  1. im looking for some Douglas or itp rear rims in a 10inch preferably 10x10 but a 10x8 would work if the price is right...... aluminum or metal would work. matt
  2. yea the smaller in height the better for me......my frame is built rather tall and with 18inch tall fronts it still sets nearly 5 1/2 inches off the ground. i like for my pitch to be lower in the front instead of level....i cant change my frame hieght brcuase my 1 piece frame and swingarm...im running pro wedge 1's on the back and aired up there nearly 24inches and the fronts are 21 inch mohawks...now that im running 20's on the back i want 18's or 17's for the asphalt.. the catch is i currently have 10x5 front rims and i dont care to have a lil rim sticking out on each side i just dont want the tire all stretched outta shape to fit it.. i was told that 4-5 inch scooter tires are significantly heavier and pricier ....if i can get a set for around 75-100 bux that would rolly be alright.... i would prolly run 18 smoothies but there way to pricey..... matt
  3. guys im desperate for the size of these scooter tires that would come out the same as the 18x4x10 fronts like wicked sells.... i found some 130x40x10's but i dont really know if thats the size i want... can anyone help me out please????????????? matt
  4. are you guys running the old pump or the newer nitrous pumps??? i have the old 1 that looks like a a skiny pop can kinda...lol the old dude at n/x told me that they have a new style pump that while not being use cycles itself to keep from burning up..... if i dont run gas through mine after a weekend of racing the next time i turn it on it pisses out orange looking rust stuff...so thats why i think it needs replaced...... im also spraying behind the carbs and thats not working as good as i figured....... so im re doing my shit.......
  5. i am currently spraying alky on alky.....it works but not that great,,, alky is cold and nos is cold and it makes for just a cold wet motor like kubitza said you will have to change the plunger in the fuel selaniod and the fuel pump wont last long plus you will have to purge the pump.... also you will prolly need more jets..alky jetting is 4 point dpread instead of gasoline were its a 2 point gap in the next month or so i will be changing my kit over to gas on alky...it will heat up the charge and make a lil more torque in some cases plus when done racing and purge time comes you just turn your alky tank off and turn you nos bottle off and leave your nitrous kit on and run your bike on the gasoline from the nos kit by shooting it through the nozzles...and that purges your hole motor,,kit and all with out switching hoses or anything....... either way you choose once you get your bike dialed in you will love it........... matt

  7. i would say a good stout stock stroke cub could take it 300ft......... if its on alky then a 421 on gas could take it ...my opinion i owned some big built handa 500's at 1 time or another that's what im goin off of............. matt
  8. 4 snows are a lil heavy my opinion........ i run prowedge 1's and 2's and im running in the high 3's on a track that is clay kinda river dirt... after the 175ft mark the tracvk kinda looks shinny....lol if i was you i would go pro wedge 2's but get the 8 inch rim 1's becuase the 9 inch rim wedges are thinner and give easy......

    drag fronts

    im looking for some skinny fronts.....18x4's or the 130/70 scooter tires,,,but i would prefer a set of smooth buffs......... asphalt tread would work also new,, used,, don't matter if they even hold air...i dont mind putting a tube or patching 1 thanx matt
  10. so your saying that its lean and thats why the o ring broke...or im just lean period?????? the head nuts on that side was near finger loose....at first i thought it could have been were the oring was gone it made space for the nuts to loosen....then while re torquing 3 outta 5 nuts wouldnt tighten down at all... put new normal style nuts on and it torqued down great..ill do a comp test agin in the mourning and see if im all good..... matt
  11. it was the brown dome o ring on the left side..... found out that the cheap acorn nuts had all stripped on that side so im guessing that blew the o ring..wouldn't you guys think???? my plugs was dry but in good color....i noticed my bike wasnt smoking that great off line so i might have been a tad lean...im turning the powerjets up next sat maybe the track will be a lil beter ,everyone said it was around 2 tenths slower sooo i should be in the 4.0's atleast if my 1st run was a 4.20 with no tune.... matt
  12. got to run my bike tonight for the 1st time this season..... track wasn't to good,,it was real dry ran 4.20@74mph w/60ft 1.52 on motor about mid track my left leg gets drenched in warm water........ i take it back to the pits and fill it with water agin and start it up to look for leaks and my overflow tube at the radiator cap is blowing water like a pressure system.... is this a oring blown and do you guys think it was my 190 conp that done this ??? i ran my timing at +7 and my plugs was dry..clean but dry...could i have been detonating maybe??? how could i have heated the oring enuff to blow on methanol?? i need to get to the bottom of this before i spray the bike........ matt
  13. well i have yet to check the real squish just got it together.....but jim engraved the 18.5cc and then it says .035 beside it..does that mean squish you think???? does anyone have any clue yet what the failing point is on cranks and rods in terms of compression????

