I have a 2000 Yamaha Banshee for sale. It has an all stock engine besides the porting and reeds. The cylinders have MX porting by Patriot Racing. The cases were also port matched to the cylinders. It also has stock reed cages with V-force petals. The motor is VERY snappy and has excellent midrange too. The motor would be a good candidate for a bigger H.P. build. It runs perfect, smooth and quiet. Starts on the first kick and idles great. The clutch works great with no problems. It was adult owned and the oil was changed often. It is ran with synthetic mix at 40:1 and 330 main jets. Air cleaner is a single K&N with outerwear and no air box. Chrome Toomey T-5's, twist throttle, renthal bars, +5 chrome swing arm (have stock swing arm too), chrome +2 +1 Lonestar A-arms, 21-7.00-10 front smoothies on Douglass wheels, rear Skat Trak 8 paddles on ITP wheels, DG nerf bars, have extra motor that has a bad rod bearing but tranny and cases are in great shape. Extra set of V-force 3 reeds with cages. Spare stator, Clutch on spare motor has only a couple of rides. FMF Fatty pipes, Have pink in hand. Green sticker is current. $3,700 O.B.O. Price is definitely negotiable. Local buyer only. Don't really want to sell it but SH!T HAPPENS and it did! I just purchased the motor for Ban99shee. The motor is everything he said it was. You said it comes with stock carbs. Are these the carbs that were on it?

Still have the motor? What pipes did you have on it?

I want to put some billet headlights on my shee but Im not sure if they will work with the stock stator. These lights are 50 w halogens. The price is right and I can machine the mounts. Any help would be great. Thanks, Newbie.

I HAVE AN 03 BANSHEE THAT HAS ALL STOCK GUTS. WAS RIDING IT AND TRIED TO SHIFT DOWN TO CLIMB A HILL AND IT WOULD NOT SHIFT DOWN. I CAN MOVE THE SHIFTER UP AND THEN DOWN. IT WILL NOT CHANGE GEARS. IT ACTS LIKE IT WILL ONLY SHIFT BETWEEN 3RD AND 4TH GEAR BUT STAYS IN THE SAME GEAR. I AM SURE THIS SOUNDS CONFUSING BUT I DONT REALLY KNOW ANY OTHER WAY TO EXPLAIN IT.ANY IDEAS? IS THIS A COMMON PROB. WITH BANSHEES? ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT. THANKS, NEWBIE!
