  1. around 2k+, you can get stage 3 elka kits new from about $1500. thats about the best bang for buck i seen as new goes.
  2. Tight trails will suck but open fast ones will be ok. Ported serval prolly ya best bet for an all rounder. What you doing for suspension ?
  3. If ya racing, why a serval and not a cheetah ? Id send the cylinders to redline for a port. Tell him what you want. His "clean up " ports can yeild good power.
  4. dont use the ez spring from the kit, just use the arm with bearing and stock spring, or the slightly softer aftermarket spring. dont use dynatech cdi, just run stock cdi with a timing plate. i dont run the bearing with pro mod and its fine, but cant hurt to have one. id get the serval ported, stock port servals are lazy as. stock port serval, does not need a lock up, but if youre going to trail ride it, you can use stock clutch pressure plate spring and a lock up so the clutch isnt too stiff. and id wet bead blast the cases instead of sand blast. and powder coat the cylinders as paint would just chip off, ultimately i wouldnt coat or paint them. bare looks better id also port match the cases to the cylinders.
  5. no rear plastic looks half assed and not finished.
  6. fmfs like 27.5-30 pilot. checked coil and stator, cap resistances ? maybe cut 1/2" off the spark wires n screw them back on, if they check out shouldnt be running rich with that jetting in this temp. 30 pilot / 260 main is stock fmf jetting with lid on. so your 290 would be about right with you no lid and hot temp.
  7. its breaks the reed if you have them sitting on their side like that.
  8. i was talking about tylers photo of the 3 tanks. geez get over ya self nick !! haha
  9. wet grass, grassy fields, maxxis rzr tyres would be good, its about the only thing theyre good for. but absolutely shit on gravel.
  10. what are they ? sand geckos ? they look pretty shitty.
  11. timing plate reeds pipes. t5.t6.fmf.ptr.pc.dmc proflow adapter/filter rzr2's arent that good, they are hard and spin alot.
  12. i got a 4stroke, been riding it for a bit instead of the banshee (as its road legal wr450) i love it, its awesome BUUT !!!! i kinda wish it was a 2stroke. i love 2 strokes, 450 is cool, but sounds funny and lacks top end. torquey as and nice down low, but i miss the 2stroke aspect.
  13. these dont work as good as the vane style sync tool.
  14. oko 30 carbs are so hit and miss ! i had nothing but troubles with mine. in the end i threw them out (not really they sit in a box in the shed) i tried jjh, n68a's and another but i forgot. i tried cleaning up all the cast flaws and all mains and pilots. an messing with floats and needle valves. and i could not get rid of that mid range miss. i even took it to the dyno to get afr read out. and the dyno dude couldnt fix or give any answers. i threw stock carbs on and it worked fine.
  15. i thought banshee was just a SE version of the blaster ?
  16. Green still menstruating. gonna need a blood transfusion soon.
  17. 18s @ 750ft, whats that kicking compression ? like 180ish ? i probably wouldnt run much timing advance if any at all. if its an un welded crank, its going to move around a bit with that comp anyway. superstock vitos would be ok, if youre not going to port it, but porting it and getting some wisecos would be a good option. another option would be to true and weld that crank so it doesnt go out of phase.
