  1. If it were my bike... And i got the comp. numbers that u have. I would have the cylinders bored. New pistons, and rings installed... If u were gonna port it then would be the time.. i would also split my cases to ensure my crank and tranny is in good condition. U dont need to split cases but i would want to just to ensure everything lookds good... If ur scared to do the topend urself get a clymer manual and it will walk u through it step by step.. Otherwise We on Hq should be able to help with what is not described in there. Find urself someone to bore ur cylinders and u can do the rest... Trust me its not hard at all.. I dont think u have a carb problem.. and no the petcock wouldnt cause the issue u are having. But low compression would.. Just my .02
  2. Does it have the pancake bearing or stock configuration?
  3. He ported my bike. Runs hard let me tell ya... I cant really compare it to HJR or fast, cuz i never ridden one or had one so. But Mike does great work.. ill vouch for it...
  4. The bike will still "perform" just fine on a slightly low compression. Although once the cylinders are too big u will get piston slap and could possibly have destruction... NOt safe to let ur engine go like that... Top end rebuilds are easy and dont take long...i would say stock is at about 130.. IF it were me... i would rebuild top end b4 it ends up costing u more money cuz ya waited...
  5. Not to be that guy but.. What is a Cheetah DM... what does the DM stand for??? I know what the cheetah is...
  6. 45 to 50 hrs of riding is pretty typical of a top end rebuild... I think ur #s are low...I wouldnt just go adding different domes to bring it back up... but its ur bike not mine... and i check mine cold...
  7. Lakes motorsports in waterford is cheap, fast and does a great job...
  8. If i got those #s on my bike i would think its time for a top end rebuild... Those are low #s... looks like its time for a bore and a fresh top end... I wouldnt let it go any further... U could cause more damage by not doing it... Just my 02
  9. I guess it would do me better to T&T to see what i turn.. I might not race though.. i guess we'll see...

  21. Guys, Got a set of rims from a friend for free ... only problem is the wheels come from a suzuki and the hole pattern doesnt match... I want to drill new holes in them (there is plenty of room) to fit the shee... I have a few ideas about how to do it but i dont know if they are precise enough... I know someone has done this.. just wondering how and whats the most accurate way... I dont really have acess to a mill or lathe so thats out of the ?.... All help is appreciated... Thanks
