    drag trace oh

try thunder valley dirt drags in Lisbon ohio
  2. id be willing to aggresive trail port a set of your stock jugs for midrange torque and add auxilary intake boost ports for braod power also id mill the stock head for you if youd like for those CPI pipes ,ive been looking for a used set
  3. .037 is pretty tight ...you need to account for rod stretch ,theres more power in the head design im sure but it wont be found by tightening the squish anymore though ,your gap being small and the pistons being too close will cause added heat ,carbon deposits and risk of detonation ,more power will be found in the dcrease of dome volume... the squish angle and the band width ,theres actually some pretty in depth technology in how these heads can make power
  4. for trails and response your probably better off wit h a smaller carb on your setup anyways ,free bump
  5. the 03 and up blaster axle is around 3 inches shorter putting it about 28 inches in length if i rememebr correctly .it is plenty strong and yes its lighter than a banshee ,as far as power distribution with it,i have never seen any issue regarding that and i run it on my methanol cub. i think its a good mod if yo u dont have half a grand to throw at your rear end only to save probably 3 pounds over this setup ,just my opinion .
  6. thats a good deal for those and chromed like that is a huge plus ,probably one of the best drags pipes on the market for a small bore banshee
  7. EBC is a good clutch ,im going to be offering a drag clutch soon myself, ive measured and tested most all the clutch packs sold for the banshee, it wont use the skimpy fzr fibers or plates like most builders use ,in fact it will barely fit into the clutch basket and will have lots of area for optimum performance with very stiff springs for the resistance ,currently testing o n a ported 90 horse 421 cub as we speak .
  8. 149$ for a brand new topend wiseco kit from a licensed reputable dealer is an awesome price ,you must realize wiseco just raised there prices up on jan1st ,will you find a few dollars cheaper on ebay ? sure but you ru nthe risk of the bullshit headaches and bad sellers that come along with it ,the seller may be selling these on the net while hes drunk eating mayoniase sandwhiches in a trailer court somwehere i n new jesrey in his pissy underwear while pitbull is chewing o n the bag wit h your rings in it and hes drinking pabst beer watching the etertainment tonight now john(rjatv) is a great guy ,hes a legitamite licensed business trying to make a name for himself selling the best products at the best price he can ,hes getting started and he wil l hook you guys up on parts for great deals .tell him Denny from Flotek sent you .
  9. get a 03 or newer blaster axle...totally bolt in compatable ..its lighter ,3 inches narrower and still tough as nails
  10. pro circuits are a very effecient pipe, similar to T5 in that they both wont get much over 9500 rpms on a gas stock stroke and they like fairly mild port timming around 192-194 with a 33 degree blowdown ,they can respond well to porting as long as the duartions are in sync with the pipes ,if the porting is set higher like what some would call high rev duner around 198 degrees and 130transfer it will narrow the powerband and lose lowend response and torque ,every builder has a different idea and calls their porting varieties a different name, the stock stroke and 4 mill port wil lhave different powerband manners with same durations ,you cant run high port timing on a 350 to make the peak power and expect t o maintain killer lowend ...but theres ways to gain it back throug htiming and compression however . id call Jim and hell steer you i nthe correct direction and give you some ideas
  11. looks like a stage4 port from raycharles racing
  12. bump for a guy with the prettiest mouth that a fella' could ever come across
  13. oil choice is mostly preferance,if the ratio and jetting is correct it is not going to make a break a topend . but some oils are better than others and some are just plain crap ,there was an interesting thread about this topic on plantsand a while back they found castor /synthetic castor blened oils like benol, castor927,redline technaplte made more power on a dyno but should be mixed with a ratio of 32-1 or less they even found less than 16-1 made more power .reduce the friction and you will gain ... castor has a higher BTU rating than gasoline it will actually burn off and make more power but its kinda dirty burning compared to other blends thats why it is often found mixed with synthetics to have the bst of bot hworlds ,castor has safely been used for many years on full blown GP race bikes to provide awesome film strength and reduce friction with a low flash point ,synthetics have a hig h flash point thats why you can run them at these really wild ratios of 80-1 but it does no good to run them like 32-1 your just loading up your cases and topend because it cant be burned off as effeciently .i have torn apart many many engines and I have often found gummy unburned oil in the cases and transfer jackets exhaust carboned up tract from those synthetic oils ,i would run tecnhaplate redline benol or castor 927 at 32-1. you will not see a motor destroyed by running a little too much oil ,but the opposite is asking for trouble in my opinion .when someone gives yo ua free gallon of premix oil at a race or a huge discount then yo uwil more oftne than not say good things about it ,thats how some of these oils got marketed.aside from the technical aspect of burn rates it is pretty simple to see the difference ,take 2 pieces of metal and rub them together 10,000 times per minute for a good while ..the set with more oil between them will surely have less wear than say a set that has only a drop or two of lubricant ...doesnt matter what the clever wording o nthe back of the bottle reads or if johnny salesman says you can be a dealer and get a big discount .
  14. well dropping the ports down to bdc is one thing but you must compensate for the stroke to hit the correct duartions .only way to do this right is to measure degree and map it out ,also be sure to check the squish clearnace when its all said and done ,that clearance is a critical part of the equation, you shoudl run 795 series wiseco pistons .
  15. I totally agree climb is a great guy, you would be hard pressed to find a more stand up guy and HQer than him

