  1. had them on my gf's shee and on my 734r. shifter was in the way with the shee but not the raptor.
  2. i remember that very well. the rail driver was doing a wheelie across comp hill that night in the middle of the hill. i remember the quad rider was hurt pretty badly. the guy that was riding the quad owned a rail himself. the driver of the sandrail wasn't the owner of the sandrail. there was a big stink about this incident on DDR after it happened. this is the first time i seen pictures of the banshee though.
  3. i happened to notice that yesterday too.. you'd think they'd google it or something first.
  4. that's the most extreme degree of rake on a nerf bar that i've ever seen! heh.
  5. i've seen that motor run, and it runs extremely strong. the mechanic that built it broke his back running that motor. i've personally radar'd it 69mph up banshee hill at dumont about three years ago, while it was still being tuned. i already have a 4mil, but if i needed another i'd purchase this motor.
  6. correct me if i'm wrong, but i thought Wiseco manufactured the "Hot Rods" crankshaft? i've seen complete "hot rods" crankshafts and i've seen stock crankshafts with "hot rods" rods and from my understanding the wiseco hot rods crankshaft is already trued and welded where-as the stock crankshaft needs to be trued and welded.
  7. my pingel leaks, has leaked for atleast three years, but never that bad. it's so slight that i haven't done anything about it, yet. curious what the solution would be though.
  8. if you were with-in 500 miles of me, i'd purchase it. this should sell quick. nice bike brother.
  9. very nice. i had a Q 535 that i got from butters but then re-sold before i ever got to run it, as close to the hrd540 as you can get without actually having a hrd540. makes me miss my zilla.
  10. appreciated. i may have it dyno'd there for my curiosity, and make sure it's tuned pretty good for august night run at dumont. i've never had it dyno'd with dyno tires before.
  11. the word is they will definitely have the hill lit up. they did last month as well. i wasn't there but my buddy was and he said it was actually pretty good.
  12. yeah that sucks bro. when i first built my cheetah in '05, my first trip to the dunes a plug came loose and the motor ran lean. i was able to run it the next dune trip, but the damage was done.. i had to have it bored, nikasil'd etc.. very costly (when they re-nikasil, the process takes the polish off the cylinders.) but after that i never had any issues, and i run the hell out of the motor. new pistons, reeds, and clutches in '07. i'm curious what my motor does on pure evil's dyno. did you have knobbies or dyno tires mounted?
  13. that's a nice graph brother, looks good.
  14. he had a dwarf car that he used to dune at dumont alot, it was hard to keep up with him on a dune ride.
  15. rofl he's a goofball definitely.. but he can ride! back in the day nobody can ride a three wheeler like he could.. and he's a nut too! a buddy of mine got in a buggy with him at amargosa, and he took that thing straight over the top of big dune at full throttle. steve can effin' ride. i'll give him that, but that's about it heh.
  16. i edited my last post, i don't wanna start nothin' so i'll stay civil but yeah, i agree with what you wrote. i was unaware he got a new dyno though, hopefully it's set up well. i took a banshee to tony once, can't remember what for. no complaints. back in those days skip was working on my quads and unless he was building a motor, he didn't wanna mess with little stuff. the guy who has built my last four quads is really on top of his stuff, i've never had anything blow up, or any mishaps.
  17. edit, heh. my 485 cheetah dm on gas reads 100 rwh with 20" knobbies on a land & sea dyno. i'm sure yours will post good numbers. i have shearer in-frames too.. i'm always having to replace the outerwares because they rub on the pipe. pain in the dick agreed. hope to see you at the dunes brother.
  18. i noticed one in the las vegas craigslist.. really clean. click
  19. i think i can help out with most of the "too many extras to name off".. works shocks, +2" camber/caster adjustable arms, fmf? exhaust, cool-head, baja wheels, klaw tires, dg bumper, pro-peg nerfs.. that's about all i can see. the swingarm might be extended 2", unless those are 18" rear tires. probably not a bad quad for $3k (west coast market, i dunno about kansas) but definitely not 85mph in 3rd gear heh! unless he has a boost bottle.. heh.
  20. "Too many extra after market to name off." that's a term you use when posting in a newspaper or similar classifieds that either have limited space available or you pay for the space or amount of words. craigslist is virtually limitless in word space and it's free. there are never too many extra's to list on craigslist. either they have less "extras" than they want you to believe they do, or they don't know what they really have because they purchased it that way. that particular banshee i assure you will not pull 85mph in 3rd gear.. it can be done however, 19t front sprocket + 32t rear sprocket + 22" rear tires @ 10,000rpm = 90mph 3rd gear top speed on a banshee, but you'd need ALOT of motor to pull that kind of gearing.
  21. it depends on bore size.. 65mm bore 58mm stroke = 385cc. 68mm bore 58mm stroke = 421cc. 72mm bore 58mm stroke = 472cc. i'm not sure if they make a different size bore in cub cylinders, i've only seen these three.
  22. i think so, i haven't seen anything official yet, i dunno.
  23. yeah i remember that, you got a good memory! you pulled the pink one by a couple+ bikes easy all the way up with your old motor.. good running bike. hers is a stock stroke, cylinder also. trinity pro-tt port, +4 advance, boyesen reeds, 18cc domes, 66.25 bore, nikasil cylinder (had it done a couple months before cubs came out, sonofabi...). it dyno'd 69rwh with stock carbs, 74.71rwh with 35's.. but it was faster on the hill with the stock carbs. i dunno why, i could never get it set-up right after putting the bigger carbs on. i left that broad, she got to keep that bike (i built for her), my 734r, and the rhino. kinda bummed but whatever, i got the 450's and my cheetah. hope to see you out there again brother, if i still got the blue shee, come around and shoot the shit.
  24. no, just a bunch of enthusiasts. i was gonna go when it was on the 13th, but the date changed and my mind did too, unless someone is seriously interested in seeing my "duner" that i have listed on here run the hill, than perhaps i'll go. i'll be at the official DDR night run in august.
