what are the advantages of a milled head?
pinned247 replied to trent04shee's topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
So if I took my head into a shop how would I know what size (not sure what the proper term is) to get it milled? Is milling your head similar to resizing your domes in a cool head? -
I have a few questions about adjustable timing plates. 1. I understand they have something to do with timing but what exactly do they do? Performance wise... 2. What kind of mods should I think about before I purchase the timing plate? 3. What's the difference between the degree key and the adj. timing plate? I did a search to see if I could find what I was looking for but couldn't come up with what I wanted.....If there is a similar post ...point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance! BTW..The only mods I have currently are FMF fatty's, PC2 silencer and a K&N air filter w/ vented air box lid.

Just bought the matte black finish brake and clutch C5 shorty refurbs off of ebay. I hope I like them....

You should try to stop by the Shamokin, Mt. Carmel area...the "coal region". There's alot of people on here from there including myself. There's plenty of trails, and some awesome hill climbs. If you did a search on coal hill, trevorton, goulds pump, black desert or the moon you could probably find some good posts on here...I know there's some videos. Hope I helped...

I woke up this morning and must have been dreaming about taking out the banshee cause that's all I could think about. So I got home from work and went to take her out. I was all geared up...full tank of gas, helmet on, gloves on....and then my phone rings. It was my boss, he wanted me to come back into work because he wanted to speak to me. All I could think about now was what the hell he wanted to talk to me about. I thought it was the end...well.. I get into work and there he is sitting at his desk with a look in his eyes like he was going to kill me. I asked him if he wanted me to come in and sit down, he said yes, sat there at his computer for like 5 minutes without saying a word and turns to me and says......welp...Kyle..congratulations. I was like...for what? He said "It's been a long time coming and I wanted to make it a little dramatic ...... YOU"RE GETTING A RAISE!! I wanted to punch him right between his already crooked eye balls. Any way...I said thank you and we talked for about 20 more minutes about the stuff he expected out of me. So finally it was time to head home. I'm in a great mood now....and better yet, now I could go home and burn around on the shee. So I get all geared up again, helmet on...gloves on...turn the key, pull the choke, pull in the clutch, and stomp on the kicker.....i looked around and said to myself.....ahhh finally..it's going to be a great saturday...gave the shee some gas and popped the clutch....It flew backwards through the wall of my garage!!! ....just so happens to be....my dad came over and left it in reverse. Sorry for those of you who now hate me.....

Wanted to get some feedback from some of my fellow coal regioners....or anyone else that knows what we're riding on.... Saw these tires and thought they'd work pretty well in our "blackyards"....let me know what you think. I'm not even sure if I could get the size I want. Found them here.. http://www.ronniesmailorder.com/catalog_ke...ord=pure+sports

Not sure if anyone has seen these. I figured I'd post them for anyone who hasn't. I found them in the March 09' ATV sport mag. I think I'm going to order one...what do you think??? Here's a link to the site... http://www.project321.com/quadMain.php

I do have stock carbs and I believe stock cables. Thanks for all your help! I appreciate everyones feedback. Going to figure out how to lube these things or even better, probably get some new ones. It's probably easy but I'm not quite sure how to do it. Does it describe how to do it in the Clymer's?

I've done some searching on here and couldn't seem to find what I need. Whenever I ride my thumb gets sore as hell. I've ridden some other bikes including banshees and it seems like their stock thumb throttle is a lot easier to push than mine. I guess I'm wondering if I need to replace my cables or just slap them with some lube... Can anyone steer me in the right direction on how to's and where to get new cables (or thumb throttle) if i need them? THANKS!

Hopefully you don't need a re-build. I would run a compression test on it and see where your at.

Here's a good site for some graphics. http://www.atvgraphicman.com/atv/yamaha/ba...tvgraphics.html For parts...there's alot of small companies on ebay.... I always find some good deals on there.

First thing I'd do is get some pipes and re-jet.