    RIPPEN

yep Rippen is a good guy
  17. well you wont get the big torque numbers like youd normally see on the 421 getting but it will rev very hig h and very fast with more than enough power ,in a straight line dirt drag the times are going to be pretty close to a stroked big bore cub ,these are often underestimated and are a very powerful little motor when setup right .
  18. yep id love ot have my old account profile reinstated I tried contacting Lee on 3 -4 different emails but no response ,John you are right about the advertising ,lots of good guys on here i guess for now i wil l see what the new year brings and go fro m there . ...Dajogerjr im not sure if that banshee i n the vid had mods or not, cant remember but rest assured that blaster has beaten many ported and piped 250-350's..zillas ,new fourstroke 450's rappy 700's, and even a couple banshee strokers
  19. well its my understanding your stuff runs pretty good too  lol thats a nice compliment Kevin , sometimes it pays off to use small companys like us instead of the usual big shop "just send us the money and youll be happy in 6 weeks " attitude .
  20. yeah ...you are probably referring to my sponsored rider Matt dombrosky on his blaster ,without tooting my own horn he currently holds the Pa. state title for the 250R BB + class even though his blaster engine is considerably less than that . heres a vid of him half tracking a new LE banshee in 300 feet ,we have hurt many peoples egos on his blaster lol video clicky
  21. well I am rocketboy ...my pc crashed my internet provder changed as well so in turn i lost all my info for HQ(huge headache) ,tried to use my old profile but didint get far ,so i started a a new name on here under flotek ,Im a tool and die/mold maker and supervisor at an industrial plant where we specialize in building micro injection molds for packard Delphi and I have a side business (Flotek performance )at my residence building 2stroke engines . while its true i have done mostly custom engines on E2S ,i have also done quite a few on here as well ..alot of time they are not active members however .as far as who to g oto for porting if it was me in your shoes I would call up and or email several (maybe a dozen)builders with good reputations by fellow members or friends that have used them personaly.. big and small well know n and not so well known and just chat with them and address your concerns your budget and power goals for your bike ,be weary of any that try to make yo ufeel pressured or like its magical hocus pocus and wont tel l you exactly what your money is being spent on and i n the end youl lhave a good idea or atleast have it narrowed down ...I think youll find in alot of cases theres still a personal touch for those builders who truely love the sport and the satisfaction of a job well done at a fair price .you ca n feel free to pm me here or email me at flotekperformance@yahoo.com if you like . Denny
  22. I agree ,and alot of people say" PJ" stands for ....Piece of Junk
  23. I agree something is not right or calculated correctly with your setup . having 190lbs is going to reduce your peak rpms by a great deal and will be hard on bearings and as we all know the vitos cranks arent known for holding together to wel l in the first place,i would check the squish clearance and those domes for the correct trapped volume
  24. they are both easy to tune ..the dual 35 mm carbs is the minimum on cubs but your bore diameter doesnt make sense ,what exactly do yo uhave ? sure its a cheetah cub ?
  25. where did you get these cylinders from? this is why its a bad idea to buy ported jugs off ebay its like a box of choclates yo u just never know what your going to get
