downfall to begin with. All in all the American ideal and the middle eastern ideal is not far off... no-one wants a stranger coming into your house telling you how you should act and then enforcing that. If they keep doing it, then you want to fight back and as the saying goes... all's fair in love and war. And most people don't want to be told that their drunken father is an abusive drunk. They know it, you know it, we all know it, but he's still their father. An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. As it stands, the world condition is what it is. There is no going back and saying "what if..." because it obviously didn't work out that way.

No I wasn't kidding, I want you to tell me when Saddam killed those people. Was it one day or over a period of time? What were they doing when he killed them? And how did he kill them? {I'm assuming mustard gas} The US is NOT the World's legal authority by any legal means. The US has made itself the world's police force because the leaders of the US are control freaks and many {probably most} of it's citizens are paranoid. I don't believe that anyone {myself included} should kick the door down to someones house that lives in another state because he has a grudge against me. But I would lock the doors at night. And I certainly wouldn't be paying 40% of his income every year. And yes I would rather walk to where I had to go than buy gas from him. Just to re-cap my views so the interested parties don't have to re-read 7 pages. 1- Voting is worthless because your vote does not translate into any sort of power. If throwing your vote into a box helps you sleep at night, then do it. Otherwise it is a complete waste of time. 2- The choice between the lesser of 2 evils is not a choice I'm willing to make. So I choose not to select. 3- There are currently no delegates that meet MY standards for president so I will not choose between them. 4- The current president is an idiot and so are the other delegates. 5- The current president is a liar. His right hand man explained that there are no dubyuh immm deeez. If that's a lie the lil geo needs to grow a set and take care of his business at home. Imagine for a moment that you were dissatisfied with your leader that you voted into office. Are you going to call him up and explain that you don't approve of his handling the country? You could spend the rest of your natural life trying and failing to express your concerns to this man and when it's all said and done, good or bad, his years in office are limited and even his power expires after a time. First of all why is it that as soon as I said that we should get away from being dependant on foreign oil the only alternative is to be loin cloth wearing, spear toting, cave men, who chisel arrow heads out of solid rock? That does not have to be the case. If we as Banshee riders were told that there would be no more gasoline to run our banshees within 5 years, I guarantee that within an hour, we would all be converting to alcohol and we would also be running it in our cars even if we had to brew the stuff in our basements. There is also CNG and LP that can be used and gas engines can be converted. Let's use the commodities we have instead of throwing them in the trash and wondering where all the money went or worse paying the terrorists to kill us with the money. There are billions of tons of materials that can be re-cycled already here so you can get your guns and bullets and whatever else is made from oil if you really want it. The idea that the US will immediately revert to neanderthals when they say "no more gas in 2015" is about as bad as the greenies saying we'll all suffocate if they cut down one more tree. There is no such thing as an open ended answer. I'm waiting to see the facts. You can get it for $1 at any discount store. Spray it on/in the pipe, go have a beer, come back and hose it off. But that's just me.

The ONLY reason they have helped them is because they have kids and the kids are completely innocent. I keep telling them {my friends} that I wouldn't trust a word out of their mouths but they look at the kids usually wind up helping them out. I know I could run a credit check but I have not been able to get any of their ID numbers like SS# or Drivers license. She claims to have a license but no-one has ever seen it. She even said that her state ID was her drivers license and that there is a new state law that allows a sticker to be put on the ID to make it a license. The thing that is so aggravating is that some of this stuff is partially believable. Illinios has/had a system where you could put a sticker on your old drivers license when you renewed so you wouldn't have to go in to get a new card issued. He supposedly has a license but for sure he doesn't have a real SS#. And these numbers are never given out. The other problem is that he has a name that is the Mexican equivalent to John Smith. There are millions of people with the exact same name and about 999,000 of them live in the Chicago area so there's no way of getting anything on them that way. We also think they have lied about their ages in addition to everything else they lie about. The biggest problem is the kids. The kids love my friends more than their own parents and they just can't stand to see them suffer because their parents are idiots.

I have a couple of friends who are very generous and so have helped out another couple who have lied a thousand times about everything. Well after disappearing with all the money they had been lent, they just re-appeared and said that they are getting separated and the wife {a convicted felon} is now eligable for child care benefits because the husband {illegal alien} has abandoned them {a lie}. He claims he has a legitimate SS# but someone else in our town also has the same number {a lie}. He has a job with a good company and good benefits but their credit is destroyed because of going to those paycheck until payday places. They move every couple months when they get kicked out but now she claims that he is going to move in with his brother and pay her rent and share rent with his brother {simply impossible}. What I want to know is... 1- Is there any way to confirm a persons jail record or convictions. 2- Is there any way to confirm someones ID they use for work? 3- Are felons entitled to Social Security or SSI benefits or child care benefits or payments?

I think we can all agree that nothing motivates people like panic. My view is that politicians, who as I have said many times already, are all being manipulated by big business and are experts at controlled panic of the masses. I feel that most of the current world conflict is the result of that created panic. Right now there is no need to create panic about oil. The regime in place can produce panic that this countries democracy is in jepardy and so a war needs to be fought in some desert across the globe. Co-incidentally, the oil can continue to flow and the current president who is heavily invested in oil can keep a healthy portfolio. And this panic has created jobs. Contractors like Haliburton are hiring. So panic does create jobs, thousands of them. In my last job I worked for an company that had heavy use of computers and literally milions and millions of dollars were spent and hundreds of jobs created to assure the world wasn't going to end on Jan 1st. Historically major breakthroughs have occurred during times of national panic. Plastic was not considered tremendously usable because Bakelite was difficult to use and pretty much was all that was around during the first world war but because of the panic of really losing a war, copious amounts of money were spent on plastic development which has resulted in an entire industry today. During the gas crunch of the early 80's cars were quickly turned out with deisel engines and we all know that deisels can run on old fry oil if they have to. As far as I'm concerned the oil dependant nations have created the problems in the middle east. They have taken the angriest kid in the world, fed him, made him wealthy beyond belief, tought him to fight, armed him and then wonder why he's still angry. I say get out from under the demand for oil and let the middle east go back to being the poor, empty, desert it was before they found the oil. We can run synthetic oil, Alcohol, and eco deisel. What's wrong with that?

Yeah I sure am happy people are willing to kill for oil. It really makes my life great. I sleep so comfortably knowing that I can pump gas and turn my furnace on or buy Chicken Mcnuggets because someone is willing to kill for it. What would I do? Turn off the gas and let 'em sell their oil somewhere else. The technology is there for alternative fuels and lets face it with a fuel crisis, more people would be working than we know what to do with. What happened when people thought computers were going to melt down on New Years eve or 2000... thousands of jobs were created. And yes I do sell oil. 100% synthetic oil made right here in the USA. My commisions so far in over a year of selling Amsoil is under $3. No-one is sticking their hand up my butt like a puppet for $3. And yes all of the candidates are liars.
