i have no idea on the pilots i am goin to tear apart the carbs today and clean them and look at them but when i bought the quad the guy said it ran great then just died and the coolant looks to be leaking from the water pump like that tube that is bent a little bit i dont think it is sealing right i am goin to double check that too but when it does run it smokes alot is that normal? sorry im new to the banshee i am used to dirtbikes

ok i got my banshee running last nite but we have a few problems that i cant figure out. 1 of them is it will only start if i spray starting fluid in it almost like im not getting gas but i checked my fuel lines and they are unplugged and the petcock is open cuz when i yanked off the gas line gas spilled everywhere . and the other is when i finally do get it running it leaks coolnt really bad all my hoses are on correctly and tight if anyone could help with these problems that would be great thanks much, brian

it cold also be the spring that goes on the kick start shaft this happened to me and thats how i fixed it

you should try to unhook the TORS system it is right next to the coil on the left i had no spark and i unhooked that today and bam i got spark now

i noticed while reading your TORS removal wich is good by the way. but did you buy new carb. caps or just cut all the wires and leave the TORS on just not hooked up

ok i just unhooked the TORS system and what do you know i have spark its a little weak but i got spark now my next step is to pull and clean the flywheel really good and gap everything correctly again thanks for all the help as soon as i get some more money the TORS are outta here those things suck!!!! ohh got another question all my hoses are hooked up and tight but everytime i kick it over i am loosing coolant from somewhere i checked the water pump its all good again any help would be awesome thanks again

i would get rid of the tors but im layed off and unemployment has not kicked in yet i already choped and spliced the key does anyone know the what the gap should be for the flywheel? and i has a stock stator i will try to unhook the tors today see if that helps and the parking brake is gone well the cable is the bracket is still on this is all good help thank you guys so much if you know anymore things to try let me know i will keep you posted on the progress again thanks much i just want to get this thing runnin so i have 2 quads to ride instead of 1 quad and a dirtbike. dirtbike gets old after a while

ok so i got the new coil traced all the wires all connected and hooked up right checked the gap on the flywheel cleaned it all up too was a little dirty i heard somewhere that if you have no spark to kick it over once or twice with the throttle wide open to reset the tors or something like that or would it just work if i unpluged them? i am really starting to hate the banshee it has been nothin but trouble and a pain in my ass ever since i bought it. i get spark every once in a while and it is super weak again any help would be good i am running out of this to try i have tried everything once again any help would be nice thanks much

does it really do anything? like add more power or are they just something people want to get rid of?

i looked all over and i cant find it so i want to know why people take the tors off there carbs?? what do they do and how do you take them off i see it all the time but i cant figure out what they do any help on this subject would be nice thanks

well i dont know i dont have the plugs in when i kick it to see if i have spark but everytime i do and i get pissed and put it back cuz i don have spark there will be a puddle of coolant so i dont know i am more worried about the spark at this point in time and once i get spark i will look at the coolant problem

ok i have a 93 banshee needed a new coil and the guys said it would run. bought a new one and nothin i have checked all the wireing and it is all hooked up and i am also leaking coolant like crazy everytime i kick it over to see if i got spark i dont know what the problem could be any help would be nice

Ok I will check that tommorow stupid question Is a banshee like a car if you get the plug wires switched it will run like shit? Maybe that is my problem ha I will hate myself if I fucked up the wires and put them on wrong. Oh by the don't forget to vote tommorow VOTE OBAMA!!!!

Got new plugs probly should have said that too and the guy at the bike shop gapped them to specs and I still have nothin what is the gap on the stator supposed to be that might be my problem again thanks for all the help

i do that but i pull the plugs and place them on the engine bolts and kick it i will get spark sometimes like if i kick it 10 times i get spark maybe 3 times and it is very weak i think i need a new coil plus yesturday i made my lil bro hold the plug and i kicked it and he said nothin the worst he got was like nothin worse then a static shock and i got shocked by a good coil and it hurts like hell haha and i have an ignition for it but no key how do i eleminate the key? i think that could be my problem i called the dude i bought it from and he said it ran fine without a key but who knows again any help would be good

Got my banshee back together and guess what no spark ha go figure I don't know if it is the coil how do I check it? And I feel like an idiot what are tors connectors and what do they do and why do people remove them? If removed what does it do? Any help with both things would be great

I don't trail ride I ride in the country so like fields and stuff I have trails in our woods but I don't go in there very much

I am lookin into gettin new pipes for my banshee but I don't want to spend 700 pocket is alittle tight right now just want to know the best bang for my buck I guess and what size jets and stuff should I run I'm runnin without an airbox got 1 filter per carb. I think I have stock jetting now any help would be good I don't want to rebuild my motor again I bought it broke the guy before me didn't tighten the clutch adjustment screw nut and it came loose and boogered up the clutch gear and shattered the water pump gear and took a chunk outta the primary drive gear

If you do get one of those rubber do-jobs keep an eye on it I had one in my oil fill hole and somehow when I was ridin it came out yeah I guess clutches and engines don't like dirt haha anyway they are not bad just keep an eyes on it especialy if it is your oil drain plug you could always get a heli-coil I think that is what they are called like threads you screw in those work really good

Ok stupid question how do you sync up the carbs? I'm new to the banshee and do you still keep the thing for overflow in the cylinder head and just zip tie it to the frame

Ok my right carb ia opening a little more then my left one is that normal? And there is like a little bottle that says coolent on it under my seat is that like a catch tank for overflow and can I take it out with no side effects?

I am lookin for 2 gears 1 is the primary drive gear if that is what you call it it is the gear that goes on the crank shaft that is ran by the clutch and the other gear is the water pump impeller gear that junk plastic one haha if anyone knows where I can find these parts that would be awesome these are the only parts I need then my rebuild will be done and I can finally ride ha thanks for the time
