give Jim a call or msg him (PassionRE) he did some nice work for me at a very decent price. Best part is that he was willing to spend lots of time hearing what I want and just talking about the job trying to make me happy. We still talk about things even afterwards, like what comes next It was about $850 for his 12-port, weisco pistons, gaskets, and a Noss cooling head (in red) with domes and freight. Got the crank done for $90 at samco with a fresh bottem end seal kit. you could just send it to jim while your at it, i decided to get it done after I had already shipped my cylinders. Spent another few hundread dollars on new sprockets, chain slider kit, new chain, new clutch lever, screw kits, compression tester, shift rod, parking break block off, lower end gaskets, jets, engine ice, etc. the banshee has a TON more topend now and I can't even imagine leaving my gearing the way it was.

this might be a dumb answer but why not try another type of oil while your at it? Like golden spectro formulated for 2-stroke trannys? I used to pull my clutch in down olds all the time before I had my cases split and SDD pointed out the heat treatment was worn off. Won't do that anymore, but im also guilty of reving up and poping the clutch in 2nd gear at the drags. Maybe im just using good oil or something I dunno, but i have never even toasted the stock clutch.

Anyone Up For Another Bhq Get Together?
Justintoxicated replied to banshee370's topic in Riding and Events Forum
I hear ya on the choice, Glamis/Gordons/Buttercup is about 3 times closer and 3 times warmer, but I stillw ant to find another place to ride so I know where to go when the imperial sand dunes get compleatly and permanently closed. (as they have been slowly closing over the years) -

Which Quad Are You Beaten By?
Justintoxicated replied to Ultimateduner's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I always rev up and pop the clutch in second, yoru telling me im goign to fry it doing this? When Im at the drags everyone else does this too, so if I don't I will get beat right off the line. -
Why Do You Cut Your Plastic (fenders)
Justintoxicated replied to ninjamaster's topic in Banshee Appearance
if you get a really strong grab bar and then wack it on the ground doing a wheelie it may save you from flipping but it will more than likely bend your frame. I would much rather have the cooler rack bend than my frame. -
Aftermarket Or Stock Gas Tank
Justintoxicated replied to JTQuad's topic in General Banshee Discussion
So the IMS tank fits with no issues (hitting handle bars stock or aftermarket plastics etc?)? I don't want a huge tank but an exta gallon would be nice, the 12-port makes my banshee thirsty -

canon and nikon make the best digital cameras IMO, sony is up there too. As for video however, im not sure which is easiest to use. Try using www.froogle.com (not google) to find cheaper prices for a particular camera on the net

Problems With Rejetting
Justintoxicated replied to SiCkBaNsHeE_990's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
The pilot jets are banshee specific, are you sure you got the right ones? -
I used an aluminum bracket that I made. They were being used on my RC car for headlights, the light they give off is insane. I was out riding and my friend said he could not see where I was just this bright green gleam popin over the bowls so it made it easy for him to follow at night. On the other hand he said when he got too close he had to back up cause all he could see was green roost. Couple others told me it was distracing, they were watching the light instead of where they were going lol. Yea the Cyan looks cool, in fact I kinda like it, I might keep it, but I really want to go with a red-white-blue scheme. to match the bike is all. Im working on a billet bracket but I don't know where to get one made. Anyone have any info on places I could send a diagram to that could pump out some billet brackets for a decent price? Im thinking about making a couple more setups since some people seem to want them but for now its just a small aluminum bracket not a billet one.

shee ran great, I need to find a way to get a little more bottem end for the dune runs though. Once your on the pipe it screams. The other guy with a banshee said every time the power band really kicked on it would rev up and throw tons of sand at him. It was really fast, but it was big change in gearing and power so im still getting used to it. I'm thinking smaller domes will help with the lowend also. On the sand highway it was smokin fast! Even with 2 people on the bike its fast, but it wheelies like crazy with 2! Already put 15 gallons through it!

That drive sounds far but I'm down to go as long as I can when teh time comes. With the college situation I won't know for sure untill much later. I just have a tent, and a small trailer, would you guys mind if I brought a couple friends with me? My GF will want to go too of course. -
It was supposed to be bluuu, but I fried the 2 blue LED's on my first attempt, so I replaced them with 2 cyan ones I purchased to make a flashlight, they do look more green than cyan to me though. Im going to get some more for underlighting, probably red white and blue, they survided the 10 gallons I ran through the bike at gordons this weekend with no trouble at all.

Here is a new taillight I made before T-day at gordons. Anyone see me at the hill? with throttle reved a little Its a little less brigt at idle, it kinda flickers, which looks kinda cool. The taillight is 2 watts and pulls an entire .7 amps I plan on removing the stock red one.

hey did you find someone else to go with? Well if you still want to meet up or meet us out there, Were not by the kiddy track this time, we are closer to the dunes, and there is supposed to be a green baloon back int he air when the wind dies down... I haven't left yet, I just called the other people int he group. Probably leaving tomarrow morning.

Twist Throttle Good Idea? Or Bad?
Justintoxicated replied to limitied03's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
I agree, I like the thumb throttle. Twists are better suited for bikes, since your leaning and not turning the front as much on a bike, but if you can't stand a thumb then i guess twist is your only option -
exactly what im talking about... give these morons your information and your ebay account will get OWNED.

Storeing Banshee For Winter?..
Justintoxicated replied to screamin'twin's topic in General Banshee Discussion
I usualy just drain the fuel tank and put her in the garadge... -
I know what the manual says but EVERYONE runs 32 to 1 or leaner....People tell me im rich mixing 2R at 32 to 1... go figure....As long as yoru jetting is correct 32 to 1 is fine.
-
I found you can check the slide position by opening up the slides untill one of them disapears, my other slide still has 2mm to go. WHen I release the throttle both slides are dead even, but when I start to give it throttle the left slide always picks up first...Even if I raise the right slide to give it a head start the left slide still gets raised jsut before the right. It won't idle witht he head start thing either I think the TORS kicks in because they are out of wack. I'm going to play with the botls on the top of the left carb and see what I can do from there. Or is it the right that needs to be adjusted because its the side with the delay?
-
those are basicly the only 2 options, Or you could get a higher output stater and user lower wattage lights, but that option sucks! I think caps can be found on ebay for a decent price though.
