I think that I may have an idea in mind for your company: Banshee fan cooling system that looks goes as well as cools the darned radiator well. It must include a extended radiater cover tha goes with the banshee lines it alreqady has. http://www.banshee-cooling.com/ This is the closest that I have seen but it looks like crap without a cover shroud that would make it more asthetically pleasing. Just a thought. :cool:

I just got a call from the chrome shop here in Denver: They are back logged but for a mere 300 bucks they can put enough nickel and chrome on them to light up the night sky. Tammy;"250rchick" I think that rather than screw around and try and get another set of pipes and spend the money on shipping and wait for another set of pipes, I am just going to leave them in the box and wait till I can get them chromed at the summers end when they are not back logged. Ill get it how I want it somehow. I just cannot see having you guys bite the bullet on something that was the fault of DMC and not you. Yes I spent alot of cash for a brand new Banshee: I did it because I could. Its the same reason people buy new cars and have them depreciate when they drive them off the lot. Because they can. You already have your shiney pipes so fuck off. Put old scuffed up and tore up from the floor up used parts on your bike all you want. I have a beater banshee and a new one. Noone else cares but me. I dont have to impress anyone but myself. Right now I have some old painted T-5 pipes and by god I wanted some friggin Chrome pipes. You just do us all a favor and go back down the hallway at your parents house and go outside and play with your old torn up junk pile parts for your banshee and mind your own shit and not mine....boy.

Kevin also stated that he races the Pikes peak race here in Colorado and has been running the fuel injection flawlessly for over 12 or 13 years If I remember correctly. He is finishing up a race bike for a customer that runs on E-85 and the dialing in/mapping of that system has taken a few months of dyno runs at his shop, but he states that he will eventually get it correct and have another batch of calibrated data for the laptop he uses on the setup. With the high output stater, timing plate, bracket, battery and custom wiring harness you would have to come up with, he stated to me that for a gasoline ran machine with no Nitrus or no alcohol based engine.....its awesome for reliability. Other high performance motors he has to do custom maping for that same reliability. For those of you that already have the high output stater and battery set ups on your banshees then the cost for the fuel injection would be alot less. It would be just the long drive to his shop in fuel costs getting there....

Well Im researching chrome shops here in Denver before I decide to ship them back to you. Ill let you know sometime today. If I hadent waited 20 years to finally get to own a new Banshee I wouldnt care much about the appearance. After speaking to Chris Robinson about it and him being so smug about the whole thing It torqued my jaws abit about the failure of the company to disclose the fact that they no longer made them in show Chrome. Its Chris Robinson at "DMC" that really got my goat. For DMC to even show the pipes shiney and deliver a product less than that and expect "250rchick and her husband to simply bite the bullit as a dealer on this fact to thier customers like me who dont like the product results is crappy business ethics in my opinion. Hell yea Ill sell you my new ones. I just got them in the mail today brand new. They are not the show chrome I thought they were as the website shows. Included would be the u.s. forest service approved spark arrestor as well. Let me know if you are interested. If not then I will return mine. I spoke to a Chris Robinson up at DMC about the chrome issue and he said that they no longer do the show chrome finish and that the photo was from 6 years ago that is on the website.He also stated that they were going to remove those photos from the website as they dont do these in the high gloss show chrome any longer. Its really misleading I told him. He simply said for me to return them to Tammy (250R chick) for a refund. I told him that even the directions for installation show up as a show chrome finish on the black and white paper its copied on. Any how I will sell these pipes with spark arrester for exactly what I have in them. I bought a brand new Banshee and was going to put these on it but I want it to shine and perform. Let me know ASAP.

I finally got mine and the pipes are way cloudy on the chrome finish. They look like they have a spraycan finish, all dull looking and have scratches all over them from them being bent to weld together. I got on the DMC website and of course the ones on the website are way shiney and the chrome is perfect. Im calling them on these pipes as these look like the cheap finish that the FMF fatty pipes have on them. They barely have any chrome on them at all. I must thank Tammy and her husband for all thier help getting these pipes for us. I am just not happy with the finish that the pipes have on them.

I found a dude on E-bay that sells the minuki jet kits for Banshees for approximately $35.00 or so. I just ordered one with plenty of jets for the many altitude changes I will be at around Colorado. That kit should be able to jet these pipes in just right and make the bike really scream. That kit has like 15 different sizes of jets both idle and main jets.......All in pairs for dual carbs. :biggrin:

I spoke to him about three months ago in length about the whole costs of this as well as other items needed. The total is more like 1800 for everything including getting it all dialed in just right. The 900 bucks just buys the system itself and not the battery and bracket for the battery, the wiring harness that would have to be made, the computer work to dial it in and teh dyno runs during this whole process. Im saving pennies for it two years from now when I get all my other crap bought for the new Banshee I have now. With fuel prices rising the cost now would be around 1900 bucks due to the fuel cost of traveling to Kansas from Denver. :cool:

How is the chrome job they did on them? The photo above looks like they are not the show chrome as in corporate photos. Just curious. I hope my spark arrestors were sent as well as the pipes I ordered. Man I cant wait till I get them mounted when I get mine. :cool: :happy:

Wow: Life is short but both of you are way too young to have these problems. Relax and just be yourself. If she cannot acccept how you are then she will eventually go by the wayside and you will eventually get another more apreciative girl that will enjoy the outdoors life with you and not be so darned clingy. Girls at that age want all of your attention or they start to feel needy and pessimistic about the relationship. A highly educated girl that is college minded will not be so needy and instead will be more self assure of herself. I would say that all you can do is be yourself and do what you want to do but invite her along for the ride. Try to offer her her some attention by a good date now and then but do not try to change who you are and what you like to do when playing with your bikes. She likes you that way dont worry. What you do and your hobbies are most likely what she liked about you anyways. And.....If not then there are plenty more good looking girls where she came from. Youthful relationships are fun but they last only a short time when there are petty problems like this in them. Just get her a banshee going and take her out and ride with her. Test it out and see if it sounds good when it runs. If the compression is good it looks good for that price. Pipes will run you another $350.00 used of course..... and air filter (K&N) another $45.00 Id offer him $1,200 because it has no mods. But all in all it looks like a decent deal to me. :cool:

Well its yours now, so I say strip her down to the bones and start a complete refurbish of at least paint and rust scrubbing, cleaning and then really inspecting while its apart of all things good you do have. Then reassemble with clean repainted parts and new chain, and brake pads. It looked like one rear hub had a stress fracture in one photo. Get a good stock kicker and reassemble it with some love and tune her and ride her till the winter when you can do a real refurb. Have fun, dont worry its got potential if you care enough to work on her a bit. :biggrin:

I would start by eliminating the obvious things like the lack of compression as you say it has no power. Do a compression check on her as then you will have a good baseline on that at least. Change the oil, re-sync the carbs and adjust the mixture screws There is youtube videos on how to do that. Do a plug chop if you think that your jets are off and it will tell you more on the lean rich condition and then get back to the experts here and they can give you more info on more things. Note: If you have the carbs off again you can check the reed condition as well. Have fun man //////It doesnt sound serious yet. :cool:
