With that last post, You have it all wrong man. When I got my dune port dune on stock cyls, HJR offered to mill the head to save me cash. I ended up getting the cool head for the fact it was simple to install, and I could use it later for whatever build I did. It looked nice as well. It is not like ANYONE told me I had to do it. If someone post wanting advice about saving cash and mods, milled heads always come up. No one post saying a cool head is a must. If that is what you think is going on, you need to look again. Everything we post are suggestions. Most are from our own set-ups. Most people will buy/pay for convenience. It is not a lack of know-how. If they want to try and do it themselves, they normally post questions about it and get answers. People will always go with what they can afford regardless of advise. You can not assume people believe whatever they read and run out and do it. You look like a hypocrite IMO. You have tons of post about "do not believe everything you read". You are the only person here giving bias advise to people instead of options. People like to make a choice. You are trying to force yours. I have dealt with alot of sponsors here, and they always look out for my best interest. You make it sound like they are in it for the cash only. Kevin and Jeff even helped me for over a year in deciding what I wanted to do before dropping any cash.

I did this as well. I thought it ran ok and seemed spot on by eye. checked it with the tool, and it was off. Ran even better after the tool.

I thought about making my own out of wood. I hate the bars sometimes.

So far most of everyone is staying at LSP. Some reason they wont let you reserve state sites. LSP sites are bigger anyways.

Welcome to HQ, after about 2 weeks of reading and searching this forum, you will learn a lot. Learn all you can about jetting, carb syncing, reading the plugs, and the wiring. These are places where most of your problems will start, and also help you diagnose other problems that might be going on. Also check out leak down testing, compression testing. Knowing about all that will help with future issues. The key is tuning and trouble shooting. Keep tuning and tweaking the bike on a regular, and you will be surprised how long it will last. Mods are only limited by your wallet. On a new stock bike, I would first get rid of the tors, pipes, and air box. The Clymers will show you how to adjust your chain, and do a lot of things that you will read about on here. I like to adjust my chain with someone sitting on the bike.

I figure I would ask the HQ. Never know who has what around here. I am needing some LT arms for my new shocks that are 18.5". Shoot me a price and pics. I may trade my elkas (triple rates w/rezzie) for the right set.
