  1. He finally stopped texting me. Guess he finally figured out I knew he was full of shit.
  2. He wanted $250 dollars lol I told him " look, it ran good when you bought it and I did a compression test right before you bought it, what you've done to it between last week and now is on you" He then said he hasn't rode it at all, I asked what the compression was he said "I don't know it had a hole" Told him "well I've never rode a banshee with a hole in the piston but I would imagine it wouldn't run very good and read 195 on a psi test" He hung up.
  3. If you sold a banshee that ran fine, the buyer said it ran damn good. Then one week later they call you and say it's running on one cylinder and there's a hole in one of the pistons. What would you think? Engine had 66mm pistons, 19cc domes, drag port, 36mm carbs, +5 timing, and 100 octane with Amsoil dominator 2 stroke oil. Checked compression before I sold it. Pulled both plugs, did a compression test and it came out to 195 lbs in each cylinder. new owner says he never rode it. I feel like i would have known if something wasn't right with it. I'm thinking he threw some 93 in it to go play in the snow and it went kaboom.
  4. For those running bolts, are you using tubes?
  5. I was told to run about 30 in each tire. I'm about to start on it. I'll post pics when I finish
  6. Thanks. I believe I will leave it at 5 degrees and run 110 to be safe
  7. So I guess I should either leave it at +5 be looking for some 110?
  8. Trying to figure out if I'm doing the right thing here. I have 66mm pistons, 19cc domes, cool head, drag ported cylinders, etc. etc. My compression checks out to be 195lbs in each cylinder. My timing has been set to +5 degrees but I'm told to move it to between +7 and +10 degrees. I'm running straight 100 race fuel because it's easy to get, I can buy it right at the pump 2 miles from home. Is this enough? Or should I be running 110? Elevation is 500ft Thanks
  9. Running at Busco Beach in North Carolina. Ground is hard packed dirt. We mainly just go up there and drag race for fun. I have a 2ed set of tires id like to set up before this weekend. After doing a bunch of searching all over the internet, I think I'm going to run 3/8x1.5 bolts with washers. How many would you say I should run in each tire? Also is grade 8 really needed or can I get away with grade 5? I'm pretty stocked up on grade 5 bolts but I can get grade 8 at the hardware store for $45
  10. Anyone run them? I've seen everything from bolts to roofing screws. Trying to decide which way to go without spending a bunch of money.
  11. It ran when I got it. Other then the yellow/black plastics, Just wasn't in the best shape appearance wise. We don't have atv titles in NC. Is there a list anywhere where I could get an idea for what each part is worth? Or would I need to look up each part? I have thought about parting it out. Yeah I can go just a tad more I believe if ever needed but will be maxed out at that point.
  12. I also ordered a seat cover for it off ebay but it never came and the seller dropped off ebay. Haven't ordered another one yet
  13. I'll go through my email and print them all off but for now I paid 2k for the bike in rough shape. Bill of Sale for that 450 for the a arms 300 swingarm 700 pipes 250 wheels 250 tires 380 plastics 150 clutch 180 chain sprockets 1200 in motor including machine work and (bought the pistons and head from a friend who ran them for 2 weekends then changed setup) 100 handlebars 150 powder coat 400 axle 300 carbs That's about 6800 then all new bearings, bushings, tie rod ends, brake lines, pads, etc etc and all the other small stuff that adds up I'd have to look at receipts on would put it around 7500 total invested into this thing. I know I wont get anywhere near that because you never get your money out of anything when you build something, but I wont sell it for 3k. I'll just keep it. I have one full riding day on all these parts at Busco beach. It may be easier for me to just trade it for someone who has a 4wd and wants a banshee
  14. How much is it worth? I have no idea. I have 7500 in receipts on it
  15. I think i'm going to sell my Banshee. I just finished it and have taken it to Busco once. It's a lot of fun and i love riding it but there's just nowhere to really open it up around the house other then the road and i cant go to Busco as much as i'd like so i've decided i want to get a 4x4. I bought it about 3 years ago and took it apart down to the frame and had it powder coated. When putting it back together, i upgraded everything. I'll list the main mods that i can think of off hand. Powder coated the frame black, Motor is bored out a little (66mm i believe), Trinity IV head, 19cc domes, Trinity drag ported cylinders, PJ 36mm carbs, k&n pod filters, Durablue +4 adjustable axle, +6 swingarm, +2+2 Alba A-arms, F.A.S.T HD clutch w/ pancake bearing, new tires, wheels, new Rental X ring chain and sprockets, Shear in frame drag pipes, Pro taper bars, New plastics (have old set yellow/black LE), new high flow water pump, chariot foot peg chain tensioner, TM designworks guide, all new bearings, bushings, cables, etc, etc, etc. Asking price is $5000 Located in North Carolina. That's much less then I have into it. Bike is very very very clean. I have the stock LE yellow and black plastics also. Will trade for 4wd
  16. I adjusted the floats and it seems to be running a little better. Did a plug chop afterwards. Here's a pic.
  17. Just got around to working on it last night. It has 180 mains. Does this sound in the ballpark or should I still try 165? Elevation is 500 ft
  18. Thanks! Bike is drag ported, I'll start from there.
  19. They are Keihin PJs, Not sure on jet size, I'll have to check tonight. Everything seemed right before I swapped out the pipes, but I'm not sure if I should go up in jet size, Float isn't adjusted right, or its just the way drag pipes are. I'll check jet size after work and try to get a 1st-6th gear video to help show what im talking about.
  20. So I put some Shear SB In frames on my banshee and I'm wondering if i should I change the jetting for these pipes? The bike had FMF pipes on it before. Engine is stock bore, ported, 19cc domes, cool head, 36mm carbs. Was pouring gas out of the overflows so I adjusted the floats and seem to have fixed that problem before riding it first time after powder coating the frame. Going down the road, the bike seems to have a hesitation before reaching the power band. I'm not sure if its just how the pipes are or if I have a jetting issue. Thanks
  21. Where are you located?
  22. Lost my kick starter at some point during rebuilding this motor. Anyone have anything laying around? Thanks
  23. I went from Pro Circuit Pipes to Shearer SB in frame drags. Should I rejet? I'm guessing bump up the mains if so? I'm running 36mm carbs.
