  1. Is it the K&N filter and K&N filter lid. If so read the manual and use their jetting advice which I am not going to say because people think I would be crazy suggesting their jet sizes.
  2. The pilot screws work with the idle screws. So if you adjust one most probably the other will need to be adjusted. If there is no bog at 1/2 but the idle is low, then just adjust the idle screws so it idles at the highest point with the pilot screws only turned out 1/2 turn.
  3. Both of those screws are the airscrews. But if the bike is running lean those screws really wont do shit to help it. What are all the mods done to the bike? Then you need to figure out what jets are in the carbeurator. Also how does the bike run.

  6. My bike seems to run like perfectly but my plugs tell a different story. I have the K&N powerlid and a K&N filter with 320 mains 3rd clip needle and 30 pilots. The bike runs like perfect but then on the base ring of my plugs it is only tan for half of the base ring. In other words the tan color doesnt go all the way around the plugs. What does everyone else run with this intake mod.
  7. The pipes are the same thing between the 2 systems the only difference is the mid pipes and the silencer. If he is switching from the aliens to the 916's and he has the alien pipes with the 916 mid pipe and silencer it will bolt right up.
  8. Is it the silencer and the mid pipe? or just the 2-1 silencer?
  9. I would try 310 mains and 27.5 pilots. 270-280 seems a little lean for pods.
  10. Dont mistake a bog for a rich condition when really it might be a lean condition. I really have no experience with pod K&Ns and everything else oem.
  11. What are your mods done to the bike and the intake/ airbox mods. Bump up your main a little and it should start fine.

  14. I dont know about your 1st or 2nd question but the 3rd question you might want to run smaller domes for the race gas.

  17. Full lid and snorkel on with your mods I would say 270 mains and 27.5 pilots. No snorkel 290 mains 27.5 pilots and with no lid I would try 310 mains and 27.5 pilots IMO.

  19. First we have to get the intake part straight. In the other thread you said you have pod UNI's. Your profile says K&N pods and this thread says a K&N with no lid. Which do you run? Also don't mistake a bog for lean conditions for a rich condition.

  21. The 916's are discontinued but if you look really well I am sure a warehouse has a left over one because I remember talking to someone that got one from a manufacture in NY. As far as my aliens really good mid/top end power and a lot of torque increase. The only down side is it really doesn't have oh so much low end but once you start moving at a good rate you would be disappointed with these pipes. Its no problem pullin wheelie in 3rd or 4th gear either. The only difference between the 916's and the aliens is really sound. If your really looking into the 916's I could give you a place that might have one sitting in their warehouse.
  22. Looks like you already hit the bottom end power with the 2-1 carb. If you mostly do trails the Pro circuits would be good for that bottom end power. If your looking for like bottom/mid range you might be able to get away with the 916's or Paul Turners because they both deliver a hell of an amount of mid range power.
  23. no matter what his ratio is it isnt enough to change it to right jetting in his case. I would say bump up your main to atleast a 310.
  24. Right now 320 mains and 30 pilots but that is out of the range for you. I probably have different pipes then you but I had the same air box setup as you are running now and I was at 290 mains and 30 pilots at the time.
  25. I completley agree the only down side I would have with DMC pipes is your bike tends to bog off of a start off but once your moving its like a bat outta hell.
