Oh wow cool, it looked nice but id never guess they were a quality radiator, i wonder how much they used to cost? and yea the mount is kind of weird i hadnt looked at it too good but it seems spaced out to much i know the radiator grill cover doesnt fit worth a damn because of it. -

Couple Questions From A New Banshee Owner
ATVridinMaNiAc replied to ATVridinMaNiAc's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Shit i forgot to ask im running yamalube 32:1 right now but im gonna go get some Caster 927, for my elevation (300-500) and mods is 32:1 sound about right or should it be 40:1 or something? i mean it loads up and smokes quite a bit but the carbs are also still pooped, thanks. -
Couple Questions From A New Banshee Owner
ATVridinMaNiAc replied to ATVridinMaNiAc's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Yea im definitely going to be getting into it with comp check and such i havent taken the carbs apart yet i still need to gather a few things before i do, my elevation is about 300-500 Ft, and ill look into the dent ill run that by my dad since he is very good with metal work, and i ride XC terrain so i cant do pods i like having the box to keep water and mud from splashing upward and that filter is a good Twinair but its just small, so i guess it would be better off with one big K&N with outerwear? And i figured the srpings were missing i didnt really look at where there supposed to attach either and knowing my luck i have to order them from toomey or some shit so there the correct tension? Im all the way out east but thanks for your help haha after i put the pics up i said holy shit those pics are clear its just from a 2 year old motorola android phone. -
A Good Chain and Sprocket Kit?
ATVridinMaNiAc replied to ATVridinMaNiAc's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Ok thanks yea i might get the gold one not sure yet, they seem to look pretty cool ive never used a gold chain on anything that i can remember, -
Yea so i just got a banshee and have a few questions the carbs are still of whack i need to get a carb sync and jet kit but as of now it starts really easy, wont idle, smokes a good bit and wont clear up unless your running around full throttle, full throttle runs decent though, also harder to start with airbox lid off but it smokes less when its off, Still have no idea what is going on internal, ill get to that soon...i think it has an L.A. sleeve in it going by the stickers and maybe wiseco pistons, all the other stickers on the bike i can literally find that part so but no idea if, ported, milled head, bore size, if stroked, if it has stock reeds yet. Ok first one is this boyessen reeds or something going on here? not sure if you can tell by looking at it like this Has anyone heard of this company and i assume it means it was rebuilt? hell i dont even know if its factory Toomey tr-6 pipes should there be springs on those bottom tabs? Wtf is this about? TORS? What brand TORS removal kit is that? Mod quad or Moose? No idea This a decent airbox setup or is this not enough for it to inhale? And will this dent on the bottom on the head pipe cause any real problem? Sorry for so many questions this is my first banshee i just want to get some things clear but damn so fun its great and it doesnt even run right and i still love it, thanks guys

A Good Chain and Sprocket Kit?
ATVridinMaNiAc replied to ATVridinMaNiAc's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Yea wasnt sure if anybody had experience with the ebay ones, ill most likely get this http://www.ebay.com/itm/RK-Chain-and-JT-Sprocket-Kit-Yamaha-Banshee-350-/270992199258?hash=item3f1864ce5a&item=270992199258&pt=Motors_ATV_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr or the primary drive kit, maybe try an x ring since i never have, im not super concerned with getting a colored chain but i just though it would be kinda cool if it wasnt a headache to find a decent one thats all. -
Ok i know i dont have pics but ill get them if i need to soon as i can but my banshee has the full Tors eliminator kit that has steel braided throttle cable the entire length and it comes with the carb caps, unlike Motion pro and Vitos which i thought were the only brands my carb caps are like a dark gray and the have what looks like an M on top of them, at first i thought Moose but ill be damned i cant find any info on this, nothing shows up when i search around, thanks.

I need a decent little chain and sprockets setup, i see RK has a nice little deal on ebay with JT sprockets but i was wondering if anybody else knows of a good place and or brand? it was like 100 bucks on ebay, id like to get the annodized blue like this http://www.ebay.com/itm/120953918384?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649 but it doesnt even have a name to it? another place to get a chain sprocket combo that comes annodized? if not no biggie id probably get the RK since there real nice, thanks.

Alright thanks everyone for the help i ended up getting the 03 and it definitely didnt end up being as nice as i thought and it ran like pure butthole and needed a good bit of shit done but it does have a decent amount of mods done to it that i like haha it at one point in time was painted by somebody and it looks horrid, some of it looks like plastidip but the things carbs were so damn outta whack it was nuts, that and the plug was pooped on one side it hardly ran the left side, pipe was cold as hell but after playing with the carbs slides and stuff putting plugs in it ,doesnt seem to bad now for just roughing it in i need a carb sync tool thats for sure. because of it being worse then i thought i talked him into giving me 200 bucks also which made me barely feel good enough to just say...fuck it idc bye bye predator,i know almost for a fact the 2000 banshee would have been in alot better shape but i didnt wanna drive 3 hours back with that damn predator for no reason so i dont wanna dwell on the fact i could of had a better banshee ill end up getting pissed but at least the banshee is worth putting time and money into even if its in worse shape...my dads in love with it also, he actually has a huge interest in it unlike with 4 strokes ive had since he was a vintage dirtbike guy in the day and raced a cr480 but me and him tinkered with it for literally like 5 hours straight, it seems like it might need a top end soon not sure im just hoping like hell the crank is ok and ill be happy otherwise FML, if going by the stickers on the bike it might have Wiseco pistons and a LA sleeve...all the other stickers i can literally see the part that corresponds to the stickers but i dont know about those two...kinda has me concerned, anyways sorry for the novel ill be doing nick nack shit to it and seeing whats up with it, thanks again

What's the best gear oil and why
ATVridinMaNiAc replied to Crbanshee1279's topic in General Banshee Discussion
This stuff right here! hit the nail right on the head that oil is the shit specially for the price, that oil is very good for a transmission with the high levels of zinc and other shit in it, i run that in my warrior, ranger and sometimes my jeep, awesome stuff. -
Yea its got crazy amounts of power thats one thing people dont realize is how fast they are if they run right, i have 2 friends with piped, jetted, filter, and cammed yfz and 450r and i actually stay with them, surprised the hell outta me but i do like the feeling of it and it making power everywhere i havent had any problems with it but im afraid it might be a ticking time bomb but who knows... the 05-07 were definitely the best years also specially it being a TLD with all the goodies and the fox podiums which are like 2k in suspension, steel braided brake lines, tether switch, nice nerfs and grab bar they came with some nice stuff but i just want a banshee i know how they feel, i own a warrior and there an identical feel, it might take a little getting used to and tweaking to get it setup for woods riding but ill make it happen, i wont feel bad about putting time and money into a banshee and there alot cheaper also, which is another reason i wanted to get rid of this just too pricey and no tunability really, ive talked to alot of people who owned them and alot say there mostly reliable but its no argument there pricey...im definitely going to have one of these banshees even if they have some quirky bs with them ill probably still be happy overall.

Yea im going for the 03 tomorrow we'll see what happends ill keep you guys posted, the 00 looks slightly better i think but hard to tell, yea i was a little weirded out by 70 over like who the hell bores 70 over? its usually 60 or 80 and either way thats getting awful close to needing re sleeved which kinda sucks but not so much of a problem ,they both admitted they dont know shit about banshees.

Lol i hope your joking nah he has a little area to ride so ill just go with that good thing my toy hauler is a danger ranger and gets pretty good fuel mileage. if it ends up being a pos ill try the next one, he says it runs great just bogs sometimes, then the 2000 banshee doesnt idle but runs good and the guy is clueless about how to work on them.
