Brand New Chrome CPI Small Bore In-Frame Pipes
BoostedRex replied to BoostedRex's topic in For Sale - Parts & Accessories
This man is wise!!! All pm's returned -
That's exactly why we did it on his trike. So we could make sure what difference it made. I honestly believe that it would do the same on a banshee motor but to a lesser degreee.

Everytime you hear this question asked you never get a straight answer. So about a week ago me and my friend decided to try this theory out. We decided in order to be able to tell the difference we would have to make a huge spacer and then run no spacer. We agreed that a 1" thick spacer should do the trick. Then we had to decide what we would test it on. I convinced him that we should use his 1985 Yamaha 330cc tri-z because since it has only one cylinder that it would be easier to notice the difference between the two spacers. So I machined the spacer for his tri-z and we bolted it on. We ran it with the spacer and then took it off and ran it with no spacer. After a few pulls each way it was very evident that with the spacer it had ALOT more bottom end but it wouldn't rev out the same way it did without the spacer.

I was told that they have a smaller expansion chamber and they are more of a midrange pipe. I will try and find out tomorrow for sure.

Just a question bout two different motors...
BoostedRex replied to ryansedy's topic in Jetting & Exhaust Forum
I was raised around race cars with the concept of more fuel + more air = more power. It took me along time to grasp the idea with 2 strokes that just beacuse you run a bigger jet, it doesn't nessaricly mean that your motor is seeing more fuel because alot of it has to do with velocity. I have seen the same carbs put on smaller motors with less hp and actually have to go up in jet sizes. So your answer is No. Just beacause it has a bigger jet doesn't mean it is making more HP. -

I have 3 sets of them are they are made specially for CPI's  Paypal is [email protected] and I will try to have them shipped tonight. If not I will have them out for you by tomorrow. -
Polished Billet aluminum banshee pipe clamp/couplings with hi-temp o-rings. I have a few of these all brand new. They are the best clamps I have ever used because they actually pull the pipe and stinger tube together instead of just holding it. I'm selling them for $50 shipped to your door including paypal fees.

Just so you know you can't get any further away from the big dunes than Sand hills. Its on the very edge of the dunes on the east side. You won't make it on one tank of gas from there to Choke Cherry which is on the far west side. (On a stock banshee much less a built banshee) If you plan on riding out there you will have to have a fuel mule or trailer your banshees over there. Oasis costs $17 to camp with a tent. $26 for a trailer and like $45 for full hook ups. It costs one dollar for a shower.
-
You can shower at Oasis for like a buck. The ride over from Oasis to Thunder isn't too bad. My friend rode his 10mil k&t bike from there over to Thunder no problem. But he did trailer it over to Choke Cherry. But there isn't any camp grounds by Choke either. Rexburg is about a 20 minute drive from Oasis. They have walmart, albertson's and a few parts stores if you need a few little things. There is also Rexburg motorsports a few miles down the road and they carry quite a few atv parts.

Sorry I have to correct you on that one. Cold air does not expand greater than hot air. Its all the same air. Where the difference lays is that cold air is more dense than hot air so it takes up less space than the same amount of hot air. So the reason cold air makes a "bigger bang" is because you can fit/force more cold air in the same amount of space than you can of hotter air. Since there is more air in the same amount of space there is obviously more oxygen. Which is the reason their is a bigger bang. Not because it expands greater lol

4mil cub and CPI's. Like I said, as long as your tuned you can bet the farm you'll beat him cuz you'll smoke him all day long!!!... Unless he has nitrous or boost then he might get you lol
-
It should be packed on Labor day, but it really surprised me being up there for Memorial day because it wasn't really crowded at all. I have been up there on regular weekends when it has been more packed. The best place to camp "IF" you don't need hook ups for a trailer is Oasis. Its $27 a night. All the other camp grounds are around $50. I'm not sure but I think Boise is about 3 hours away. The sticker thing is a coin toss. I have never friends who get them. Personally I have never been messed or seen anyone who has but I do have Utah registraion on my predator. But at the sametime I don't even have a VIN on my new banshee... lol I'm not sure where you can get AVgas up there but all three stores up there sell VP110 5 gallon drums. But they are $55 a drum so its expensive if you buy it there. The flags really don't matter as long as they are about 6' off the ground. There is no daily fee, you just ride out of the campground and go for broke. The best place to stay depends on when you like to go to sleep... lol. Egin lakes is good if you like it quiter, its directly across from Thunder mtn but more pricey. And Oasis can get rowdy sometimes but costs half as much and its about half a mile ride to Thunder mtn.