  16. id like to trade my 421 cub motor for a sea doo 780/800 or 670 the motor is currently on a drag bike but it has a dunable cut trans nuetral down 1-5,, so switched to gas it could be a dune motor..has 38/40 lectrons on alky or gas ported,chrome cpi oof's, $2500-3000 worth of motor carbs and pipes ill trade everything for a 780/800/670 or anything close with carbs and pipes and wiring.... any offers will be considered.....i just want to swap over to automatic ,,,triple preferably but a big twinn cyl would work as well.... matt
  17. jim at passion cut the domes and set it up with that squish and compression,,,,i told him im running nitrous and he seemed to be okay with it ,,,it seeems like a lil much to me with that high of compression,,,,the squish i can work with cuase im just running 300ft and it wont be winding out the gears like it would on the 1/8 or 1/4.... jim cut my domes at 18.5 cc and i cant run timing that high on nos...they say the rule of thumb is for every 10 hp shot... retard the timing 1.5...so im gonna dial the bike in on motor at around +7 or +8 im figuring....then when i spray it ill retard it down to around +3 or +4 for a 30hp shot.... i just dont know about dumping all that NOS on a already 190lbs.......if it does work it should have plenty of bottom end
  18. im gonna try this again since no 1 could come up with anything on the mods forum...maybe i was just in the wrong part of the forum....anyways here the question.... is 190lbs compression to much for nitrous???? its a 30 shot on alky with the timing at +3 squish is at .035.5 just running 300ft and i don't wanna put more then the connecting rods can handle ..and i would just like to know the max comp a shee can handle on a 4 mill hotrods crank...also does anyone know a way of calculating how much compression ratio or pounds of compression i would have after adding the 190lbs + 30shot??? matt

  21. is there set back to not running the o rings????? i ran a 4 mill crank last year with out the middle and stator side o ring...... as a fact i put the crank back in for this year with out the same o rings... is this bad????
  22. i was mostly concerned about the plastics....the green and purple i like...i had a autistic friend that helps around the garage pic the colors and he likes the grave digger monster truck,,so i got the exact paint codes from that so i mean thats staying.....who doesnt like gravediggers colors....lol as for polishing...theres nothing that polishes on the bike except the motor and other then the stator cover and cases it is all polished with chrome cpi's,,polished nos bottle and all.... but i agree with all of you all the bass boat plastic has to go......ill prolly end up not running plastics...its not gonna make or break me on et times anyways....as long as im in the 3's... thanx guys for your honest answers,,thats just what i needed to know. all i go in the bike is $2500 in the motor the rest was spray painted thanx matt
  23. i just need some input guys... i'm having probs deciding if i like this color or just need to go back with just reg black..... my buddies all like it, but i don't think they would be truthful...thinking they might hurt my feelings...lol i need some honest replies guys. anything goes no hard feelings. me, myself, i think the sparkles are kinda cheesy but it was a free experimental thing, but i had my choice between this and black with no sparkle clear in it. i can't make my mind up if i'm kicking myself in the ass yet...lol thanks matt
  24. yea def let me know how the 18's go.... i can get this 1 pair jr dragster slicks for $100 brand new with teh sticker on the slicks still.... i figured that where slicks are so harsh on parts....where these are smaller in size i might be able to turn them with out them being as ruff as some 20 inch slicks but still hook as good as a 20 inch grooved tire...ya know...... matt
  25. yea i agree with the american racers but i was kinda more interested in sizes to run with my motor,,,like could i get by with runnin the slicks in a 18 inch....could i turn the american racers in a 20.5 or 21 x10 x10 or by a 8X10 the slicks i can get new for damn cheap..like 1/2 price..but there 18 inch... could a 18 inch hook up with my set up or would the size be to small to gear for,,,its only a 300ft hardtop track....... i dont have front brakes so i cant do much of a burnout unless i get them wet and just sling em off in like 3nd gear for just a sec.... asphalt will be new to me im a sand guy but its a new track in my area and closer then sand
