  1. i have a 1980 yamaha ss 440 for sale all it needs is a coil.the wind shiled is missing due to a roll over sled runs great and has alot of power for a 440 i am selling it for 275 bucks
  2. what about a jig saw??? with like a small tooth metal blade or something.. and put the speed setting on really slow so you dont just chunk and chip it away. or like a hack saw? again these are just some ideas...
  3. yeah its all good. i will have to take it apart tomorrow so see if i might have put it in wrong. If i did would it still start? i didnt think it would who know's i get this thing running and it throws me another problem. i will look at it tomorrow and make sure i have it in right,i have been known to put thing together wrong before. damn this ADHD.... i will get back on here and update on the situation.
  4. Ok sorry about that. sometimes i get on a typeing roll. ok here we go.... i went to go work on my banshee today to get my carbs set right. And as i was kicking the kicker would just go right down it still sprung back but it was like it was missing the gear or somehing. So i took the cover off and looked at the gear and it is fine, as it should be cuz it is brand new. i dont know much more to say but when it misses all i do is let it spring back and it will work again, so i cant kick it over fast i have to make sure it grabs or i will just slam it down to the foot peg
  5. ok i was on my high horse with this thing running well now my kick start misses sometimes i looked and everything is hooked up right. man it is a never ending project

  7. how will they get me killed?? and like i said i just got the bike and i finally got it running i still have not rode it yet once i get it all dialed in i am goin to get new rims and probly some maxxis razors or some holeshots on black beadlock rims. i have alot of plans once i get it running right, my next step is brand new carbs without tors i already cut all the tors shit out so all i have is the box on top of the carbs. i still need a clutch cable. but being layed off money is slow so ia m just tinkering with it for now

  9. for a full set (front and back) cuz right now i have grey and i dont like them. they are race cut and i just want new a color so i can get some skin industries graphics and cut my own fenders.

  11. ok i am trying to put up pics but it wont let me.. the pic started out about 4 inches by 4 inches and now it is down to about 1 1-2 inch by 1 1-2 inch and it still wont let me post it. what is goin on

  14. Well my fiance bought me a banshee for my b-day at well let's just say it was rough. The motor did'nt turn over,bunch of water in the engine, and alot of other things wrong with it. Well after i bought a new clutch, primary drive gear and impeller gear and a bunch of other bullshit here and there, it finally runs!! i think i replaced everything but the pistons. have not got to ride it yet i need a new clutch cable the old one is stretched soo bad. just thought i would let you guys know how much your info really helped me soo a big THANKYOU to the guy that helped me out. i plan on putting pics up soon so you guys can see how far it came THANKYOU brian
  15. another way to see if it is flowing is to start it when it is cold and take the cap off the coolant should be moving. well you will know if it is flowing when you take the cap off.

  18. my old teacher is a motorcycle mechanic (2-stroke specalist) he said it will help with bog and throttle response. cuz when you are goin and you punch it the bog comes from too much gas and not enough air so the boost bottle makes up for that lack of air. i think they are a load of shit. i am not planning on getting one i just wanted to know why people live by them and people hate them.
  19. ok i have heard alot of good and bad about these. so can someone please tell me what it does, is it there so there will be no bog when you punch the gas? cuz i have one on my r/c buggy and it helps with throttle response. just clear some shit up i dont think i am goin to get one i just want to know what they do.(no dumb questions like they are junk and all that)
  20. ok i had them in right then i figured i did. If i swap the plug wires the bike wont fire will it? just like in a car, but i will try it today i think my plug might be bad cuz when i first started ithad spark and fire on both sides,then all of a sudden nothin on the left.
  21. ok go with candy red and carbon fiber my photo shop messed up but i did both and the carbon fiber and candy red frame looked kool

  23. yeah i know dude im not to stoked on the TORS either.. and as for the slides the noth in the slide goes towards the back of the carb. that is how i had them and i only got fire sometimes on the left side
  24. ok can someone pu up a pic of the right way the lides go into the carbs. i want to know what the TORS look like when they are in the right way
  25. so just take and switch my slides see if that helps? i am goin to work on it in about an hour so i will try all these things you guys told me. and get back on and give you guys further info on it. thanks for all the help this puts me one step closer. I bought the bike with a bunch of shit wrong with it. It was so bad that when i took the head off there was water all over in the engine i had to tear it apart a replace a bunch of shit, now i finally got it running all i really need is a clutch cable. But i am layed off so money is really tight.
