A Good Clutch Kit Nowadays?
ATVridinMaNiAc replied to ATVridinMaNiAc's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Yea man i google like crazy hah, works better then the BHQ search it seems but if i cant find anything at least pretty recent i feel uncomfortable relying on that, the info i found on clutches was like 2 years old...but ill probably go the tusk route then, i used to use EBC but man idno it seems like there not as good as they used to be. -
Ull get slapped with some mud here and there but its not too bad. Main reason for it was actually not for the look, it was so you had less drag at high speeds which actually makes more of a difference then you would think. It would also cut down your weight quite a bit on the track, all that mud that gets clunked up under those fenders adds alot of weight, lastly it allows you to see your front tires and some of your front suspension which will let you see how your tires are cleaning out and to navigate tight trails a little better and keep a better eye on things.

I searched a little and cant find anything recent. I need a new clutch kit for the banshee i found that the Driveline kit and Tusk /w HD springs was a good choice specially for the money, just curious if these are still good kits or not, i know times change just wanna make sure. Im seeing these two i guess are what people use? http://www.ebay.com/itm/YAMAHA-BANSHEE-DUNE-TRAIL-RIDING-HEAVY-DUTY-CLUTCH-KIT-/290698183961?hash=item43aef64519&item=290698183961&pt=Motors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr and http://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/p/43/53/210/895/1442/3012/Tusk-Clutch-Kit-With-Heavy-Duty-Springs If that tusk kit is actually a good kit then hell ill go with them, you cant beat that price and my bike is probably only a 40ish hp bike or so i would assume, i always thought tusk clutches sucked but maybe its different now, thanks for any help.

Best Method Of Removing Dent From Headpipe?
ATVridinMaNiAc replied to ATVridinMaNiAc's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
Alright...that would be a bitch to get it inside, idno il figure something out, i cant find any info on this in a search, not a writeup or video or anything, thanks. -
Right on i see he has some nice stuff for good prices no kicker though, i think i might just put it up in the wanted section here soon to see if somebody has a decent one laying around, either that or just buy off somebody on ebay other then that motor city guy, cheapest i can find on ebay is like 50-60 shipped and thats a well used one, thanks...the billet ones just seem like there mostly for show and would be uncomfortable to use.

Can anybody else attest to this Motor City guy on ebay? he has alot of decent deals on kickers and im really not trying to pay 100 bucks on a new kicker...mine is beyond fubar, missing parts and it finally completely broke after 3 re welds to it. Id like to buy from this dude as long as the kicker is decent ill be good, i can just rebuild it a little or something, thanks.

Best Method Of Removing Dent From Headpipe?

Looks like you went a little crazy with the butter lol, but do i coat the entire dent and all around it or do i just coat all the area around the dent and leave the dent untouched by the butter just to make sure? Lol this kinda sounds like a joke. -
Best Method Of Removing Dent From Headpipe?

Hmm yea it helps some i might go the heating route, id rather not risk cracking the pipe putting it in the freezer, and its kinda hard to monitor it while its in there... -
Best Method Of Removing Dent From Headpipe?
ATVridinMaNiAc posted a topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
Alright so ive searched around a little bit and im curious to which method is best for dent repair on a head pipe, its the right tr-6 headpipe, its not too bad but i want it fixed id feel more comfortable knowing its fixed and not throwing some tuning off or something,i see theres the plug both ends somehow then apply anywhere from 25-50 PSI into the pipe then heat the dented area? The other way ive seen is fill it up with water plug both ends then put it in a freezer overnight or something, the freezer trick from what i heard can sometimes split a pipe at the seam? Im unsure on either i would like to hear personal experiences i know both seem a little dangerous, the freezer trick seems easier and safer but if it risks messing up a pipe thats not cool. The applying psi and heating the dent idea seems dangerous and tedious, if anybody has experience on the best way to plug the ends would be great also and i would probably have it safety wired and sitting in an area that was safe if a cap were to pop off, wedged between two hay bales popped in my head, haha but any input would be great thanks. P.S. yea i know i gotta shave the stock mounts off still. -
Chariot Performance Integrity

Yea that sounds like horse shit on his side. -
My kicker is beyond trash, ive had to weld on it before and it just breaks, its missing the inner workings and the insides of the kicker are wallowed out its just a mess, was curious where i should get a good kicker from, i see the blillet ones look good but im unsure of how sturdy they are and they dont come with the bottom portion of the kicker. As of right now this seems like a good option http://www.ebay.com/itm/REBUILT-Yamaha-Banshee-kickstarter-kicker-NEW-TIGHT-no-rattles-/290710108032?pt=Motors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&hash=item43afac3780&vxp=mtr if anybody has any input it would be nice, maybe a better aftermarket or if somebody here rebuilds them? thanks.

Pick up a manual and get some yamabond or decent gasket sealer.

My banshee has the bottom springs for each pipe missing, i ordered them there on their way but i was curious how much would that effect only having top springs? I always wondered the actual real function of them and how it all works too. I also cant find a place where the left pipe spring attaches too, i found the one for the right its like on the motor mount, i look at the same place on the left side and it doesnt have a little tab for it, thanks.

Yo yo dawg i be chasin mad tail yo, they be likin my pics and i like theres back nah mean.

Me and my dad are wanting to paint the frame and a few parts with some thick tractor paint using a gun, that paint is so nice and thick, if it holds up like it does on the tractors he paints it will do awesome on the banshee, hell usually he doesnt even prep and the shit still stays on forever. So i figure if i take the time to prep stuff good and spray it with a gun then id expect it to work pretty well.

Good stuff, ive been around atvs and bikes my entire life but just recently got a banshee and hope to do business with them here soon, i hear nothing but good stuff about them, i plan on buying alot of there products for when i do a rebuild.
