  2. 2002 Banshee with title $1000 Needs the topend rebuilt. Engine and plastics are off the frame. I have a new UNI airfilter, Moose Racing top end gasket set, 2 quarts of Belray tranny oil and 4 new plugs that go with it. The frame is good and straight, the lower left a arm has a dent in it but it shouldn't affect the way it rides. The top left a arm needs new bushings. These were the only things I found wrong with it. All electronics are there. Bike has some fly handlebars and a prodesign killswitch. Plastic and engine are off the bike now.   3. pistons face the exhaust side..........sounds to me like your pilot jet and or circuit is clogged you have to blow all the circuits in the carb out too, not just the jets.
  4. It was either factory effex or ceet. I am pretty sure they don't make them anymore. They were already on the bike when I bought it.

  6. Dude that is WAY to much oil. You only need 4oz to a gallon and that will give you a 32:1 mix. You are currently running it 16:1 and I bet you will be oil fouling plugs in the very near future. Don't be afraid to listen to the guys around here they know there shit. TUCK
  7. Your main jetting is WAY LEAN for your mods. You should atleast have a 260 or 280 main in there. But this wouldn't cause it to not start with the kicker. Is your choke tube in place? If it is you got a clogged pilot circuit on one or both carbs.

  9. The bike was taking for ever to hit the powerband and when I pulled the carbs the pilots were half clogged so I think I found my problem.
  10. Should of added that these are the stock carbs. I just pulled the carbs and the current jetting is 310 main, needle in the middle and 30 pilots. Do you think this is pretty close to what it should be?

Bike is an 01 Mods DMC Alien pipes and silencers Pro Design Cool Head with 20cc domes Boyesen Rad Valve with carbon reeds Tors removal kit K&N filter with lid DG front bumper and grab bar CEET grahics and seat cover kit Temp gauge and heat sink O ring chain shock covers jetting of course Douglas rims with Razr tires Surprisingly the bike is still on its stock bore but it sure feels a lot faster than the 4 mill I had awhile back although the 4 mill used the spacer plate and no headwork. Porting soon to come along with some skids and nerfs. Compression was 120 on both sides. It sure feels good to be back on a shee.

ENGINE vito's 4 mill crank with wiseco pro lite pistons,head shaved, lightened flywheel, boyesen carbon reeds, barnett clutch and springs, fmf fatty pipes and silencers, k&n air filter, jetted CHASSIS Pro Armor full frame and swingarm skidplates, AC nerf bars and front bumper, MSR Dominator handlebars, race cut front fender, aftermarket grill TIRES RAZR Holeshots all the way around in good shape, one front has a slow leak.   19. I am absolutely positive it has a spacer plate, I know it is hard to tell in the pics with my crappy camera but it is there no doubt.
  20. upon examination there is some kind of metal plate under the cylinder it appears to be about 1/64 of an inch or so. pics are not the easiest to see but there is a gasket,spacer plate,gasket and then the cylinder
  21. well the guy said that it had a vito's stroker kit and he couldn't remember if it was a 4 or 5 mm I am still waiting to get the motor paper work from him
  22. Hi everyone you guys got a great site here. So I just picked up a 2002 Banshee with the following mods. vito's 4 mill kit, shaved head, cylinders are on there third bore with wiseco pro lite pistons, fmf fatty pipes and silencers, k&n filter, lightened flywheel, barnett dirt digger clutch and springs,and of course jetted. ac nerf bars, msr dominator handle bars, and ac front bumper. I acquired the bike in a trade. I traded a 86 250r,no title, with just a fmf fatty pipe and jet that i payed 1300 for it with a twisted off crank key and bad cdi and way overjetted. So I fixed everything and had it running good. Then a guy that must have been a complete idiot offered me the straight up trade for the 02 Banshee, with title, and of course I was all over it with the mods it had and the value of my bike compared to the Banshee. The guy kept burning up the pistons in the Banshee because he had it way lean. It is fixed now and the bike runs awesome but I WANT MORE POWER! So here are my questions. I feel that there is a lot of hidden power in this bike and I want to bring it out, so all questions, comments,and concerns are welcome. Keep in mind I only have 1300 bucks in this thing now so I should be able to throw plenty of money at it and still be able to sell it for what I got in it. 1. There is no spacer plate on the bike and I know he didn't have the head reshaped......I don't quite understand port timing but this is holding me back correct? 2. The previous owner did not have the cylinders ported and I know from what I have researched on this site that this is definitely holding me back with stock porting. 3. What other simple mods would make this thing rip harder. 4. What is my bike worth with the mods listed? Thanks, TUCK Here is a pic of the 250r that I traded and the 02 Banshee I traded for.
