  1. ok so I pulled everything apart pulled the pilot out cleaned it pulled thed float out and the brass thing it sits on cleaned it everything seems fine, it still floods there is no way any metal could still be in there I used like a whole bottle of carb cleaner for each ha im going crazy here the slides are all the way down too do I need a new float and what do you mean by float height, im pretty new to this

  3. ok so i posted last night but i had another question, when i turn the gas on gas pours out of the over flow tube at the bottom the bowl just keeps filling the bike floods instantly, i think i have some metal from putting the tors eliminator thing on, how do i remove the pin to take the float off, so i can pull the needle out and clean it out really good to make sure nothing got in there either, also would the depth of the needle in the slide would that make the bowl flood and should i drop the needle down some more its on the middle setting there are six thanks guys
  4. when you say under the float what do you mean I had the bowl screwed on when I drilled the holes
  5. thanks man so how would metal get into the bowl if it was screwed on when we drilled the holes I guess it could have gone in the hole that the needle in the slide goes into? and how would I clean that out?
  6. yeah same on both carbs idk man im running outta patience when I open the bowls up the floats seem perfect idk I guess ill mess with it tomorrow
  7. just put tors eliminator on everything went smoothe, when I ut the gas on gas pours out of the overflow tubes , it floods instantly, I checked the floats they seem to be fine, any other ideas ?
  8. yeaha just out of the overflow lines the one that is connected to the bowl the main jet is in, in the bottom that long long line we got it started with starting fluid but it conks out right after Im on my phone doing this as we speak
  9. ok just put on tors system and new idle screw and now when I go to crank it floods instantly, any ideas on idle screw adjustments or anything?
  10. what do you regrese the slides with any specific grease?
  11. ok when I put the slides back in that cutaway is facing towards the front there is a groove in the carb and it can only go in a certain way though so I think its right I'll pull them back off I think I might have a kink in my throttle cable or something im ordering a tors eiminator kit with the new throttle cable hopefully it is the throttle cable it got a small kink in it where it connects inside the tors when e took it off and its onlly on one side and I think that is the side that's getting hot so that makes sense, but I have trinity stage 5 exhaust pro flow billet adapter with a k and n filter and that's it I had to rejet wit the new filter, is the filter and billet thing that bolts into the airbox is that called a pod?
  12. ok so i put the jet kit in today, put everything back together, turn the screws out 1.5 to 2 to make sure they are the same, but when i crank it up one side blows out an assload of smoke and that side gets hot, the other side still is blowing air out with a tiny bit of blue in it and it wont get hot, any ideas? i put a 340 main in it new needles they had six clips i clipped them 2 from the top so the third clip from the top so i guess thats the fourth from the bottom, and thats the prob hot and blue smoke on one side and nothing on the other, im clueless thanks for the help
  13. ok 97 banshee pro flow adapter, k and n filter, trinity stage IV exhaust, ha that's all I got done, I usually ride from 40 f to 80 or 90 f, and im about 300 to 800 ft from sea level, any ideas on a setup to try? when I bought it it already had the trinity exhaust and a dirty dirty filter, they had rejetted it with the 280, then I put the pro flow adapter and k and n and took the lid off, and everythings outta wack, way way to lean I guess I just need some opinions on what jets to start with? thanks for the help sorry I keep reposting so much

  15. i just bought some mains for 5 a piece so i guess 2 for ten is better than 2 for 16, http://www.bansheedepot.com/products.asp?cat=54&pg=3 heres the website they go up in sizes of 10 i just got a jet kit with only 340s in it, ha so shit i just ordered some 330s and 320s hopefully i dont have to go any lower man carburetors are a bitch, but when they are working, wooooooowieeeee
  16. ok i m trying to rejet my banshee and im getting so frustrated im ready to give up how much woud I expect to pay if I took it somewhere and let them do it not at the dealership though a little shop down the street def not 80 an hour right?

  18. ok so im rejetting my carbs and I just changed needles ok my question is when you're putting the carbs back together and there is a cut away on one side of the slide is the cutaway gonna be facing where the air is coming in or on the other side where the carb connects to the motor? and should I regrease the slides and is changing the needle clip and clip position is that the needle jet? and is the tors eliminator kit worth it? sory so long thanks for the help yall are awesome
  19. h yeah I forgot to say that I had the lid off too, so the jet kit I bought do yo think it will have multiple jets I can switch out till I get the right one? and will that intake help a lot once I get it running right, and the 1.5 to 2.0 on the airscrew is that all the way closed and then 1.5 to 2.0 turns open? thanks for the help man ha I got a lot of figuring out to do, should I run it down the street where I bought the dude works on them all the time and he's not like the 80 dollar an hour labor the dealers charge

  21. ok so i bought a banshee a couple months ago, it had the dirtiest air filter ever, but i was broke so i rode on it a little bit, im guessing the guy had it tuned for the dirty air filter, it also had trinity stage IV exhaust when i boughtit , so for xmas i got an intake, the one with the billet thing you screw into the air box and a k and n filter, and when we put it on, it was like way way to much air was getting sucked in, it was running extra lean, i have no clue about the air screws or how any of the carburetor stuff works i have an idea but i havent played with it enough, so i ordered a jet kit from dynojet, stage 2? it said the jet kit was for full exhaust and an intake, did i order the right one?, or do i even need it?, the guy i bought it from said he rejetted it for the exhaust so i really dont know, it runs through the gears really fast and with no power, im just trying to make this thing faster ha and im clueless, any help?
