  1. Good suspension is a must. Stock shocks will beat you to death. Not sure how long those races are but I race in the msxc series occasionally and they are 1 1/2 hours and very tight woods courses. Don't want it too wide either.. I'm converting my 01 shee into a woods racer..anti-vibe stem, flexx bars, good front shocks, -1 swingarm and a good rear shock.
  2. I don't have a pic but I can tell you the warrior dog bone is longer. The wish bone part is the same...the part that goes from the frame to the dog bone and the rear shock bolts to it.
  3. Pro Circuits FTW!!!!
  4. Probably rich on the pilot. I'd go back to stock 25 pilot jets and see what happens...1.5 turns out.
  5. Unless you are gonna use the yfz a arms then I dont think there is any reason to run the yfz spindles. The rotors are the same from what I hear.
  6. Why do you think it's detonating?
  7. I've used Pro Taper grip glue, Gorilla super glue, and carb cleaner. Spray it on the bars and slide the grips into place...they don't come off.
  8. Hate it when I can't sleep

  9. It was very torquey. The power was there at all times..no clutching just give gas. Still revved out good too. Squish was set at .045" and ran on Renegade 112 octane. Uccr was 14.02:1. That was such an awesome woods bike...I kick myself sometimes for selling it but it was a lot of maintenance...changing crank bearings every year and well you guys know how much race gas is these days.
  10. I ran 240psi in my old 250r.
  11. I got one Friday. Thanks for the pm's guys.

    Stock Crank

I'm looking for a good used stock stroke crank. I bought a basketcase banshee and it needs one. Pm me if you have one cheap. Thanks.
  13. Make sure you got all the air out of the line.
  14. +2 a arms and a good set of shocks set up for your weight and riding style will definitely help. Go with 4+1 offset wheels to further help handling and reduce bump steer. A shorter swingarm will also help it turn which banshee's do not like to do. Anti-vibe steering stem and a steering stabilizer and Fasst Flexx bars will also help with fatigue and riding faster longer. I've been racing a 250r for the past few years but I'm getting ready to build a purpose built xc/gncc banshee because you never see them at harescrambles and xc races. Congrats on the 2nd place in points in your class.
  15. What exhaust you running now?
  16. If you've never done a gear swap on a Ford 9" rearend, I suggest not doing it. What a pain in the ass!!

  17. Blendzall at 32:1. Good stuff if you can find it.
  18. Oh it works ok. It'll lock the tires up but just takes more effort than what I'm used to with the 250r I had. I really gotta stand on it. Yfz front calipers are shit? Don't know about that...mine stop waaaaaayyyyy better than the banshee calipers. I'm also running stainless lines and a 450r master cylinder. Just needing a little better rear stopping power for the tight trails and woods I ride in.
  19. Is there a way to make the rear brakes better on these things? I know stainless line but is there a better master cylinder or caliper that'll work without modification? Just looking for more stopping power from the rear. Already running yfz calipers on the front and they work great. Thanks.
  20. I've owned two banshee's and the only pipes I have experience with are the Pro Circuits. I love 'em for trail riding and play riding. And they can make great power on a ported set-up as well. All depends on what you're trying to accomplish.
  21. Love my Pro Circuits for trail riding.
  22. They come stock on the 400ex not the 450r. They come with Dunlops.
  23. Maxxis Razr 2's or Maxxis Ballance Razrs.
  24. Yea I saw them too. I been holding off on suspension upgrades but I might have to try these out.
