high octane junkie replied to high octane junkie's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
thanks brother. i read your signature, nice shee! i dunno what yours looks like though, did we run together and did i get mopped? heh. -
i run 23" fronts/22" rears on my desert racer, mostly for ground clearance. it's not a shee however.

agreed, the seat cover was a last minute thing, got it done at a local upholstery shop. it's a little slippery. -

Banshee vs ltr450
high octane junkie replied to BansheeRider87's topic in General Banshee Discussion
very well put, and i can see this being very genuine and authentic. the ltr450 is extremely corked up with stock exhaust. with a full yoshimura rs5 exhaust, the results you have stated will be flipped. also, your t6 exhaust is a better exhaust than the fmf exhaust on the other shee. -
Banshee vs ltr450
high octane junkie replied to BansheeRider87's topic in General Banshee Discussion
the ltr450 you listed probably has slightly more horsepower, but definitely more torque. lighter weight too. it's going to depend on the actual set-up.. a stock ltr450 is geared 14-36 with 18" rear tires. a stock banshee is geared 14-41 with 20" rear tires. using a gearing calculator, with these specifications the top speed is nearly the same, less than a 1 mph benefit for the banshee, but the suzuki would outpull the banshee in all gears, and the banshee would need to play "catch-up." roughly the ltr450 will win a short to medium distance drag race, and definitely low end by far. both vehicles starting a race side by side at top speed in a large open field will be extremely close. -
ha! cause you boys are stuck on the east coast.. fly out west sometime to peep a FSA race, and have some fun in our dunes too. =)~

the listed weight for the carbureted yfz450 is a DRY WEIGHT. the listed weight for the fuel injected yfz450r is WET WEIGHT. a wet carbureted yfz450 is over 400 lbs. also, the new fuel injected yfz450r utilizes a better head design, similar to the one that is on the raptor 700r, which is pretty much the new banshee of the future.

i have two barely used 06's, but the shipping would cost more than they're worth. on another note.. i have a used full trinity exhaust with i think a slightly bent mid-pipe (i had to put a 1/2 inch spacer between the canister clamp and the subframe) that collects dust in my garage. the canister has a dent on top where the clamp mounts. i wrecked the quad pretty bad, but after fixing everything i still ran the exhaust for over a year. $100 + shipping, i can provide pictures. the dent isn't noticeable while mounted.

the 400cc complete pv kit is roughly $3,000 + install labor, etc.
-
the kits are anywhere from $3,000 and up plus install labor etc. my 485 kit cost $4,000 plus carbs and boots, plus case machining, plus heavy duty clutches, plus labor and so on.. on ebay right now, someone is auctioning a brand new 496 cheetah pv complete kit minus crank, it'll probably sell for around half price or so.. it has ten hours left.

MX SHEE PART-OUT
high octane junkie replied to djackbanshee's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
long travel arms/shocks are usually close to the ball joints, but those are the closest i've ever seen. who built those arms? -
i'm headin' out wednesday evening through sunday. i'll have the baby blue shee, silver 734r, yellow ltr450, silver rhino, and maybe the baby pink shee.
