  1. yamaha of troy's web site has all the factory replacement parts.
  2. My favorite for playing is a 20x11x9 hauler. I think the 9 inch wheel is best because in a real hard slide the wheel won't dig in the sand as easy as a 10 inch. Everytime I ride a 10 inch wheel it has a tendancy to highside in a hard slide. Just my preference. 8 paddles will be plenty for a basically stock machine.
  3. The sst's seem to be the reviest of the fmf's. They still seem to have the bottom end of the fatty's but also pull a little more on top. My favorite out of the fmf's.
  4. I just used new springs from cascade innovations. talk about tight I don't think you would ever lose these springs.
  5. Jetting might go up a touch but not much. It should still fire up. Pull your cages back out. I have heard of v-forces sucking the reed off the cage. Shouldn't with new ones but ya never know.
  6. If it is breaking up on top like you say I would guess you are a little lean. Go up a size or two on the main and see if that cures your problem.
  7. Pipes and a filter almost always will put up over a 300 main. Some of the pipes ask for less but everyone I have seem with fmf's runs at least 310 mains.
  8. I did the shift star, shift pro, and the alba easy shift cam all at once. It was too easy to shift. I would accidentally bump the shifter and miss gears. I took the star back out and left all the other parts in. Now I am real pleased with the result.
  9. Haulers are the way to go. At least try em out. I personally wouldn't ride anything different.
  10. I think those look like the boyesen power reeds. They would be like a two piece reed. That is how I run mine without the metal stop.
  11. How do you guys thinks my ported stock cyl. 4mil. will fair against a 472 supercub that isn't ported?
  12. I would say start with 135 or 140 mains, that should put you on the rich side I would think. Pilot I would guess somewhere between 40 and 50.
  13. Those are your mains and if they are 230's, I would imagine that would be super lean. Your plugs must be really white. That would explain it wanting to run away. A lean condition can cause that. Go up to at least a 280 jet do a plug chop.
  14. One of my buddies runs fmfs and a k&n in the box. Rode on a cold weekend in february had 320 twenty mains then seemed a little lean in the cold weather. Went to 330 and hasn't changed it since, probably a little fat in the warmer weather. Still runnin and hasn't fouled a plug.
  15. In other words they are not worth the extra headache since you have to bore the cases.
  16. Just curious what kind of results people are getting out the super cubs. Don't here much about them on here but all the builders advertise that they make more power.
  17. Straight paddles slide great if you get the right size. This slide is on 20x11x9 haulers.
  18. I think the biggest killer of the oem pistons would be compresion because the are cast. Would you put cast pistons in your motor if you building a hot rod?
  19. 66mm bore is .80 over bore leavin you .90 and .100. 4mm crank and 66mm bore makes a 396 to be technical. You can reach your displacement number by multiplying the strokexhalftheborexhalftheforex3.14xnumber of cylinders. For example 5.8(4mill)x 3.3(66mmbore)x3.3x 3.14x2(cyl.)=396.6
  20. Go with the keihin's. They are great carbs. Also if you have eliminated your thors on the stock carbs, that will be the cable you need for keihins
  21. I believe rockymountain carries them. rockymountainatvmc.com
  22. When I had 28's on my bike I started with a 40 pilot which had a big hesitation off of the bottom. Went to a 50 pilot and that seemed to crispin it up. Kinda weird being I just to 35's and they were the dead opposite. Had to decrease the pilot on the 35's.
  23. In sig
  24. Sounds like you covered the bases. But maybe forgot the crossover balance tube between the stock carbs. Seen it happen before.
  25. Got the new pipes(shearers) and carbs(35s) on. Seems like a ripper now. Excited to try it in the sand. Maybe a little loss down low but not as bad as I thought it might be. Thanks for everyones input.
