  1. as some of you may know ive just recently bought a "new" banshee, apperently the guy who built this thing knew what he was doing and it has some pretty cool and expensive kit on it already, one one of which is paul turner barrels. ive trawled the tinterwebby and cant seem to find any info on these at all. does any one know anything about them, i pressume they would be ported as they are aftermarket barrels but to what extent, is there a standard to them or a they "tuned" to the bike for a specific purpose. thanks in advanced oh ye banshee gods
  2. good stuff thanks guys. is it quite a noticable difference then?
  3. aw now thats just a shame coz ive just finished making this
  4. a dozen it is then
  5. just being looking on "your ebay" (.com) and came across these clicky has anyone heard of them? any good?
  6. WOW !!!!!!!!!!!! i had no idea thet they were thast good. ive just ordered another 10
  7. sounds like a bad coil mate. ive had a few bikes road and motox and when the coils start to fail they do it when their warm
  8. lol NICE !!
  9. seen them kicking about on ebay and thought of getting one for the last shee but my new shee had a twist throttle on when i got it and i hated it. not enough control when the arms start to pump, went straight back to thumb............would score some points for b eing trick tho
  10. OK THEN GUYS IM SEEING CONFLICTING STUFF ON THESE BAD BOYS....i have one (i came with the shee) are they any good or just SHIT. 90% of my riding is MX the other 10% is recovering from it. so feel free to express your opinions im completely neutral on this one
  11. thats sounds like a nice easy install. BUT ive got to ask.............wouldnt it be easier/cheaper just to install a +4 degree key?
  12. yeah now ya mention it i remembered on my last set of v3's i had one of the reeds distroy itself at high rpm. might be worth going with the boyensen reeds and ported cages
  13. not sure if this has been mentioned BUT ive just fitted an 07 raptor rear shock to my shee with no mods at all. only thing is its slightly longer than the shee item so has to be compressed a little 1st, makes it sit nice and high at the back, also if your thinking of lowering the 98-02 yammy R1 shock bolts straight on but air box needs to be slighly modified to accommodate the piggy back bottle
  14. excellent stuff guys thanks alot for all your info its greatly appreciated. any opinions on aftermarket reeds???
  15. thanks deckheight. so let me just get this straight in my head, the higher the compression then the higher the octane has to be until you reach the point where compression is so high pump fuel no longer has enough octane and has to be replaced with even higher octane race fuel? wow that paragraph had some serious octane in it. so could any1 point in the right direction of what domes to use? we do have super unleaded fuels here which are around 98 ron
  16. thanks for the info guys, my elevation is 196m or 648ft and im using normal pump fuel. like is said its pretty strong at the minute but as we all know theres always more horses to be squeezed out lol. im definitely gonna advance the timing by 4 degrees. just got to figure out which cool heads to buy now. oh yeah while im here any suggestions on reeds? think mine are stock at the minute, ran siome V3's on my last shee and was VERY impessed.
  17. hello all. ive just recently bought myself another shee after a bit if a break from off roading. my "new" one is an 03 which has been race tuned with a few decent mods. full FMF gold series, pual turner barrles (jugs) and pistons, flat slide kiehn carbs and the usual A arm and axel mods. im considering buying some cool heads but to be honest havent got a clue where to start. do they increase power or are they just to just assist cooling? what size domes would i use? re-jet? im from the uk so keeping my shee cool isnt really a problem as its usually freezing here and summer is usually on a wednesday in august. any tips would be appreciated cheers all jimbob
