  1. Okay, after a whirlwind of ups, downs, etc., I wound-up with an '02 Shee! It already has a set of Toomey T5's, K&N Filters, and 240 mains with 25 or 27.5 (he couldn't remember...) pilots. Does this sound ok? The Shee is otherwise stock. I way fooking excited!!! After getting my ass handed to me on more than one occasion, and even making fun of my brother for wanting an antiquated, blue-smoke-spitting, funky-looking relic of the 80's, it looks like I have finally caught the bug. I wanted a Banshee. There is nothing like the wail of a two-stroke, twin-cylinder machine being given the full monty... They just plain ROCK!!! And so I had to have one.... Anyway, back to reading... I have a lot to learn!
  2. I have a cool little Blaster that was smoking some 4-stroke z400's and EX400's out near Baker a couple weeks ago.. They are too freakin' fun, and is the reason I am getting the Banshee (the wife and kids are pissed that I keep wanting to jump on the Blaster...)
  3. I am picking up my first ever Banshee tonight--an '06 Black SE model. It is bone-freakin'-stock... I've done some research here (learned about the TORS, etc.), and am just looking for some tips on a good exhaust system, carb jetting, etc. I do mostly duning (matter of fact, the Banshee will be all dunes--my KFX450R will be the trails/desert ride). I also posted a similar question in the "General Discussions" forum, and got one good solid answer (FMF Fattys with K&N pods), and was just wondering if anyone else had similar ideas and tips, or maybe even a system for sale. Thanks!!
  4. ...Thanks for your input! Yeah, I don't intend to drag this 'Shee just yet, and to me, half the fun of getting to Olds' hill at Glamis is the ride through the dunes.
  5. Yeah, I did some searching--some with good results, some with not-so-good results. I know I have to dump the tors... and I don't want a twist throttle... and I know what oil I like. BTW, I'm new to two strokes, and even newer to Banshees. I bought an '03 Blaster last month, and am picking up an '06 SE 'Shee tonight... Problem is, she is bone-freakin'-stock. I live in Socal, and dune at Glamis and Dumont... So onto my questions: I want to do exhaust and jetting asap--what is a good duning set-up that won't sacrifice reliability? Any particular brands that stand out as very performance oriented and that give a reasonable duning power band? Any other things I "need to do" first? TIA!!!
