set of perfect cases/complete tranny/billet intake
VWMIKE replied to DUMBASS's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
Wondering if you still have cases, if so I sent a pm. Mike -
Hey Guys, Don't post here much, but do read the forums quite often. Doing a budget build on my banshee, and just picked up a used pair of pwk's off ebay, supposed to be in good condition. What I noticed right away when i took them out of the box is the slides have a fair amount of slop in them. With the throttle closed if you push the bottom of them front to back there is probably 2mm of play in them? How tight are they new? Anyone come across this before and are they useable? thanks Mike

Throttle Sticking (only when running)

So are those holes supposed to be covered or not? Can't remember and I was having the same problem. Mike -
Hi guys, Quick question, does anyone know what size the clutch ball is, Or have there bike apart and can measure for me? Took mine apart a few weeks ago, and the ball must of rolled away, can't find it anywhere! If I know what size it is can get one locally from bearing store. thanks Mike

Banshee engine parts and exhaust

Yes that's pretty normal consumption. When We're at the dunes, we usually burn 5 gallons a day, but we usually go out for a couple hrs, come back in for a bit, go out a bit, etc etc. Probably not getting much more actual ride time than 6-7 hrs of running in a whole day. I bet banshee's burn twice the fuel a 450 does, seems we only have to fill those up every second time out! But who cares can't beat that arm pullin power band Mike

Hey guys, Quick question. Do I reuse the orig metal backing plate that the gear is riveted too? The instructions with the basket suck, they say I'm supposed to reuse the rubber cushions, bolts and backing plate off the orig, They are super generic instructions, but something tells me I don't use any of the orig shit! Please confirm. thanks Mike

I've got a set on my shee, and well everyone loves to give them shit, my bike has no problems hanging with friends with Toomeys. They're just never gonna be the fastest, but they are wayyyyy better than stock. Mike

Do you have the engine cases? If so how much and what kinda shape are they in? Mike -
Hmm guess I got lucky. I bought 6 levers from them, paid, and got them about a week later. This was after the thread was started. Mike

Bought a G-froce a couple months ago after reading good things on here! Everything worked out great, make sure you buy the wrench for the lock not as it is bigger than stock. Check out ebay for the best price. Mike

My understanding is that Rad valves add a little more low end power, versus Vforce is more topend. Although tons of guys run vforce on everything. Mike

These ones are good too http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Rear-Brake-...sQ5fAccessories Bought one from thie guy, and a G force, good price, fast shipping. Been running one about 6 months now, mostly in the sand, no rust yet, and seems to self clean well. Mike

Hey Pm me if you are looking to sell the cases. Would love to buy as I am also in Canada. thanks Mike
-
What kinda shape is the trans in? What year bike is it out of? Does it come with shift forks and drums? Shipping to 98037, thanks Mike
-
Still available? Mike

What kinda shape is the tranny in? What year bike is it out of? Do you have a kick starter hanging around? Thanks Mike
-
Like it Says, need a stock kick starter that is rebuildable. Have rebuild parts, but my screw is snapped off, and I have had no luck drilling it out. Looked on ebay but they are either too expensive considering new ones are a $100 or they want too much to ship to Canada! Let me know, would rather buy from an HQ member anyways. Thanks Mike
-
Who's that one built by? Can't say I've seen it before? thanks Mike
-
I know they aren't always the most styling. But my stock grab bar is busted on my shee, and I need to get another. I want to get a six pack rack, not so I can drink and ride, but so I can pack a small gas can on the rear. I live where I can ride for 100's of miles on forest service roads, so it would open up my range a bit, plus my buddy runs a 4 mil drag bike in the sand, so I can pack gas for him on the extended dune trips. Pics would be awesome Mike

Simple question just don't know the answer! Is the throttle cable different when you have installed the tors removal kit? I think it is since most kits I see come with a cable. If so what is the best cable to run with the tors gone? Mine is kinked inside the thumb throttle and I think is part of my throttle sticking issue. thanks Mike

Hey guys, Just got back from an amazing 4 day ride at Winchester bay, Or, got there before the crowds and had two days of perfect sand, the stuff you can ride wide open in! Did a whole bunch of work on the shee before I left. Replaced the sproket shaft seal, spacer, sproket, lock tab and nut. I noticed when I put it together, even with the nut torqued up, the sproket never got tight, it still had side play. Didn't think too much of it at the time. Today while I was cleaning the bike up to put it back in the garage, I noticed it appears to be leaking a small amount of oil between the shaft and the spacer the seal rides on, as if oil is making its way between the shaft and spacer. Anyone else had this happen before? Is the side play normal? I have a feeling my tranny is tired, maybe it's worse than I thought. thanks Mike

I think each application is different as well. I think it depends on how good or bad the stock intake tract is designed. On older Honda Cr250's it sucks, and running a reed spacer made a noticeable difference in the way they ran, especially down low.
