i am in the process of rebuilding my bike and i am thinking about adding a cool head and an adjustable timing plate(all i have now is pipes filter jets and boyesen reeds) will advancing the timing and the head make a noticable difference and if it will what size domes should i use? i have fmf gnarly pipes with powercore 2 silenceers and im at sea level

you could have just taken the hose off the gastank or opened the drainscrews on the carbs or both :wallbash:

i've been looking at clutches and i can get a ebc kevlar clutch for a good price. did anyone ever run one of theese? If you did what did you like/dislike about it?

ok i started my bike up the other day and took it for a short drive. All of a sudden my clutch got right stiff like something was holding it back. It would pull in half way and then it feels like it hits something and if i pull real hard it will pop past whatever is blocking it. It still drives and it seemed like my clutch was working too good and my tires would break loose shifting into 4th on dry pavement. I thought it might be my cable so i replaced that and it didn't help. And i also noticed that the lever coming out of the motor where the cable attaches was bent upwards and hitting the carb so i bent that down but that too didn't help. So my question is what is wrong with my clutch? i was just going to order a clutch and rip it apart but i figured i shoul come on here and ask you guys first

i tried wireing a taillight up to my bike yesterday it wasn't a banshee light but it had 2 bulbs so i put the ground to both and i had 2 wires left so i put one to each. my tailight worked and my brakelight worked the only problem is whenever the tailight or brakelight is on the headlights don"t work. did anyone ever see this happen before. Do i need a banshee tailight or is my wireing mesed up?

i have rebuilt many 4strokes in my day and i have never seen the mark on the side case say that it is on tdc but the piston is at the bottom the onley thing i could think of is that the stator was on 180* off or the keyway lock wasn't in but he checked it and said it was fine

yeah thats what i said atleast its a yamaha tho

my buddie has a 2001 raptor he got for cheap not running and we tried to time it up but when we put it at tdc on the side of the motor the piston is at the bottom . is that right? and we timed it up with the mark on tdc and it is blowing gas out thee carbs into the airbox and we checked the magneto and it is on the keyway so how is the piston on the bottom at tdc? any help would be greatly appreiciated

me and my buddy both have 2003 banshees he has been driving his since 2003 and never rebuilt it yet and i just put a crank and new cylinders and pistons and rings about 40 hrs of driving ago. we both did a compression test at the same time and his said 21psi on 1 sid and 20psi on the other mine read 18psi on both. we both have all stock engines with just fmf pipes, jetted, k&n, and reeds. shouldn't i have more compression where i just rebuilt mine?

do the yfz shocks hurt you banshees ball joints?
cheeta replied to banshee#44's topic in Product Reviews
http://www.bansheehq.com/forums/index.php?...103029&st=0 i already know what happens when you put 450 shocks on a banshee. your balljoints explode when you hit 6th gear and your bike throws you at a street sign because you where so stupid -
yeah i was wearing my helmet and it probly saved my life because the visor was smashed and the helmate was scratchedc to shit
